The Sabbath day by its definition is a ceremony. For something to be moral by definition whether written by God’s finger or spoken by God, has to be true 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It’s only when we are born again by accepting the gospel as defined in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 that we have Sabbath rest. But this is the person Jesus Christ, when we believe we are placed in Christ, this is our position forever. It’s not a day (shadow) but it is our Lord and Savior and His finished work on our behalf.

@@jimlileybrother how can you say the sabath day is a ceremonial law, to what this sabath day was showing? When we say it is a ceremonial law we reffer to a law that is from the sacriface of the lambs in the court of the tabernacle or in the court of the temple, those sacrifaces of the lamb showed to the real sacriface of Jesus Christ. To what was reffering a sabath day in a sacriface ceremony? It is a law, that God want to give to us, is a moral law between Him and us, He being the creator and we just the creation He could ask from us, everything that He wants to, it doesnt matter what He wants, if He says dont eat that forbiden fruit, we should do that, if He says rest in a particular day, the one which I say so, we should do it, and don t ask question, and If we love Him, we will obey His requests. So another point is, that the seventh sabath rest day was given at the creation, read Genesis, he said he made the seventh day He sanctified it and He rest it, if He rest in it He told Adam and Eve to do it, and also everyone whom accepted God. And also you said in another comment that the sabath of the seventh day it is not a sign of God but read Ezekiel 20:12: Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them" so, He made the seventh day, He rested, and He gave this sabath days to man as a sign between God and man, and whomsoever is obeying that is it sanctified. That is what Bible says not me, so if God has sign, and satan the dragon, is just a copycat of God, he has a sign to, which is another day, not the seventh day, but the first day. And I tell you soon very soon USA goverment will gave a national law about this day, and will compel through law every man, slave or free, rich or poor to accept this day, and they will do that ofcourse, except the truly repent SDA, and then the division will be clear as day, and as it is said in Revelation those who will accept this mark of the beast will persecute those who dont. And one thing is for sure, which you will need to look for to be sure which is the tru remenent church, is that they are a few, when you will see all the world against us, SDA, the people who obey all the law of the true God, just a few, you will remember this comment, but I pray to God for you that may not be to late😢, cuz this is the sad part 🥺🙏

Fulfilled doesn’t mean abolish or destroy. It means to establish.

    • @ColleenTinker
      @ColleenTinker 6 месяцев назад +2

"Fulfill" does not mean "establish". Fulfill means "To bring into actuality; effect or make real.
"fulfilled their promises; fulfilled her dream."
To do, perform, or obey (a task or order, for example); carry out.
To meet (a requirement or condition); satisfy. synonym: satisfy.
      Similar: satisfy
To use Paul's example in Galatians, to fulfill a will or a trust, it requires the person's death. The trustee then distributes all the value held in the estate. When the estate is distributed to those appointed to receive it, the will or trust is "fulfilled" and is no longer binding. The assets have been distributed. The Old Covenant was fulfilled when the Lord Jesus died and broke the curse of the law by paying for sin and rising from death. Now He has inaugurated a NEW covenant IN his blood, and when we trust Him, we enter all the benefits of the new covenant. The old covenant is FULFILLED and is no longer binding. That is what Jesus meant when He said He came not to abolish but to fulfill the law. I did not abolish my mother's living trust when I managed the distribution of her assets upon her death. I fulfilled her trust. It is finished. The beneficiaries received their benefits, and the trust, or the covenant promising the distribution of her assets, is completed and is no longer binding.

