I can smell your delicious Beef Shank Broth and Pot Pie from here.❤
So wise to include your little ones while you cook.
I always try to watch your videos with my grandkids, as I teach them what REAL healthy food looks like.
    NO food coloring.
    NO preservatives.
    NO nasty or unhealthy ingredients.
The Sorbet made us drool! Lol!
Hannah, Benjamin, and John made my day!
    So cute and precious.
Hannah looks so much like both you and Mr. Adam!

I am Impressed over the amount of broth you got! Wow! I may need to find that roaster.
You are right, you can't have "too much" broth. It's so delicious and nutritious. We recently got a sickness in our house and I know bone broth is what helped us recover quickly.

    • @DJ-nh6wq

Start checking the resale shops/sites. Those roasters got crazy expensive! I have 1 from years and years ago and it’s starting to not heat like it used too. So I’m looking into a new one and about fainted at the prices on Amazon.

I absolutely loved the boys clowning around for the camera, so much so, that it had you giggling with the voice over. Oh it brings me back 30+ years to my kitchen table full of toddlers. Thank you for sharing your blessings with us. Benjamin hugging on Hannah is so precious. I too got excited with warm weather and fertilized and pruned fruit trees and bushes, as well as fed my perennial bulbs. The rain on the following day was a gift for my labor. Now we have 2-3 inches of fresh lake effect snow this morning. It's just more water for my fruits and flowers. I will sow peas on St.Patricks day, and hope for an early crop before the heat arrives. 😊

I used your fabulous idea of straining through a dedicated sink strainer, right as we add the broth to the jars. I missed where it nestles down into the funnel. Still worked well, but fixing that next batch. Our Mexican markets sell gorgeous beef shanks. I stock up on them when they are on sale for beautiful broth. I don't waste the meat. It makes great enchiladas, burritos or plain old vegetable beef soup, pot pie, cottage pie, meat sandwiches, empañadas-umm. I need to send Forest Gump home. His coaching has me going.

We've been having the same weather in eastern Kentucky. I planted potatoes, onions, carrots, peas, and lettuce in my beds. I also put brassicas in jugs for mini green houses and they are coming up. I planted some tomato, peppers, and a few other things indoors for starts. I've been canning quite a bit because we are getting half a beef this week so I had to clean out the freezer. I plan to start some fruit trees and berries this year. Part of my canning was chicken bone broth. It don't have to be pretty as long as it tastes good. I have a 24yo, 22yo, 3yo, 2yo twins, and a almost 1yo.

Taiwanese beef noodle soup uses the shank. I think you probably have most the ingredients to make it if you are feeling like trying a new recipe. If you have any orange or tangerines left, save and dry the skins as that is a weird ingredient that is outside the norm for American pantries. It's a great slow cooker soup. I use shirataki noodles in place of the wheat but any noodle will do. Or no noodles is good as well. It's really tasty.

Your skills in planning ahead, organizing and preparation is spectacular. I am past all of that now but how you put it all together is a blessing you share with those who need it!
Spring is trying so hard to settle in but that big cold brother keeps sliding back. I am starting my herb seedlings, tomatoes, parsley and cilantro this coming week. Small container gardening but Big flavors.
