High activation computer ruins ur linking rate greatly. And when you use piercing weapons the pilot damage1 inflicts 1/3 of pilot's HP in other words 3 consective links can kill the 1 unit in 1 act.

They did make a "Front Mission" game for PS4. It's called _'Left Alive'_ but, according to many, it wasn't very good. It looks like a first gen PS3 title. Not to mention, the gameplay was similar to _'Front Mission: Evolved'_ which many think is the worst game in the series (since they made it into a generic first person shooter, instead of a SRPG that FM games are mostly known for).
Nice to see that there is still a group of people caring so much about the game. Does anybody happen to know a tutorial on how to mod the game that are not in russian?
yeah i know this is old, but high learn rate computer with the drake arms works better honestly, as it will chain the attacks of every equipped on the learned skill
I always thought the skill was absurd since the protagonist, while portrayed as short-tempered, was supposed to be goody-two-shoes. Executing helpless enemy pilot ejected from their Wanzer...with shells meant for destroying said armored war machine, is apparently a-OK.

@somadman You can actually capture Qibing 0. It's the second most rare wanzer in FM 3 (Hoshun being the first). You can only capture it on Emma route, only 4 or 6 wanzer appear on 2 mission in the entire game.
This strategy is mad! When i capture Qibing 0 in that underwater tunnel, the only thing that i came up 20 years ago is Eject Punch and swarm that pilot

I just played this game back in 2020 and slightly altered the weapons appearance by using non obtainable weapons in game like the rifle rudolf of wulong use
True, but there is an option to use it in Alisa storyline, although a pretty limited one. If you finish Emma storyline with Kazuki and Ryogo having learned this skill, you could start Alisa storyline from that saved game. Since they are the only characters present in both storylines, you could use this skill via them, but no other character can learn it.
Dam, I used to eject pilot and then have a character hijack their wanzer (Don't worry they won't, in turn, take over your character's wanzer) until said pilot was KOed (All characters have plot armor including generics, they just get Ko'ed)
I had an enemy pilot hijack my abandoned wanzer exactly ONCE. It was in Emma's story, on board the giant Chinese base on tank treads, where you're inside their wanzer bay, their pilots start dismounted and are trying to get inside their wanzers.
Hi, did you do the mission in story mode or in some special mode of the simulator? I want to know if wanzers can only be captured in story mode or otherwise.
Actually, Kasel M2 is inferior to Zenislev regarding HP. Every upgraded Zenislev's wanzer part has higher HP than any upgraded Kasel part. On the other hand, the things Kasel is superior in: 1) 6 square movement, instead of Zenislev's 5, which is good, but would't say it is that big of an advantage. 2)Higher Def-C upgrade: 10% per level, instead of Zenislev's 5%. Not that impressive, but still good. 3)Higher Acc upgrade: whooping 52% at level 4, instead of Zenislev's meager 25% . This is the highest acc increase for all melee wanzers, which only Kasel M2 and Wude 3 have. Although Wude's arms have higher HP than Kasel's, so there's that.

Let's analyse your proposed 2 melee and 2 shotgun strategy, too: 1) you depend on the other wanzers to finish the job, while PilotDMG strategy can be achieved with a single wanzer. Moreover, the PilotDMG can also be chained and can kill the pilot in one move. Although this can happen, it is extremely rare. 2) Your setup of 2 melee and 2 shotgun is also only effective late in the game. The ejected pilot has insanely high evasion and does not soak up the bullets that easy. Without high acc upgrade, the pilot can withstand those two attacks most of the time. But it is not that bad of a strategy, since ejected pilot does not activate their upgrades while entering the wanzer back, so it is an easy prey. Also, it can always be ejected on the next round and killed.
@@me89tar i tried many combinations . got the game back in 99. For me the 2 melee guys with 3 eject punchs and a shield attack 3 and two gunners with shotguns of machines guns with aim body and rofup 3 is the quickest and easiest way to deal with enemies.
Because you can only put 2 of Pilot DMG3 in a computer, whilst you can put 6 of Pilot DMG1. The sheer number of these skills is exactly the reason it activates this often; for instance, if you would put 5 instead of 6 its activation rate would decrease significantly.
But the game won't be fun if you play this way, by the way still good for someone who want easy win. but for me who love intense battle and skil combo activate may skip this style.
it's because of the quanty. if you look at the beginning of the video you will see that i have six instances of the skill in my computer. it greatly increases activation rate.
+thenut55555 it doesn't depend on weapon level, or the damage it inflicts on wanzers. this depends solely on weapon class. some weapon classes do more damage with this skill, some less.