What is interesting is that Jesus Christ clashed with the Pharisees who were schooled in the law of Moses about working on the Sabbath. Jesus Christ performed most of His healing miracles on the Sabbath and the Pharisees didn't like it one bit . Jesus even told them in Mark chapter 2 that HE IS THE LORD OF THE SABBATH . This he said because He wanted to clarify to the legalistic Pharisees that as God in the flesh , He was greater than the Law of Moses , which He as God wrote . The Lord of the Sabbath had come , and with His sacrificial death on the Cross and resurrection , He became the fulfilment of our "Sabbath rest." The salvation we have in Christ Jesus has made the Old Covenant which included the Law of Moses is no longer binding under the Covenant of Grace. When Jesus said in Mark 2 : 27 "THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN AND NOT THE MAN FOR SABBATH , "HE was attesting to the fact that , just as the Sabbath day , was originally instituted to give man rest from his labors .Jesus Christ came to provide us rest from laboring to achieve our own salvation by our own weeks . Because of His sacrifice on the Cross , we can now forever cease from labouring to attain God's favour and rest in His mercy and grace .

Adam and Eve kept the Sabbath. The fouth commandment is a reminder to keep the Sabbath which was there immediately after the creation. Do we now rest on any day because man has decided so?
The original Ark of the covenant is in the heavenly sanctuary and within it are the Ten commandments which includes the Sabbath day. They were written by God's hand.

Dear YOU NEVER read this in the Bible "Adam and Eve kept the Sabbath. The fouth commandment is a reminder to keep the Sabbath which was there immediately after the creation"
HERESY if not BLASPHEMY. I'd run and hide and REPENT SINNER!
      ====
      WHAT ADVENTISM TEACHES: (HERESY)
The Sabbath is eternally binding upon men from creation.
Seventh-day Adventism says the Sabbath was made for mankind in general and was given to Adam in the Garden of Eden. Sabbath-keeping, therefore, is a sign of loyalty to God, the Creator.
God instituted the Sabbath in Eden; and so long as the fact that He is our Creator continues to be a reason why we should worship Him, so long the Sabbath will continue as its sign and memorial. ...The keeping of the Sabbath is a sign of loyalty to the true God. The Great Controversy, p. 386).
The Sabbath was kept by Adam in his innocence in holy Eden; by Adam, fallen yet repentant, when he was driven from his happy estate. It was kept by all the patriarchs, from Abel to righteous Noah, to Abraham, to Jacob. GC p. 398.
      ====
      What the Bible teaches:
      1. The seventh day, though mentioned in Gen. 2:2-3, We find no command to keep a Sabbath. The Sabbath was first mentioned in Exodus 16 and was not given to anyone until it was given to Israel in the wilderness (Ne. 9:13-14).
      2. The sabbath was given, not to mankind in general, but to Israel alone as a special covenant sign between her and God (Ex. 31:13,17).
      3. Ellen White added to Scripture in teaching that Adam and the patriarchs kept the sabbath. The Bible says absolutely nothing about this. In fact, it cannot be true. If the sabbath had been kept by mankind in general from the creation, it could not have been given as a special sign to Israel.

You said "The original Ark of the covenant blah blah blah" Heresy alert.
First: The law wasn't placed inside the ark of the covenant. The law was the Torah: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. And it was not placed in the ark.
Second: Only the Ten Commandments were placed inside the ark. But the New Testament attaches absolutely NO significance whatsoever to this fact.
Third: The most important commandments -- (1) love the Lord with all your heart and (2) love your neighbor as yourself -- were not placed inside the ark.
Fourth: Therefore, the commandments that were placed inside the ark were of LESS importance and LESS significance than those placed outside.
Fifth: When Jesus said, a NEW commandment give I unto you, he was giving NEW commandments because the OLD commandments were being done away with. Therefore, the need for the new.
Sixth: Nine of the Ten Commandments were RENEWED in the New Testament in improved form. The only one that wasn't was the Fourth. You will not find the Fourth Commandment, the Seventh-day Sabbath Commandment, in the New Testament.
Seventh: The Fourth Commandment's DAY-LONG rest was fulfilled in the New Testament in the New Covenant's ETERNITY-LONG rest in Jesus Christ.
Eighth: Nowhere in the New Testament will you find the idea that only the Ten Commandments are now written on the fleshy tablets of our hearts. The whole law (Genesis through Deuteronomy) is written there. But in a different and improved form: And that form is the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. And the objective reality we look to for guidance in how we conduct our lives must be, first and foremost, the words and acts of Jesus Christ as recorded in the New Testament. This informs the rest of the New Testament, such as Paul's letters. And the whole New Testament, in turn, informs the Old Testament. Not the other way around.

