I had dim sum today . In New Zealand we are back to normal. I had chicken feet for the first time (and possibly the last) 😲
Ha, I don’t remember the last time I had chicken feet 😄 Glad New Zealand is back to normal 👍

Your so inspiring during this time during the corona in Australia so bad where I am lockdown etc 😔 when summer.hits Australia and the bushfires hit again in few months it will make corona worse as people are struggling here.
Sorry to hear that. Please stay safe! I’m honored to make tiny impact during these hard times 😊

Hi, Ling. Wow, looks so good, and not difficult at all. I have a question if you don't mind. What's wrong with the shitake mushroom stem? I notice just about everyone cuts it off and doesn't use it. Thanks for another great video.
The stem especially the end is very hard. If you look closely, I only cut of the end. Thank you 😊
Good morning, Ling!
Thank you for your recipe! You don’t put Yú luǎn on top?
Siu Mai is so good, as is all Dim Sum.
Love Chiwei Zhengpaigu (with the squash on the bottom), Har Gow, Fung Zao, Jian Dui, Gai Lan,
Chaohou Fun Guo, No Mai Gai, Xiaolongbao, Cheong Fun, Dantat, Cha Siu Bao ... now I’m hungry!!
My family loves Chinese cooking, especially Dim Sum. We learned how to order in Cantonese via cooks, waiters/waitresses at different restaurants in the International District in Seattle. Some I still have trouble pronouncing! 😊
I don’t have Yu Luan 😄 I know dim sum items never end. Thank you!
ChineseHealthyCook - You’re welcome!! Yes, Dim Sum dishes are never ending, I’ve yet to try them all. I tend to order and eat my favorites!
I love dim sum ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dim_sum ). There are so many varieties that I cannot possibly learn to make them all at home. I hope that there will be more dim sum restaurants offering take-out/delivery service during the pandemic.
Please steam for 15 minutes not 50 if I misspoke 😄
Please share with us the cut of pork you used? Was it Pork Shoulder? Also, I appreciate that you added the carrots. As a Mother, we do what we can to get our children to eat vegetables. 😊
Pork shoulder is also called pork butt, inexpensive cut of meat. You can use any cut for this recipe, minced pork. Thank you 😊
肉馅好吃的秘诀在于摔打。省事的话可用和面机的平头慢速搅打3分钟。
Really want to try this out. Was that 15 minutes or 50 minutes?
15 minutes. Enjoy 😊
How you make the one with the sauce in it
Can you also make a vegan version of it ? I would really appreciate it 😃

Hi ling! I have to tell you, thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge and recipes, i always look forward to your videos. My husband is from hong kong and i have made over 10 of your recipes now for him and they always turn out soo good! So thank you so much. Also do you have a hot chili oil recipe you can share? I wish i knew how to make that
So happy my recipes are helpful. Thank you 😊 Here’s my chili oil recipe years ago: ruclips.net/video/ZgFa5yrgliQ/видео.html
Well your husband and kids are lucky they have traditional Chinese food regularly. Are the Chinese restaurant near you still open ? Our ones are mainly doing take away now but i prefer to sit inside for the atmosphere when possible. 😍⚘
I started ordering takeout over weekend. No dining-in is allowed yet
I would love to know where you but that knife?
I bought from an Asian store many years ago 😊
What would you pair the pork with if not shrimp?
You can just skip shrimp. Enjoy 😊
How do you make the chile oil
Here’s my recipe: ruclips.net/video/ZgFa5yrgliQ/видео.html
Hi! Is that a tablespoon? Thank you.
It is a teaspoon, looking bigger in front of the camera.
Can you please clarify, steam for 15 or 50 minutes?
15min. maybe a little longer if you crowd the steamer but try to leave some air between each dumpling
Yes, 15 minutes 😊
I have a question, is it 15 minutes or 50 minutes?
15 minutes 😊
com, plete w ,at , ch , nice job , ilike ur work
Did you say steam for 15 minutes or 50?
NadrianATRS 15 minutes. Sorry if I misspoke 😄
ChineseHealthyCook I just made it and it was delicious! I found using the food processor took care of a lot of the work for me
Great job 👍 If you cant finish, you may freeze them in a zip bag as I did. Yes, I sometimes use the food processor too 😊
I don't eat pork and require more vegetables. How can I make this to fit my dietary needs without it losing flavor or being too dry?
You can skip pork and add more shrimp, or substitute with chicken. Traditionally it’s made of pork 😊
You could replace the pork with ground chicken and extra firm tofu for moisture, add more shiitake and oyster sauce for umami, and add some diced water chestnuts or daikon for some more veggies!
How many minutes 15 or 50
15 minutes. Sorry if I wasn’t clear.
ChineseHealthyCook no problem your recipes look good I’m gonna start cooking I have a wok I love it I’ve been doing Chinese on and off for a little while
hi
You forgot to garnish with a green pea
My version 😄
I have never seen shumai with diced carrots inside.
Who said we can’t add carrots? 😄
@@ChineseHealthyCook nobody said you could not add carrots, in fact carrots are prevalent in shumai recipe. However no dim sum places i have been to ever used diced carrots that big size in their shumai?
Agreed that I should’ve chopped finely. Thank you ☺️
@@ChineseHealthyCook 👍
I totally disagree with adding diced carrot to the _siu mai_ ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shumai#Cantonese_siumaai ) filling. I have been to many *authentic HK-Cantonese-style* dim sum restaurants in my life, and have never encountered carrot in the _siu mai_ filling.
My version 😄 Carrots actually add some sweetness.
Miss dim sum and shu mai and the lazy susan and over-eating with family and friends and arguing to pay the bill. (ok i don't miss paying the bill!). This video already has ASMR included
Wasn’t it worth the bill? 😄
@@ChineseHealthyCook it's always why i eat the most!
