When you have a shield and high def torso you dont really need so much hp on machine gun arm. There is a cute setup for machine guns: Body-Prov PAW (15% def per level and nice hp and power) Weapon arm-Kyojun (mostly for skill) Shield arm-any melee Wanzer (shield arm only needs hp) Legs- Kasel (or any other melee Wanzer with high evade) Power Backpack
@me89tar High accuracy arms kills targets faster. I've tried using high HP.... its just not efficient due to low accuracy. Grenade units are rare, and when they do appear ... i usually wipe them out in 1 or 2 turns because the bullets never miss. If you're worried about enemy counter attacks. Use high evade legs and a body with high HP and DCM. For the MG arms i use shangdi... highest accuracy and HP for its arm type. Shielded arms usually Wude or Lenghe. All that = imba
@me89tar Everyone have diffirent style of playing. Granades could be a problem if there were many enemies using them. When you have everyone with high speed legs you can usually target fire most dangerous enemies before they can do anything or attack only once. Your method works too. If you have a lot of hp you can survive pretty much anything enemy throw at you.
@gregdrako well it makes sense, of course, but what if you're being attacked by grenades? or, for some reason, not having the ability to shield yourself, like the lack of hp or something, or simply when attacking- the enemy fires back and takes, let's say, almost half of your MG arm's hp? your technique is good, of course, but i usually use this technique- relying on high HP :D
@gregdrako yes, but VERY often there are powerful melee wanzers who can destroy your arms in a hit or two and even evade doesn't do much since the melee weapons have high acc. especially wude 3 who has 50+acc on his arms and i reccomend him because of this, also has high HP and the arms are light. then again, i know your tactic is good, but i'm just making a point that it isn't always the best and that i prefere this one(at least for two of my wanzers)

@Mairo94 well... yeah, but i've kinda always preferred HP over acc; sometimes it is worse choice but having 1600+ body hp talks for itself ;)

yes but burst/rifle wanzers have far lower HP than lenghe and that is why i chose him.