The law was a shadow of things TO COME, not of things that already existed. The lambs were shadows of Jesus. The sabbath was a shadow of Jesus (Col 2:16 17). The whole law was a shadow of the "good things TO COME" (Heb. 10:1). It was not a shadow of literal things in heaven...but Hebrews says it was a pattern after the likeness of heavenly things. Those heavenly things were the actual reality of God's provision for humanity: the incarnate Lord Jesus. The law was a shadow and a "witness" (Romans 3:21) of the righteousness that was APART FROM THE LAW that was going to be realized in Jesus' shed blood, His burial and resurrection. The law is said to be a shadow of things TO COME, not of pre-existing furniture and heavenly tables of stone!

There are no "holy days" designated in the new covenant. Romans 14:5, 6 says that some people keep one day, others keep another. Each person is to be convinced in his own mind. Acts 15 said no commands of the law were to be mandated for gentile believers; they were receiving the Holy Spirit as they believed the good news of Jesus' finished atonement WITHOUT knowing or coming under the law. When we are in Christ, we enter His rest-an eternal rest that is ours through faith by His grace given to us in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. Christians meet together on Sunday not because Sabbath was changed; Sabbath was never changed. Rather, the Lord Jesus FULFILLED it. We now worship Him, and we meet together on the first day because that is the day He rose from death; that is the day the church was formed!

I defer to Colleen’s explanation, but I will share how I would answer the questions you asked.
      1. There was a Sabbath rest (the cessation of creating) but this was not a 24 hour period of time, it was a never ending Sabbath. No more creating needed to be done.
When reading the bible we have to ask who, when and why it was written. Is it a descriptive or prescriptive passage? For the Christian it would be a descriptive passage when God said to remember, understanding that ‘remember’ can apply for past instruction as well as future application. There is an element of creation rest(cessation) also God had given the Israelites an example when providing the manna 6 days and not on the 7th day. The Sabbath for the Christian is a type for the finished work of Christ the anti-type. We as Christian’s enter into the never ending Sabbath rest when we are born again. The person of Christ is our Sabbath, not a day given to Israel when in the desert.
      2. That the disciples kept and preached on the Sabbath for more than a relatively short time, is at best an assumption. As Jews they would want to share the gospel with their people. We know however they already had rejected the messiah by crucifying Christ. The disciples were rejected rather quickly by the Pharisees and history shows that the Christian believers were meeting regularly on the first day as the norm, by the end of the first century.
      3. The 3rd part of your question comes primarily from Ellen G Whites writings and not the scriptures. The three angels messages as defined and taught by the SDA counterfeit Christian denomination are heresy.

Read Galatians every day for a month, from start to finish. It's only six chapters. The death sentence was the heart of the law: "If you break one law, you broke it all, and breaking a law demands death." Everyone deserves death. No one has ever kept the law perfectly. Jesus showed that He was LORD of the Sabbath: He was Over it, not under it, and He used the sabbath to reveal that He was God. He did "break" the terms of the law: He touched dead people and lepers without doing ritual cleansing. He did these things because He could not be defiled by them. He brought healing and cleansing to the unclean. He systematically did what the law said a Jew could NOT do-because He Was God. He was showing Israel that He was the Messiah-God Himself. He was the LORD of the law, the LORD of the Sabbath. Touching lepers, commanding the paralytic to carry a load on Sabbath which the law forbade...these were not sin because Jesus had authority over the shadows of the law. Colossians 2:16-17.

Jesus warned His disciples of false prophets. The earthly sanctuary patterned the one in heaven. If you do not believe in it that is your problem. Sister you are playing with sematic. The law defines or points out sin is similar or the same thing. People run to Paul in Col 2:14 to justify their false interpretations of the law. In Matthew 5:17,18 Jesus did not come to destroy the law or the prophets but to fulfill it.

