@@AngryCosmonaut Yes, I heard the news a few days ago! I hope _'FM2'_ and _'FM3'_ come to PC/multiplatforms too. +aji ardiles i recorded it long time ago on my old laptop- the video was laggy and the sound was choppy, so i spent countless hours on optimizing the video so it woud run smooth(as far as it could; if you look carefully you can still see the imperfections), but, unfortunately, i couldn't do the same with sound, so i simply removed it.
@xheralt Hell, don't even bother carrying an item backpack. Carry a power backpack so you can have a rifle in the left hand, Missile in the left shoulder, and shield on the right hand. Rifles use a lot of the same skills as Missiles too, so that helps a lot.
@xheralt Salvo is not terrible, 1 enemy taken out every 2nd turn makes the battle easy, Body smash seems to be even better ofc unless you miss.. but don`t you get Whisk way earlier?
"Hit" skills had an interesting thing about them - they GUARANTEED that you'd hit the intended part (100% accuracy). Not sure if it was a bug, or actually a feature.
i remember playing this game for like a decade ago and my favorite skill is double shot I equipped with double shotgun lol it's overkill. it ruins the whole wanzer XD
@xheralt yes, but ROFUP III costs 3 spaces and Dbl Shot only 2. Also if you lose one shotgun/MG you still have another... it depents on playstyle i guess.
me: uses ROFUP I x6, shield + shotgun/msg = combos for days. use zoom Ix6 if your into mid-range battle, pilot damage 1x6 for easy wanzer steal. you dont need the extra weapon, if they cant even break your arm shield LOL
Best ways I found to get those to activate easily are: 'Revenge Body' - Equip low HP arms and legs, two melee weapons and the COMG10 computer (which raises the % rate of learning Battle Skills). Also, do not equip any other Batle Skills (you don't want them activating instead of the 'Revenge Body' skill) and remember not to equip any shoulder weapon as this is a pre-requisite for learning 'Revenge Body'. Go to Battle Simulator and turn off the Defend and Evade AP's on the wanzer equipped with the Hoshun Mk112 body (it's also much easier and faster if you only choose ONE character equipped with the Hoshun body of course, to participate in the battle, instead of 2 or more). Lowering the AP will weaken the wanzer and make it easier for high damage enemy units such as Lenghe 1's to destroy body parts. If possible, engage Lenghe 1's in a one-on-one melee battle but, skip the "Player Turn" attack as the enemy must attack FIRST. When it's the enemy's turn to attack, choose to counterattack. If any part is destroyed by the enemy wanzer (preferably in one hit), this might then trigger 'Revenge Body' skill (which you only learn once, since it takes up 4 slots). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'Hard Knocks' - Believe it or not, 'Hard Knocks' is really rather easy to learn. First, simply learn 6 'Prevent Loss' Battle Skills, then equip them all. Equip the Grezex legs (which teach 'Hard Knocks'), a High Activation/Low Combo computer and equip a low HP body and low HP arms. Remember to NOT equip/un-equip grenades in order to learn 'Hard Knocks'. Go to Battle Simulator and turn off your character's Defend and Evade AP's (this will make it easier and quicker for you to take damage and for the 'Prevent Loss' skills to activate often and keep each part from getting destroyed, while functioning at only 1 HP). Try to engage enemies that deal damage to all your body parts at once with either shotguns, machine guns or flame throwers. This will make things a lot quicker. Once your wanzer is severely damaged (most or all parts at 1 HP), 'Hard Knocks' will activate quite often when you attack or counterattack. You might get destroyed and have to repeat the process a few times but, you'll learn 'Hard Knocks' WAY quicker than you would any other way... Hope this helps...
@xheralt Fair enough. I can understand that but, I was only trying to share info on how to best get these 2 Battle Skills to activate. For completionists (like me), these are my methods to best acquiring these skills. I know there are better skills to equip but, that is the beauty of this game - players can customize it and play it as they see fit. I could play the game using the most damaging skills in the game but, for me (who has played this game regularly since getting my new disc copy in 2000 and using that same data to play it on PS3), that gets pretty boring. Depending on what goal I have in mind when playing _'FM3',_ I like to add variety to my game and I try to equip as many different Battle Skills as I can on my teams.
