PALM DESERT & IDYLLWILD | A December trip to Palm Desert, Bombay Beach & Idyllwild in the Snow!

We spent a month living in Desert and doing all the fun Palm Springs day trips. Hiking in La Quinta is a must! A fun day trip to the Salton Sea, Bombay Beach, Salvation Mountain and Slab City. Then as soon as it snowed, we took the Pines to Palms Highway to Idyllwild. Vlog 24 | Filmed December 2020.

That view was amazing. I spent a couple of weeks in Palm Desert in early January in the late '90s, and I drove out to Idyllwild twice a day. The drive is enchanting, that plateau with the high grasses and pine trees is enchanting, and the town itself is enchanting. And the winding road up into the mountains from Palm Desert is amazing too.
BTW, you two give off that "comfortable and secure, retired and still playing, making woopie" vibe that emerged initially in the late '90s. When the advertising industry began telling retirees they were still children having fun. All the loose ends tied off, the clothes always new and never wrinkled, and you never break a sweat! (wink)

Guy, we went to Idyllwild in November and experienced the crowds too. Unfortunately for us, while walking around town I began to feel sick. I went back to my RV and napped for 5 hours. Turns out that was day 1 of 14 days being sick with CV-19. Being in a RV, all 4 of us got sick. Hope you are well bud! The YT channel is great!
