i was literally uncontrollably smiling watching you surf around the clouds. I used to always talk about this and imagine if i could walk above the clouds and just be there. This is beautiful .
Now you can do it with the right set of gear and feel really there instead of 'vr'

Why is this illegal, can you please explain (I'm not familiar with drones)
@@ckush928the maximum height you are allowed to fly is 120m from the ground with a uav. And there may be some extra restrictions in some areas, you can't fly near airports for example. And they sometimes lower the maximum flight height.
The exact rules may be different for each country but this is at least true for most countries in the eu
Edit:
As pointed out by ButterContest, you should also keep your drone in your visual line of sight and you should keep distance from clouds in the us. The last one might also count for more places in the world.

This is a great way to practice FPV without crashing into anything! Well, except for planes, which is why a spotter is needed. Definitely going to try this when I get one!

400ft maximum altitude. At least 500 feet vertically from clouds, at least 2,000 feet horizontally from clouds. All rules broken lol, but it sure is spectacular. This is what we would all do if we were suddenly gifted the ability to fly like Peter Pan or Superman.

Wow. That is beautiful. In USA, we are not allowed to do that because there might be a airliner hiding in the cloud ready to jump out and crash killing hundreds.
Yes, maybe you have to go to another country to be able to do something like this,The video creator said there was no flight activity in the area drone flies, Of course this is not same as the USA

Though its unlikely since airliners typically fly in class A airspace, much higher than low level clouds, unless they are coming in for landing, which is also restricted class B airspace.
@@phrog849 airliners is unlikely, GA pilots in Cessnas on the other hand, they would potentially die because of people like @MMMartynas
@@phrog849 smaller planes fly 400 ft or higher....micro drones are not regulated but anything classified above that (in Canada anyways) are regulated and must be flown below 400 ft. You can fly above 400 ft with authorization from local airspace (airport or aerodrome)

I love these kinds of videos but I'm always so worried how flight safety is taken into consideration at those altitudes. Are you watching a flight radar to descend if a passenger or smaller aircraft is nearby?
I live very far from the nearest airport. Passenger planes fly at an altitude of about 8-10 km in this place. Small privat planes here very rare guest max 2-4 planes fly close to me a year and they fly so close to the ground, not at such a height. The same I hear a drone all the time and I would hear it if someone flew by. I always use flight radar before flight. To meet something in air at the same point it is practically impossible. Also I have been given permission to go to unlimited altitude many times because I work with drones and the country military

It's most likely illegal where you are, mate.
In the UK at least it's no higher than 400 feet or 120m from point of take off. And you must be able to maintain visual contact with the drone at all times (or have a spotter do it for you). Laws have really tightened up over the years.
