Something you also might not know about the M6A1 and the T1E1 is the 37 both get SAPHE rounds for them which have no tracer very very useful if you're considering fighting a scary open top and you don't want to immediately give away your position to other tanks
I have been away from the game for a couple of days and likely won't be back until the end of the week BUT I did have a chance to roll around in the T1. I put it in a lineup with the M6 and let people wonder which one they were facing and then after getting killed, roll out with the other & let them think it was a backup.
Skimmed over some history of the M6 heavy. Didn't realize how weird the development was. Also didn't notice for the longest time that it has HVSS. The tanks we have in game are: The M6A1 (originally T1E3), which has a welded hull as opposed to the first T1's cast hull, and a torque converter transmission. The T1E1, which uses the cast hull, and has the electrical transmission. It was proposed as the M6A2. Up-gunned to 90mm, and rejected. Side note, the T1E2 has the cast hull and torque converter transmission, standardized as M6. Finally, the M6A2E1, tested the T29's 105mm gun and has the electrical transmission as well. So the T1, T1E1, and T1E2 have the same hull, but different transmissions. The T1E2 is the M6 but somehow the T1E1 is the M6A2. The T1E3 has the same transmission as the T1E2, but a welded hull, and became the M6A1... Military development is very strange.
You should totally get some footage of the foxes and doggies and put it up as a short. Also AFAIK the Tiger P has an electric drive too. Got experimented with a fair bit around this time, but had issues. Modern control electronics make turbo electric far more effective.
Love this spading the tank gameplay. would be fun to see your xp and when you get the upgrades aswell. Keeps us even more invested and rooting for you to do well :)
Top tier sucks balls, 3.0 to 7.0 is perfect because it actually takes skill. Top tier is just point and shoot. Everyone can pen everyone and if you dont then you shouldnt even be playing WT.
I noticed something on the M6A1, that being that the .50 Cal on the turret has no vertical limitation so it literally clips into the commanders hatch to look up 90° vertically, quite helpful against planes

Because of the new update, custom loadout filters allow the saab-105 and sk-60 to become much more potent, as they can carry missiles, bombs, and gun pods at once. 8.3 sweden also has a lot of variety, and 7.3 is pretty fun as well. Of course it can be pretty frustrating at times, but I would love to see you try. There is also the new swedish spaa that you can play at 8.3. Thanks for the consideration (day 3)

One thing I did notice is that the hull-mounted twin .50cal loses its traverse in the T1E1 vs the M6. Fortunately I didn't discover that the hard way, I was just dicking around with it in test drive mode. EDIT: I JUST noticed Bo and Sturmling were in the same game as Odd in the 3rd match xD
I wish they would have added the version with the 50 cal that is sticking out the corner of the roof that aims always toward the sky, not that the 50 cal doesn't do that but there was an enclosed 50 cal on the roof pointing at like a 30-degree to 45 angle that they made on one of these prototypes. But them 50 cals in the front of the tank they placed into the back upper corner of the roof just like they are placed in the front of this thing but made to shoot planes out the sky. But hey this thing is kool and stomps for sure.
Odd have you used the M-13UK rockets? I know you like rockets on planes and they're pretty fun. Basically airborne katyusha rockets. Also, I noticed you were in a game with BoTime in the Hurtgen match.
Since this the first example of multiple prototype variants of a US tank design being added in-game, I wonder if this means we might eventually get the T25 with its old stabilizer back someday. A man can dream, I suppose
What I want most with the T25 rn is for Gaijin to give it a better transmission. The current one is a joke. The M26 ends up with similar if not overall better acceleration because of it.
This thing is 4.7 in AB. I've seen it in action against full downtiers, and one tank can shred through an entire enemy with 10+ kills in the hands of skilled player. Crazy tough.
I hate this thing in my battles, they sit back and disappear after every kill. Even if the guy charges in, if you don't one shot they just turn and you're g o n e
Don't bother getting to top tier. It's the worst place in War Thunder, in all modes other than PvE, it's considerably worse for SL/RP grinding than mid tier (5.3-7.3), and is definitely incomparably less fun than low/mid tier. Vehicles need completely no skill to use anymore (great steering, full stabilizers, darts, thermal sights, laser rangefinders, and helicopters), there are more noobs less useful than actual bots with nothing else than premiums in their lineup than there are at 2.7, and most of those worthless scumbags leave after 1 death, resulting in every single battle becoming a one sided stomp, zero thrill or excitement. Add to this the completely nonexistent balance when russia has the most broken everything (best IFVs, best MBTs, best SPAA) and dominates 90% of matches, CAS being able to kill you with ATGMS without you seeing or hearing it, noone else other than russia being able to use CAS effectively now (their newest SPAA has over double the range of ANY OTHER IN THE GAME) and the braindead snail adding new even more overpowered and underBRed top tier premiums with every patch. Also do not forget gaijin's map design team is less competent and similarly minded as a bunch of drugged chimpanzees and in a lot of maps the opposing teams can literally snipe each other between their spawns (or it takes 20 seconds of driving out of your spawn to be able to see the enemy's spawn), which is not the case in lower BRs. My tip is if you want to actually have fun in this game then get some premiums between 4.0 and 7.0, develop several tech trees simultaneously trying to get some decent planes for your lineups, and stay there. Getting to top tier and playing it is the worst disappointment one can have in this game. Not worth the grind, not worth the money, not worth the nerves.
Getting top tier won't make you good at the game. It will insanely decrease your mentality. You better off wondering why a Puma bounced your IS-2 shot than wondering why tf there's 8 Helicopters in the air and 0 allies alive.