Ahhh, it's great video, it was my dream to research all of battle skills... I cannot watch it now, because it's spoiler maybe 😊😮😢 maybe little later. I did press "like" button anyway
this video is very well put together. the editing especially. it must have taken a long time to do, i know because i myself create stuff like this... now, about skills. personally, i prefer the following over the following... ROFUP I it only costs 1 slot in the comp. you can have 6 of them in the max comp. this will trigger 6 attacks in one turn, ultimately costing the enemy's life 8 out of 10 times. ROFUP I is better then ROFUP II and ROFUP III... yes the others do more damage, however they take up more slots in the comp. therefore you can only have 2 ROFUP III and 3 ROFUP II. and that only gives you a combo of 3 or 2 depending on what you equip. so i prefer 6 combo of ROFUP I's. this theory of mine hold true for Tackle I, Pilot Dmg I, Melee I, Shield Attack I, Double Punch I. In essence, these all can be comboed more than their higher end skills. The body smash skill is a must have due to it being so intense and in critical battles, it sure comes in handy. no matter how much hp the enemy has, body smash is sure to destroy them in one turn. woohoo!
I once equip kazuki with body smash, and destroy lukav in first shot. But it takes 6 slot it's so rarely activate. So I prefer to use eject punch with high activation com to eject enemy pilot and kill the pilot, so I can sell their wanzer. Another way is to equip all of my characters with pilot damage 1, with some kind of medium activation and combo. Using this I once kill all the enemy pilots without even destroying one of the wanzers. It's a bunch of rekson m4f and grapple. Sometimes if just wanted to kill them all, rofupi 1 is the best way. Equip 6 of this with medium combos com.. still pretty good activation rate, sometimes up to 5 or 6 rofupi straight will definitely a confirmed kill
@@luziaflone1951 Best use of 'Body Smash' (in my opinion) is to equip one person (preferably the team leader, which is the first person you select in your party) with a High Activation-Low Combo Com, the Heavy P Gun (for it's ultra long range) and a high accuracy arm (14% accuracy) and legs with high boost/mobility. Better yet, equip everyone with it (along with the same computer and high accuracy arms) and your chances of it activating at least once during the Player Turn go up quite a bit. Stay at a far distance and 'Body Smash' will activate a lot more often than normal. This is key when taking on some of the really tough enemy wanzers/military equip/weapons etc.. 'Body Smash' only uses 5 slots which leaves you one vacant slot which I normally use for 'Chaff', since missiles are the long range weapon you'll encounter most often from the enemy. With the High Activation Com, 'Chaff' will activate at a higher percentage and keep you safer from missiles which are highly damaging if you have Impact or Pierce armor.
The Double Punch/Double Shot/Double Assault skills are cool, but really they're not worth the drawbacks of not having a shield. For instance, you're better off just making Kazuki a straight up shotgun user instead.
@cmdrnGrief I'm not as familiar with FM4 even though I have it and have played it, but yeah. Melee hurts like hell, and missiles will just shred anybody without a shield that they target.
Until you go up against a heavy meele bot with I resistance. Shotguns skills aren't that great ethier, and with a even spread of damage, you really need something else to take a bite out of there hp. Seeing how fast the shotgun lvls up due to being the finishing blow, I end up wanting a flame thrower aswell to use up all my AP, Or wielding a sniper aswell in the hope of lopping off, a body part with in a turn.
@@sosomadman That's true, but ideally you would have Kazuki go after the Anti-P defense enemies, and Ryogo go after the Anti-I ones. As for Flamethrower users, giving Lan AP-60% is insanely good. It's also worth noting that some Pilots actually have higher natural skill activation rates than others. Like how Ryogo goes crazy with Machine Gun skills, and Miho goes off with Rifle skills (she's actually better with rifles than shotguns despite what she starts with, like how Jose is better with machine guns than rifles).
