You know in Tahquitz canyon those vines are indigenous grapes found only in that canyon. They were food for the Native Americans over the centuries and also the sycamore trees are indigenous. I’ve been hiking those canyons all my life for over 60 years since I was a little boy with my grandfather.
We do a day trip every time, Indian canyon has many trails all very close to each-other, Palm Canyon, Murray, Andria’s, and Tahquitz is a separate trail head with another fee. The vid has all the info 👍🏻
@@hikebytes Great, I appreciate this! I haven't done much in that area except the beginning of cactus to clouds when I was there for a work-related thing, but it was mid-summer (I don't think I'd have had time to do the whole thing - it was also quite hot). I also went to White Water a while ago, which is nice but a little outside of Palm Springs.
Talk about some GORGEOUS views here!!! There's nothing like a hike that ends up in a swim in such clear refreshing water. Thanks for sharing. For sure on our list now :) New subs!
Hi ! When you arrive at Indian Canyon you pay for parking they give you a map of the entire park . It is very easy to follow and each trailhead has its own parking. We went to Palm Canyon first. And there is a 1/4 mile hike called West Fork from the same trail head off to the right. Then we did Murray Canyon to seven Sisters (Best) then Andreas canyon, then Tahquitz canyon loop a totally different location and park with an entrance fee. Hope you enjoy😎😎

These look fun! I bet these are wonderful is the late spring as Palm Springs heats up. Those waterfall caves look wild!
Indian Canyon is a true Oasis get away only a couple hours away. We love it here, have gone 4 times now! Go see it spring when it’s raining here
@@hikebytes Thanks for the tip. It is a bit of a drive. I may try and add it to another trip if I'm able to. It certainly looks like it's worth it!

These places are incredible! Looks like Palm Canyon in Borrego, but even grander and more spectacular
We haven’t made it out to Borrego yet but are planning on it soon😅😅
Can you tell me where you parked and the location you show where ask the s signs are for each hike?
I will add the All Trails links to trailheads later today.