Air Arcade is helpful but I suggest to not be in a hurry. Relax, play just for the fun of it not like it's some sort of competition, let the game assign a squadmate for the battles & stick with them and take your time so you can learn what tactics do and don't work for the different vehicles & situations.
Ik you probably aren’t interested in a premium account but I bite the bullet on the anniversary sale and it’s been worth it imo if you can pick it up on a good discount. Pretty much get double sl and rp.
First of all, if you're a non premium user then you are best off completely forgetting about top tier. Just... don't. Develop a few different tech trees simultaneously, try to have both tanks and some decent planes for a nation to bring out together. Stick to playing BRs below 8.0, 4.0-7.0 is where most fun in War Thunder is anyway. Without premium you will most likely struggle with Silver Lions very quickly, and it's almost impossible to not loose money without premium at BRs 7.7-9.0 where vehicle repair costs are insanely high, higher than 10.0+. Top tier is the biggest disappointment one can have in this game. I wrote a longer and similar rant somewhere in the comments above, you can look for it if you wish. And to answer your question, the best way to grind tanks is ground RB with good team, and the most reliable way to grind planes (although for some people it can be vey boring and unfun) is ground pounding in air RB. Air EC is not a bad idea either, but those are even more boring in the long term than just shooting pillboxes and howitzers in ARB. DO NOT play air arcade. It's just a giant shitshow in the middle of the map with no tactics, and skipping the lower rewards it has nothing to do with how planes behave in realistic battles, and you will learn nothing impactful as to how to play them, or how to aim your guns without using the arcade aim helper. Basically by playing air arcade battles you regress yourself when it comes to plane flying skills. You can play air assault which is the same story but not a terrible place to grind if you're good enough to carry a bunch of useless monkeys called "your teammates". I like it because its not as stresful and if you win it gives decent RP.
Baws- i think its a crime that gaijin completely sleeps on the america 57mm (only two tanks have it in the entire game, and neither are american). Also, the americans loved to swap features; the T1 Heavy was tested with the 57, 75, 76, and even short 90, as was the M4 platform, and the M18 even had prototypes for the 57 and a 105 howitzer. Make gaijin add more prototypes/testing vehicles, every nation has PLENTY, such as the 10.5cm panzer Pz IV, KV-100 and the TOG tanks!
My third game in this tank I found some poor Chi-Ha that took cover behind a hill with bushes on it.. I took my T1E1 backwards over it it, bursting through the brush with the tanks ass end towards him. He seemed very surprised & missed his shot and I proceeded to take him out. Was dirty, But I got 'em good.

It's just a giant shitshow in the middle of the map with no tactics, and skipping the lower rewards it has nothing to do with how planes behave in realistic battles, and you will learn nothing impactful as to how to play them, or how to aim your guns without using the arcade aim helper. Basically by playing air arcade battles you regress yourself when it comes to plane flying skills.
You can play air assault which is the same story but not a terrible place to grind if you're good enough to carry a bunch of useless monkeys called "your teammates". I like it because its not as stresful and if you win it gives decent RP.

i think its a crime that gaijin completely sleeps on the america 57mm (only two tanks have it in the entire game, and neither are american).
Also, the americans loved to swap features; the T1 Heavy was tested with the 57, 75, 76, and even short 90, as was the M4 platform, and the M18 even had prototypes for the 57 and a 105 howitzer.
Make gaijin add more prototypes/testing vehicles, every nation has PLENTY, such as the 10.5cm panzer Pz IV, KV-100 and the TOG tanks!
My third game in this tank I found some poor Chi-Ha that took cover behind a hill with bushes on it..
I took my T1E1 backwards over it it, bursting through the brush with the tanks ass end towards him.
He seemed very surprised & missed his shot and I proceeded to take him out.
Was dirty, But I got 'em good.
I like this HT in World of Tanks Blitz. Most fun tank for seal clubbing new players.

The 37mm M51B1 shell can pen/kill early tigers, I've done it in an M22
126th try, Please play the T-80(light tank at 2.3 br) or the T-28e (also 2.3) They are located in the USSR tree. you have no videos on both tanks and they are fun. the T-28e is in the T-28 folder