@@SpanishFly120 I think your more likely to activate an armour ability than a learnt skill, but you can't chain together armour abilities unless they're learnt. (Until you get the better COMP chips) I didn't know pilots were better at triggering certain abilities. Rifles & shotguns share alot of abilities; miho with "hit or miss" is a nerf on a shotgun while being great for snipers. Like how double assault with a flamer lets you do a 11/14AP flame attack at the cost of a 1/4AP punch. Spd runs ive seen relie heavily on shotguns. RoF up is best for shotguns, but hard to learn with a shotgun... or maybe royga is just good at learning rifle abilities as you say. Zoom is a good one for missles allowing you to chain the attacks without going full retard like the salvo attack sometimes does... The last salvo I triggered killed a pilot without a wanzer 🥲
They will become a sandbag to be a prey that other enemies will hit only. My strayegies is let them go and focus with another 3 that still survived. I love FM3 that when player's wanzers take out from battle field in the post match it's do nothing to medal score.
What I usually do with my Missile users is give them a Rifle in the left hand (Shield in the right) and a backpack for carrying weight. Missiles and Rifles share a lot of skills, and Missile arms have really solid accuracy too, so you get a lot of crossover that way.
Zerei o 1, 2, 3 e o 5. Amo a série, SquareSoft é tudo de bom. Um forte abraço!
to get Dbl ShotI I should use the same weapons BUT should I use the same two hands Prov PAW2 ? Or I can use only one Prov PAW2 hand which holds main weapon?
As long as you have one Prov PAW2 arm and the same two ranged or burst weapons (shotgun, rifle, machine gun, flame thrower) in both hands, you can learn it. You don't need 2 Prov PAW2 arms. Same goes for all other arm Battle Skills. You only need one arm, to learn the skill as long as you heed the rules to learn it (ranged, burst or melee weapons, same or different weapons, no shoulder weapon, etc.)
If a pilot uses a certain part like kyojo body that enables to use Zoom 1, does that mean it’s locked to the pilot even when he switches body and still can activate it?
Using a wanzer part only enables the skill to be learned. Once the skill is learned it can be stored in a pilot's computer, which means it can be used with any other wanzer and it will activate normally. On the other hand, if you equip Kyojun's body that does not necessarily mean that a Zoom I skill will be activated, maybe ever. The reason is that a skill can be learned as many times as it can be stored in a six-slot computer. One-slot skills can be learned six times, two slot skills- three times, three slot skills- two times, four and above- only once. If a pilot has already learned Zoom I six times, but has not put any of them in a current computer, it will never activate even if you have Kyojun's body equipped, since it has been learned the maximum number of times. tl;dr: YES
For over 2-years, I tried and failed to get the Grezex leg skill to unlock. Guess I was too good to ever get that fucked up for it to activate (not that I knew what it was - all the hint said was "No Grenades")
There's an easy way to activate 'Hrd Knocks'. Thing is, you're gonna have to wait to get a high activation computer and you must have all 6 'Prevent Loss' skills. Also, access to the Fukushima training sim. It also helps if you can build a practice wanzer out of spare parts that have low HP. Once you have that, equip all 6 'Prevent Loss' skills, enter the Fukishima training simulator and turn off all your defense and evade upgrades. Position your wanzer near the nearest ranged attack enemy (it will usually go a lot faster). Engage it and once highly damaged, the 'Prevent Loss' Skills should kick in and leave your HP at 1. When you attack, this will activate 'Hrd Knocks' at a much faster rate. Keep in mind, this won't work *_ALL_* the time and sometimes you will have to repeat the simulation cause you wind up getting destroyed but, it will help activate 'Hrd Knocks' a lot easier and faster.
Some of these skills are useless, like hit or miss and auto counter. btw are you using Hyper Skills Activation cheat code? I use that cheat and the game is way more fun when you can activate skills on every turn. Add max com capacity and put all kinds of battle skills and watch them activate at once is kinda dope.