I should give this a try, though it does mean I have to use machinegun or shotgun only, I can't be sure if the skill triggers with a rifle or flamer if it misses This would be great to use on those Qibing in the Taipei tunnel, they only show up once and are very durable, especially in the body. Another use would be to kill the pilots in those hulking Kexi so you can take them for a spin, though they have zero evasion. Still, you don't get a computer with a medium increase in activation rate until the half way point, much less the high activation rate one near end game, so even if you managed to learn several copies early game it would still take a miracle for it to activate on a regular basis Also, none of this Zenislev nonsense, it's should be written as Zenith. Don't get into this poor western localization effort
The skill can be used with any of those weapons you mentioned, does not matter if it is melee or single/multiple shot. The only difference to note is that the damage inflicted on the pilot is dependent on weapon class, which is can be either 5(such as melee) or 7(such as machine gun) for Pilot DMG 1. Burst weapons work best, not only because of the higher damage, but because it takes at least one hit to inflict the damage on the pilot. If the acc is low, a single-shot weapon will likely miss, but burst weapons almost always fire at least one successful shot. And some corrections(in case you are interested): Although most of these big boss wanzers tend to have low or zero evasion(but this is mostly because they take up multiple squares, and your acc is greatly increased, which trumps their evasion rate), this is not true to Kexi models, which do have fairly high evasion. And you do get one more Qibing appearance in Misumi harbor mission, but there are two of them this time, and if I remember correctly, one is owned by Rosavia, a pilot which cannot be ejected or have HP damaged. Qibing is a good wanzer, but not for the thing you've mentioned. It falls into the same category as Zenislev, which has a more durable body. That being said, I personally prefer it over Zenislev, although it has less HP. That's because it has 15% Def-C upgrade per level, which is the highest available in the game. But you are somewhat right regarding Qibing having more HP than Zenislev in the Futai tunnel mission, where one of them has HP upgrade one level above what is available at the time. Lastly, yeah, many of the wanzer model names have been translated differently. Not just Zenislv, but also Whisk, Vinedrai, etc.
@@me89tar Knowledgeable people like you should make a playthrough with commentary going over all of this information only someone that has played so much can know
@@me89tarfor me Qibing is helpful with learning topple punch skill. I bring Marcus into it, learn topple punch, then take him into Zenislev to learn initiative + tackle then back to Grapple to learn dbl punch. So I arrange the skills in the following order: initiative, dbl punch, tackle, topple punch. Having a computer that does high usage of skills I get Marcus as a heavyweight boxing champion crushing anything on his way.
interesting take. this could work well with a computer with low activation, but high combo. personally, i always avoid initiative skills, since they do more harm than good most of the time. although in this case it could work, since you would strike first and then deal a lot of damage, plus ecsape the conuterattack. The only problem is that the skills won't activate so often. This can be solved by putting a computer which does not lower your activation rate so much(even normal computers do tend to chain a couple of skills), but in this case you also risk the scenario where initiative 1 activates plus some other skill that is not TopplePnch(or worse, only initiative 1 activates, without anything else), and you get more damage from the wanzer returnig fire.
Someone already asked this a long time ago, I will just paste my answer: Because you can only put 2 of Pilot DMG3 in a computer, whilst you can put 6 of Pilot DMG1. The sheer number of these skills is exactly the reason it activates this often; for instance, if you would put 5 instead of 6 its activation rate would decrease significantly.
@@me89tar I see, so the number of skills affect the activation, but what about comp levels ? You could just use one with higher activation percentage, right ?
Of course, you should use the one with the highest activation rate. The point is to activate it as often as possible, chaining is not that important in this scenario. On the other hand, you could use a normal computer. The skill should activate pretty often, but there is a chance that it will also activate more times per turn. You can also see that in the video (at 5:05), but I am not sure which computer I used. Perhaps I still have that save slot in my emulator. If you are interested, I can check it for you which was the computer in question :D
But beware, if you acquire all of these skills for your players and start a new game in which you already have them early in the game, you will be pretty disappointed. This build only works if you have all six of them. In older computers with 4 slots, this skill very rarely activates.