    • @ColleenTinker
      @ColleenTinker 6 месяцев назад +1

Jeffrey, CONTEXT, please. "Fulfill" does not mean to make the law our rule of faith and practice. It means He filled its purpose full of its intended meaning. Everything it required-He did. As a last will and testament is fulfilled when a person dies and the executor distributes the assets to the intended beneficiaries, so Jesus fulfilled the law's shadows, and when we believe and trust His finished atonement, the benefits of God's forgiveness, eternal life, and blessings are imputed to the believer. The law is now obsolete, as a fulfilled will or trust is obsolete after it has been fulfilled. Paul uses this argument in Galatians. I suggest that your read Galatians every day for a month and ask the Lord to teach you what He knows He wants you to learn!

@@ColleenTinker You and I know that the scriptures cannot contradict themselves. Paul cannot contradict Jesus' spoken words and so forth. Jesus made it clear in Matt5: 17,18 that as long as the heaven and earth remain one jot or one tittle of the law will not be removed till all will be fulfilled or accomplished. Jesus came to exalt not end the moral law-the decalogue which some scholars saw fit to remove the 4th and still called it the decalogue. Context reading indicates that Jesus is referring to 10 C (v21 Jesus quoted the 6th Commandment) The sabbath days referred to in Col2: 16,17 was not the weekly 7th day Sabbath in Ex20:8 which points backward to creation and those in Col 2:16,17 points forward to Jesus' first advent. These came to an end at the cross. Fine I will take your advice and read the book of Galatians. But if Paul is saying the law is obsolete because it has been fulfilled then clearly this is a contradiction and one of us must be wrong in our interpretation. In my brief reading of the book of Galatians it mentioned a lot about Jesus and the law and how we are justified or made right with God. I noted a passage which stated that Jesus redeemed us not from the law but from its curse or penalty of the law which is death. If Jesus saved us from curse of the law how then is the law becomes obsolete? If a husband divorces his wife it does not make the law of divorce obsolete. Likewise, Jesus saves us from the penalty of the law-death-but the law still exists to play its function of pointing out sin in man and their need of a Saviour. In my observation many scholars taught the abolition of God's 10 Commandments simply to get rid of the Sabbath Commandment. To accept 9/10 of it is unscriptural.

@@jefferywilfred1678 All Ten of the Decalogue are fulfilled in Jesus and are no longer for the church (see Hebrews 8:13; they are obsolete because they are fulfilled). We do not get our morality from the law but from the Author, God. Now we have a NEW law, as Hebrews 7:11, 12 say we must because we have a new priesthood. Paul says he was not under the law but under the law of Christ. (1 Cor 9:20-22). When we trust in Jesus' FINISHED work (the completion of the law's requirements including the death penalty), we are now under a NEW law, the Law of Christ. It contains all the same moral requirements as the Decalogue plus many more: do not lust, do not hate, do not slander, do not indulge in idle talk, to not indulge greed which is idolatry. We are under a MUCH higher standard than Israel was under when the Law was their authority. Further, we cannot divorce the Ten from the entire law: do not mix linen and wool; do not boil a kid in its mother's milk, etc. The Law was a unit; break one and thus break them all. Now we are under the Law of Christ. He is our righteousness, gives us His resurrection life, and when we believe, we pass from death to life (John 5:24). He imputes His personal righteousness to us when we believe (Phil. 3:9). Read Galatians, the whole book every day, for a month, and ask the Lord to show you what He wants you to know!

@@angel-lasmart7911 As an ex-Adventist, the Sabbath was the hardest doctrine for me to renounce. I thought their other teachings were wrong, but I thought they had a point regarding the Sabbath as there are no verses in the Bible indicating that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday. Then I read thoroughly Hebrews chapters 3 and 4 which states that a believer’s sabbath rest is in Christ. I realized then that the seventh-day Sabbath had been fulfilled in Christ--that He is my Sabbath rest. This occurred years before I heard of Colleen Tinker and the Former Adventist group.