No, this was done the old-fashioned way. It is fun to watch all of those skills activate, but it would be more fun if the enemy has the same options, otherwise it makes the game too easy.
+me89tar did u use comp10(the one that increase your chance to get skill) or not i spend so many times to learn revenge and i think auto skill is mostly useless cause u need to get stunned in order to activate the skill
yes anyone can equip shotguns.. i myself prefer shot guns over machine guns. why? because they do more consontrated attacks on all the wanzer's parts at the same time. couple that with ROFUP I x6 and the enemy will die.
Yeah. Especially with someone like Ryogo who just chains battle skills like you wouldn't believe. ROFUPII might be the best in general of the three though.
Okay, so we have : Stun Punch : Stuns enemy wanzer Eject Punch : Ejects enemy pilot from their wanzer Panic Shot : Confuses enemy pilot How about "Surrender Punch" ??? They should added it too 😂
You don't need to punch to make the enemy surrender. If a pilot's wanzer is damaged enough, all you have to do is surround the enemy wanzer, preferably from more than one side for one or more turns and it will usually surrender on it's own..
@@sosomadman Not necessarily. Sometimes just heading over to a heavily damaged wanzer who hasn't surrendered will cause it to give up. Yes, once several enemy units have been destroyed, the remaining ones will usually give up much quicker, though not always.
i Know Spetz Playz Channel Memes to Saying Captain America Shield Attack Fans Wanzer Battle Skill Playing as Well Also Combo Melee Battle Skill to Stun Punch and Then Eject Punch
Playing this again, very good game with the worst main character ever, man the guy is obnoxious and his sidekick is also a torture, but not like the main.
If I *_HAD_* to pick just ONE game to call my favorite of "all time"? This one would probably be it. *_FRONT MISSION 3 RULES..._*
yes now just imagine what it would look like in 2days graphics, every one that played this would buy it.

@@lsadin2457 haha i see where i spelled snot instead of not :/ stupid autocorrect 🙆
to get Dbl ShotI I should use the same weapons BUT should I use the same two hands Prov PAW2 ? Or I can use only one Prov PAW2 hand which holds main weapon?
As long as you have one Prov PAW2 arm and the same two ranged or burst weapons (shotgun, rifle, machine gun, flame thrower) in both hands, you can learn it. You don't need 2 Prov PAW2 arms.
Same goes for all other arm Battle Skills. You only need one arm, to learn the skill as long as you heed the rules to learn it (ranged, burst or melee weapons, same or different weapons, no shoulder weapon, etc.)
Double shot 1 you need two same range weapons double shit 2 you will need two different kind of range weapons i.e rifle and machine gun
Firing Squad and Topple Shot are most fun
ToppleShot is really underrated. It's so cheap too, and it stops you from getting countered.
And here i am wondering (dunno for how long) why cant i trigger marcus double punch 😅 u need 2 pierce for that 😂
18:42-21:40 what's name of that soundtrack???
+Al Brooks i can't remember the name of that specific song, but every song i used is listed in the description of the video, so look it up
Thanks
If a pilot has already learned Zoom I six times, but has not put any of them in a current computer, it will never activate even if you have Kyojun's body equipped, since it has been learned the maximum number of times.
tl;dr: YES
@@me89tar wow thank you so much for the details, it really helps 😬,
My fav skill is bodyaim and body smash
@@modsleix6 - if I ever blow the dust off my copy of FM3 again, I'll give that a go. Cheers.
i need a remake of 3 or at least something like it
how to use skill? plissssss
Skills comes randomly when the requirements meet
The most deadly skill its pilot eject & pilot just SMASH.
Pilot damage 1using the particle cannon!!thats the best
Yungsai 3 and Getty, a love that firing squad,,
Some of these skills are useless, like hit or miss and auto counter. btw are you using Hyper Skills Activation cheat code? I use that cheat and the game is way more fun when you can activate skills on every turn. Add max com capacity and put all kinds of battle skills and watch them activate at once is kinda dope.