@@me89tar i tried many combinations . got the game back in 99. For me the 2 melee guys with 3 eject punchs and a shield attack 3 and two gunners with shotguns of machines guns with aim body and rofup 3 is the quickest and easiest way to deal with enemies.
Why not PILOT DMG3???
Because you can only put 2 of Pilot DMG3 in a computer, whilst you can put 6 of Pilot DMG1.
The sheer number of these skills is exactly the reason it activates this often; for instance, if you would put 5 instead of 6 its activation rate would decrease significantly.
Farming credit ☝️🤑
i wish could play this on iOS😢
goks!
But the game won't be fun if you play this way, by the way still good for someone who want easy win. but for me who love intense battle and skil combo activate may skip this style.
always pilot DMG1 how posible?
it's because of the quanty. if you look at the beginning of the video you will see that i have six instances of the skill in my computer. it greatly increases activation rate.
So it only because u use 6 skill pilot DMG1? Nice
Can u teach me sir.. And what's the name of your wanzers?
i'm better weapon than you but why my damage about 5 pts why?
+thenut55555 it doesn't depend on weapon level, or the damage it inflicts on wanzers. this depends solely on weapon class. some weapon classes do more damage with this skill, some less.
This and eject punch are two super broken skills. Too bad bosses are immune to these skills lol.
Hehe Boy
Sell All Wanzer
wanzer savers!
U will get bad grade
Nah i'm not impressed with the final result, i want a gameplay with all platinum medals from start to the end
wow this is broken as frk....
Wait till you see a wanzer with 6 PrvntLoss skills equipped, which makes them activate almost every time. Literally invincible wanzers. I believe there is a video on youtube called Front Mission 3 Prevent Loss, which shows that behaviour.
This game is too easy all in all. Anything works except all Melee. Topple shots, stacking ROF1 or Zoom1 for bursters. Spam missiles with Salvo. Stack Shield Attack 1 and Tackle 1 on Melee. I think i can get all platinum medals with any combination.
Seriously this game need remastered
I should give this a try, though it does mean I have to use machinegun or shotgun only, I can't be sure if the skill triggers with a rifle or flamer if it misses
This would be great to use on those Qibing in the Taipei tunnel, they only show up once and are very durable, especially in the body. Another use would be to kill the pilots in those hulking Kexi so you can take them for a spin, though they have zero evasion. Still, you don't get a computer with a medium increase in activation rate until the half way point, much less the high activation rate one near end game, so even if you managed to learn several copies early game it would still take a miracle for it to activate on a regular basis
Also, none of this Zenislev nonsense, it's should be written as Zenith.
And some corrections(in case you are interested):
Although most of these big boss wanzers tend to have low or zero evasion(but this is mostly because they take up multiple squares, and your acc is greatly increased, which trumps their evasion rate), this is not true to Kexi models, which do have fairly high evasion.
But get gold medal no platinum ahahha
Why not Pilot DMG3 ?
Someone already asked this a long time ago, I will just paste my answer:
Because you can only put 2 of Pilot DMG3 in a computer, whilst you can put 6 of Pilot DMG1.
The sheer number of these skills is exactly the reason it activates this often; for instance, if you would put 5 instead of 6 its activation rate would decrease significantly.
@@me89tar I'm gonna do this build for the New Plus game lmao
But beware, if you acquire all of these skills for your players and start a new game in which you already have them early in the game, you will be pretty disappointed. This build only works if you have all six of them. In older computers with 4 slots, this skill very rarely activates.
how do u pilot dmg?
+mark taddah you learn it from Drake M2C arm. pilot damage 1, that is