Although I arrived at this conclusion independently through studying Hebrews verse by verse, subsequently I have heard the pastor of my church preach the same thing when he did a verse-by-verse sermon series on Hebrews. Moreover, others have this same conclusion including Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary. Here is what they say regarding this subject:
Sabbatisomos (a sabbath keeping) “is used in Hbr 4:9 ‘a sabbath rest’ [note that the NASB translates “rest” in HBR 4:9 as ‘sabbath rest’ as do some other translations] “(akin to sabbatizo, “to keep the Sabbath”, used e.g. in EXD 16:30 but not in the N.T.); here the sabbath keeping is the perpetual sabbath ‘rest’ to be enjoyed uninterruptedly by believers in fellowship with the Father and the Son, in contrast to the weekly Sabbath under the Law. Because this sabbath ‘rest’ is the ‘rest’ of God Himself, HBR 4:10, its full fruition is yet future, though believers now enter into it. In whatever way they enter into Divine ‘rest’, that which they enjoy is involved in an indissoluble relation with God.” Vines Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, Thomas Nelson, Nashville, TN, page 529.
This is what is meant when Paul said that the Sabbath was the shadow of what was to come, and that Jesus is the substance.
Colossians 2:16-17 (NKJV): So let no judge in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
There are problems with your understanding of Isaiah 66:22-23. Here are these verses (from the NKJV):
“And it shall come to pass that from NEW MOON to another and from one Sabbath to another all flesh shall come to worship before Me”, says the Lord.
If the Sabbath is going to be kept every week in the new heavens and earth, then so will be the New Moons. Are you keeping the New Moons, or have they already been fulfilled in Christ?
According to Revelation 21:23-25 and 22:5 there will not be a moon and or a sun in the eternal state. Neither will there be night. As this is the case, how can the Sabbath be observed when it starts at sundown?
What these verses are saying is that every day of the month and every day of the week, all flesh will worship the Lord. In other words, there will be continuous worshipping of the Lord.
As far as the two verses you mentioned about keeping the commandments, all believers keep the Sabbath has they have a permanent Sabbath rest in Christ. Paul and the writer of Hebrews have made it clear that seventh day Sabbath was a shadow of the permanent rest in Christ. So, Christians who do not “keep” the seventh day Sabbath are keeping the commandments of God.
Here is what Paul said about the Galatians who were being influenced by the Judaizers and the pagans:
Galatians 4:9-13 (NKJV): But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements to which you desire again to be in bondage. You observe days, and months and seasons and years. I am afraid for you lest I have labored for you in vain.

Rather it was initiated in Genesis, in the garden of Eden where God finished creation created Adam (& madam) and then COMMANDED ADAM, "You shall not eat nor touch..., lest you die". Die/death/deceasing is the NEGATIVE consequence given by God, it was the clear edit and verdict.... THIS WAS THE SUM, THE TOTALLITY of the general heavenly view of humanity and earth life since day one! The curse of the Law which is the ever-present REPROACH, the consequence of sin in mankind since creation and really not just in Exodus, this very curse uttered by God in Eden was EVENTUALLY!, FINALLY! and EFFECTIVELY dealt with by Jesus Christ. He took the curse upon himself as it were a clothing, a covering garment, a coat of human sin and worn it through his crucifixion where - upon the cursed CROSS on Calvary Jesus nailed "the ordinances that were against us" as stated in, among other scriptural passages, Colossians 2:14. Jesus nailed the edict/verdict against Adam and mankind onto the Cross! Now who dares to "un-nailed" it to again reinforce, implement and enslave mankind all over again? How dare anyone!? Some thoughts on the changing of the law in Daniel: the whole world is trying to change what it means to love your neighbor biblically (for to love your neighbor biblically fulfills the law). We see this in America as our culture gets darker and darker. True biblical love is considered evil and the sensual, wicked, demonic acts are called good and loving (I won't go into detail, but we all know what's going on in our country). I'm not saying this is exactly what's happening in the book of Daniel, but these are things I've been thinking on.