No, this was done the old-fashioned way. It is fun to watch all of those skills activate, but it would be more fun if the enemy has the same options, otherwise it makes the game too easy.
+me89tar did u use comp10(the one that increase your chance to get skill) or not
i spend so many times to learn revenge
and i think auto skill is mostly useless cause u need to get stunned in order to activate the skill
does anybody know how auto counter skill works?
of course. some of the skills were exceptionally hard to learn, even with that computer.
so nostalgic, is there an emulator to play at PC?
I use ePSXe, both on PC and smartphone
Buenisimo campeon!!!
good job
Does aimbody work with shotgun?
yes
yes anyone can equip shotguns.. i myself prefer shot guns over machine guns. why? because they do more consontrated attacks on all the wanzer's parts at the same time. couple that with ROFUP I x6 and the enemy will die.
До сих пор играю
Игра ничуть не устарела,и до сих пор играется отлично 👍🏿
Try inside the pilot
Wanzer Kazuki Genie......
авоид 80 , наживка ракет , повреждение пилота , и катапультирование вражеского пилота
zoom i and rdf up i are the best combos
after all, were the skills released at random or was there a command in the control? I remember always pressing all the buttons to release kkkkk
Random
bro i remember i was smashing SQUARE button on my PS1 controller believing that helps Ryogo to ROFUP I more often haha
Shield att 3, best skill
3 rofup 1 is beter than 1 rofup 3! Chaff is mandatory to learn for all!
Yeah. Especially with someone like Ryogo who just chains battle skills like you wouldn't believe. ROFUPII might be the best in general of the three though.
Lenghe and hoshun
It's appropriate for the most op wanzer to have the deadliest skills xD
хороший контент
ты крут , что сделал это видео
мне музыка понравилась
Okay, so we have :
Stun Punch : Stuns enemy wanzer
Eject Punch : Ejects enemy pilot from their wanzer
Panic Shot : Confuses enemy pilot
How about "Surrender Punch" ??? They should added it too 😂
Dont forget pilot damage
You don't need to punch to make the enemy surrender. If a pilot's wanzer is damaged enough, all you have to do is surround the enemy wanzer, preferably from more than one side for one or more turns and it will usually surrender on it's own..
@@modsleix6 Yeah, I know it. I just wondered if we have such battle skill (instant surrender just with one attack) xD
@@modsleix6 thats after they surrender isnt it? If you destroy enought enemys in one turn they also give up when they "check morale"
@@sosomadman Not necessarily. Sometimes just heading over to a heavily damaged wanzer who hasn't surrendered will cause it to give up. Yes, once several enemy units have been destroyed, the remaining ones will usually give up much quicker, though not always.
19:26 bro got yeeted 🤣
Backup skills are best
А знаете что неприятно во всем этом - когда эти навыки есть у противника
U shoud stream ps1 game gameplays ^^
+Merzenarie Lv heh, too little time on my hands to do such things. hardly even found the time to do this one :D
Haha np man,Front Mission is a legend but sadly not many ppl know about it
i Know Spetz Playz Channel Memes to Saying Captain America Shield Attack Fans Wanzer Battle Skill Playing as Well
Also Combo Melee Battle Skill to Stun Punch and Then Eject Punch
Stoopid mechs fall down and can't get up that's reality of how it is with legs.
*ROFUP III* x 3
double assault II doesnt exist?
It does but it is no different that the regular the only difference is you need two different ranged weapon types like a machinegun and shotgun.
no such thing as double assault 2,only double shot 2
i loved bkupfire
HOsun = 1 hit KO set
rofup 3 ryogo king
Game was a lot of fun, but had some completely broken skills.
Hoshun Mk112 too OP pls nerf
gangbeating it's so unfair :)
lol, no it isn't... it is very good to call your friends and help kill an enemy in one turn instead of having to waste another turn on that enemy.
rubbish bgm
Playing this again, very good game with the worst main character ever, man the guy is obnoxious and his sidekick is also a torture, but not like the main.