As a former Adventist I can answer your questions:
      1. I no longer believe the 70-week interpretation of Daniel as understood by the SDA Church. This prophecy starts in 444 BC when the command to rebuild the walls and city was made. At the end of the 69th week (483 years) Jesus was crucified. The clock stops until the Antichrist makes a covenant with many for a week (7 years). In the middle of the week, he breaks the covenant. There will be wars and desolation occurring until God destroys the Antichrist. Note that some Christians will not agree with this interpretation, but many do.
      2. The cleansing of the sanctuary is what occurred after Antiochus Epiphanes IV desecrated the temple by sacrificing pigs on the altar, placing an idol in the temple, forbidding the Jews access to it, removing all of the vessels and vail, and many other abominations. Most Christians believe this as well as some Jews. Hannukah is the Jewish holiday that celebrates the cleansing of the temple.

What was said was on the seventh day of creation there was no evening and morning stated for that day. God ceased His creating because it was complete. This was an unending Sabbath (ceasing ) since no more creating was needed. This is a type of Sabbath rest that those who are born again enter into because of the finished work that Christ accomplished at the cross and rising from the dead. We can now rest in this antitypical Sabbath 24/7.

I am asked concerning the law in Galatians. What law is the schoolmaster to bring us to Christ? I answer: Both the ceremonial and the moral code of ten commandments. 1SM 233.1
Now let’s read Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
So Galatians 3 says we are no longer under the schoolmaster and well Ellen said the school master was the Ten Commandments.

I have never heard the SDA church teach that we are "saved" by keeping the 10 commandments. We are saved by the faith of Jesus, alone. We live by the commandments of God because it's the laws of Gods kingdom on earth AND in heaven. Only 10 laws yet you are unwilling to obey them? A day of Sabbath rest does remain and instead of the seventh day, it is TODAY (every day) (Hebrews 3 and 4.) why? Because as Hebrews 4 says we enter into God's rest through our belief and thus rest from our works as God did from his. Jesus is our rest. He is our Sabbath. @@Perseverance4477 please read this.... and read it with an open mind.
What an amazing plan God had to redeem us unto himself!
In Hebrews 8, the author quotes from Jeremiah 33 where God said he would establish a new covenant that was NOT like the old covenant, and that he would place His law in our minds and write it on our hearts. Is that a reference to the Law of Moses (ten commandments)? No, it is the Law of Christ as described by Paul in Galatians 6 and 1 Corinthians 9. In fact the author of Hebrews closes chapter 8 with, "In speaking of a new covenant (Law of Christ), he (God) makes the first covenant (Law of Moses / 10 commandments) obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away." Realize that the old covenant literally WAS the ten commandments. See Exodus 34:27-28 for reference.
Many would say well if we're not under the 10 commandments then we're free to sin! No, far from it for two reasons. First, Paul in Romans 6:9-13 lays out quite clearly that new covenant believers are not to sin willfully. (This is also confirmed by the apostle John in his first letter--1 John 3:9--and by the author Hebrews in Chapter 10). But second--and even more importantly--Christ himself RAISED the moral standard of the law, so as we pass from the Law of Moses to the Law of Christ, our new commandment is one that is greater: LOVE.
In the sermon on the mount in Matthew 5, Jesus says he did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. He goes further to say that it will not pass away UNTIL ALL THINGS WERE ACCOMPLISHED. He then says that we need to SURPASS the righteousness of the pharisees to see the kingdom of heaven. Now, the apostle John in the 19th chapter of his gospel specifically says that Jesus, saw that ALL THINGS WERE ACCOMPLISHED just before he died. But even beyond that let's keep reading further in Matthew to see where Jesus goes next in the sermon on the mount...
Jesus has just said that we need to surpass the righteousness of the Pharisees to see the kingdom of heaven. He then goes on not once, not twice, not three or four, but SIX times to quote the old covenant law / 10 commandments (You have heard that it was said.) And each time he RAISES the standard of righteousness (But I say to you).
An example: “YOU HAVE HEARD THAT IT WAS SAID to those of old, ‘You shall not murder (6th Commandment); and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ BUT I SAY TO YOU that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment." Matthew 5:21‭-‬22 ESV
Another example: “YOU HAVE HEARD THAT IT WAS SAID, ‘You shall not commit adultery (7th commandment).’ BUT I SAY TO YOU that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
      Matthew 5:27‭-‬28 ESV
Last example, but feel free to read the others in Matthew 5: “YOU HAVE HEARD THAT IT WAS SAID, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ BUT I SAY TO YOU, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."
      Matthew 5:43‭-‬44 ESV
Time and time again Christ RAISED the standard ABOVE the old covenant commandments. In the 12th chapter of Mark's gospel a scribe asks Jesus, "What is the greatest commandment?" Did Jesus say it was to not covet? To honor your father and mother? To keep the Sabbath? Did he even list a single one of the ten commandments? No. He said, "The greatest commandment is to LOVE the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself. There is NO other COMMANDMENT greater than these.” The scribe then said that Jesus had spoken wisely and that these two were FAR GREATER than all the burnt sacrifices and offerings (the old covenant law). Did Christ reprimand him and point him back to the law? No. He said the scribe was close to the kingdom of heaven!
Paul says the Law of Christ is to LOVE one another and to carry each other's burdens. Jesus Christ himself stated that loving the Lord with all of our being and loving one another are the greatest commandments. And you know what? If we truly have that amount of love for God we will naturally have no other Gods or idols before him (Commandments 1&2). If we love the Lord our God with all of our being, we will honor his name (Commandment 3). We will honor the Sabbath which is no longer a day of the week as the author of Hebrews tells us in chapter 4. It says through our belief in Christ that we enter into God's rest and rest from our works as God did from his. Hebrews 4 says a day of Sabbath rest remains, and that it isn't a particular day of the week, it is TODAY (every day). Why? Because our Sabbath rest is in Christ, and if our greatest creed is love for God and love for our fellow man then of course we love and honor his son who is BOTH God and man.
If the Law of Christ is love for one another, we will always honor our father and mother (Commandment 5). If the Law of Christ is love, we will not murder (Commandment 6). If the Law of Christ is love, we will not commit adultery (Commandment 7). If the Law of Christ is love, we will be honest toward one another and not steal or lie (Commandments 8 and 10). If the Law of Christ is love, we will love God for what he has blessed us with, and we will love our brother and be happy if he is blessed of God. Accordingly we will not cover what is not ours (Commandment 9).
Paul wrtes in ‭Romans‬ ‭13:8‭-‬10‬, "Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,' and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law."
Under the Law of Christ, we honor the principles of the old covenant while fully recognizing that we are above it, because Christ is the mediator of a better covenant. In 70 AD when the temple was destroyed by the Romans, all existing manifestations of the old covenant vanished away, just like the author of Hebrews says in chapter 8. Christ does not point us back to the law, but the law pointed us forward to Christ. He is the center of it all and it's unquestionable fulfillment. The old covenant has vanished, which as Exodus 34:27-28 tells us IS the ten commandments. (The law of Moses, the old covenant, and the ten commandments are all one and the same.) Now we are under the law of Christ!
Think of the transfiguration. Jesus, with his closest inner circle, is on the mountain and here appears Elijah and Moses. Peter--being awestruck--offers to build three shelters, one for Christ, one for Moses, and one for Elijah, ignorantly equating them with one another. Suddenly, God's presence in the form of a cloud covers the mountain and the voice of God thunders out "THIS is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. Listen to HIM." The disciples being struck with fear fall to the ground, covering their heads from the awesomeness of God's power. When Christ tells them not to be afraid, they raise their heads and you know what? Only Jesus was left standing there. Moses (symbol of the law) and Elijah (symbol of the prophets) had vanished. Only Jesus Christ our blessed savior remained!
How free and liberating it is to know the new covenant has assured us of salvation and spiritual rest in Christ, not due to our own merit but due to his. Not due to our own current works, but due to his completed work on the cross. He is our rest. He is our hope. He is the only way we have to the father. Believe him. Trust him. See the law of Christ as our ultimate authority as Christians. Jesus told his disciples on the way down from the mountain to keep what they'd seen a secret until he'd died and been resurrected. Why? Because his death and resurrection fully established our blessed new covenant... a covenant that is not written on tablets of stone, but is written with the Holy Spirit of God onto our very hearts.

Where does the Bible say that Satan says the law is faulty? That is EGW. The Bible tells us we are born dead in sin and must be made alive. We must be born again. (Ephesians 2:1-4; John 3:3-6).. Further, the Lord Jesus is our judge, not the law. (John 5).

By Ellen’s own teachings Satan was correct about the Law. In her teachings she says:
After the fall of man, Satan declared that human beings were proved to be incapable of keeping the law of God, and he sought to carry the universe with him in this belief. Satan's words appeared to be true, and Christ came to unmask the deceiver.. 1SM 252.1
Now think about this, in the SDA theology Satan was correct and was telling the truth, because Ellen says we can keep the Law WITH the help of Jesus.
In her teachings, Satan didn’t say humans couldn’t keep the law with the help of Jesus, he said humans couldn’t keep the laws. So if the only way we can keep the law is with the help of Jesus, that means Satan was correct is saying we were unable to keep the law.
So in the SDA theology, Satan was telling the truth 😂
SDAs if you disagree, ask yourself, can I keep the law by myself, no help from Jesus? If the answer is no then you just proved my point.
Turn from this heresy, read the word of God without EGW writings and worldview.

I don't understand why people think keeping the 10 commandments is so hard. I've been keeping the 10 commandments since I was born again 35 yrs ago. If I slip and break a commandment, I go to Jesus, repent of my error, turn from my sin, and keep living according to God's will. This is what the Bible teaches us to do. How is it that those who claim to follow Jesus can live by 9 of His commandments but not all 10 of them? I started living by all 10 commandments when I read the Bible the first time, many years before I ever walked into any church.

Does Gods kingdom have no laws? How can you have a kingdom with no laws? It's clear according to the bible that there are laws or there would be no order to it. Just caos. Sounds like something Satan would enjoy being king of. That's not the way my Jesus runs His kingdom. Lawless! No way!

Trust Jesus when He said, harlots, tax collectors and all hordes of sinners get to heaven before the legalists (Pharisees, Sadducees, etc.). Why was that? And why did Jesus specifically appear to "work" on the sabbath while the legalists gnashed the teeth at him, waiting to take him to the cross, even earlier? Jesus is the fulfillment of the law...he is the finished work of the law. So from his death on, the believer is to look at Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith...this is the new testament. That does not make the law irrelevant, but by abiding in the Lord and the Lord abiding in you, you will have more than fulfilled the law because your soul is now enmeshed with the Lord and sin no longer rules in our members. We have the mind of Christ and nature of the life giving spirit. Legalism really misses the point of salvation BIG TIME. But the sad part, is folks who have just sworn to themselves that would not take Jesus' death as enough. When you are bent on keeping the law, you are just a modern day pharisee...essentially, you don't need Jesus because you imagine within yourself that you can keep the whole law...of which not even the Jews could do so! What of you? Remember what Paul stood up and confronted Peter, "why do you, living after the freedom of gentiles (that they now have through Christ), now burden the gentiles to live after the Jews (i.e., the law in which you have been rescued from?). HARD HEARTS still exist, unfortunately. Doctrine and religionism is the modern-day liven of the pharisees.

Miss youtuber there is a difference between the Law of Sin and Death and the Law of the Spirit. The Law of the spirit came from God and the scriptures said it is Holy and the commandments are Holy. And I ain't not 7th day Adventist to know this. You need to unlearn the lies.

24 Christ went into the Most Holy Place. But it was not the man-made one, which is only a copy of the real one. He went into heaven, and he is there now before God to help us.
