Yeah honestly interest and the economy part of the game is so important and.. they just.. make you find out maybe on accident (ie you happen to have enough money and see the extra cash roll in)
An extra tip for when you have face down cards, the way the face down cards are sorted is still the same regardless of if you can see them. This means a lot of the time you can figure out what the card is if you have other face up cards! For example, if you sort by suit and the face down card has a card with hearts on either side of it, this means the face down card must also be a heart. It can be really useful for if you need to make a flush and don't want to waste discards.
Even if they're all face down, you can still get some information to make better guesses. For example, (this is especially good on the Checkered Deck) when you sort by Suit, cards are still sorted by Rank inside of their respective Suits. So if you select any of the right most cards when sorted by Rank, then sort by Suit, and it suddenly jumps over to the left, you can accurately tell where in your Hand one suit ends and begins, since a card that was previously sorted as a low number is now being sorted past half of your cards. On Checkered Deck specifically, this is great because you can almost always tell which cards to select to get a Flush.
I find it interesting you didn’t include that planets, tarots, and spectrals can’t appear multiple times (unless showmen). You can buy or keep tarots and planets you don’t want in your consumable so that it doesn’t appear in booster packs and in the shop, tarots and planets already in the shop doesn’t appear in booster packs too.
Another hidden rule: Jokers and consumables can only be in one spot at a time. That means that if you buy Death in the shop and hold it in your inventory then open a tarot pack it's guaeanteed to not have a Death card here. This means you always want to buy the Death card in the shop after opening the packs in the shop to not skip on a potential death and that, if you already have max interest you might wanna hold on to junk tarots that The Emperor give you in order to make good tarots more likely to appear in your next packs
If you play against The Pillar Blind(debuffs cards played previously this Ante), you can use tarot cards to fix your debuffed cards. Because technically you haven't played this card with this new enhancement
wrong. a debuffed card will not be exempted from the boss with enhancements. the only tarot card that can affect it is death, converting said card into a non-debuffed one
It's important to notice that cards are scored left to right and you can change their order. If, for example you have a flush with a glass card (2x mult) and a mult card (+4 mult), you want the glass card to be on the right to get the maximum score
In misprint’s description, it will occasionally flicker to the next card you will draw. This even works in the collections menu Eg 6H means the next card you draw will be the 6 of hearts
@@DragN_H3art It's considered both spectral and planet, meaning you can find it in both packs (though it's quite rare in planet packs). Same goes for The Soul, it's considered both spectral and tarot card.

Touched on in the "hidden hands" rule: there are prereqs for certain items appearing. Vouchers - you can only see the second level of a voucher after acquiring the first level. Most famously, Antimatter is only able to appear after purchasing Blank. Also, amusingly, if you manage to buy Heiroglyph on Ante 1, you will see Ante 0 with a Base Blind of like 80 chips. On that note, Ante -1 is not possible. You could get enough starting money to buy the voucher (start with yellow deck and win in 1 hand), but you would need to have Voucher Tag populate the Petroglyph heiroglyph, which could only happen after Heiroglyph is purchased. Meaning you'd have to play Small blind to buy Heiroglyph and then skip Big blind to have Petroglyph in the store, but then you're forced to face Boss blind and advance to Ante 1. You would get to replay Ante 0 in this scenario, but you could never get to Ante -1 naturally. Blinds - "super boss" blinds will only appear on Ante 8. Other rules apply but I can't confirm them, I'm pretty sure I haven't seen The Needle (play only 1 hand) or The Arm (played hand goes down 1 level) on Ante 1. Jokers - a lot of jokers have prereqs to appear, most famously Cavendish can only appear after Gros Michel expires (note, specifically expires via the 1 in 4 chance, not just being sold or destroyed), and the "legendary" rarity jokers can only be obtained via the Soul consumable (which, itself, I swear is behind another set of restrictions, one of which being the Omen Globe voucher). Other restrictions surely apply but there would be too many to list in a single video. Ones I'm pretty sure on are Drivers License only appears when you have 8 enhanced cards, Steel Joker when you have at least one Steel, and Showman doubles its chances to appear after you purchase a Showman (joking, but I swear I only ever see duplicate Showman)
The "Soul" spectral card isn't locked behind anything actually, and it can appear in either Arcana or Spectral packs with no vouchers active, but the odds of it happening are very low (0.3% for either). Same goes for the Black Hole card which can appear in both Planet and Spectral packs with a low chance.
drivers license can definitely appear regardless of deck, ive gotten it plenty of times without a single enhanced card any of the enhancement jokers (steel, glass, stone, lucky cat) will only show up after one (according to the wiki, at least) none of the other jokers have any prerequisites, to my knowledge
Today I learned. It honestly makes sense that most jokers dont have prereqs, just for the sake of maintaining genuine chance, i guess i was just blessed/cursed with my luck
My hidden rule is that the game only saves after a hand is finished scoring. If you accidentally play the wrong poker hand, you can pause and go to the main menu to undo the action. This is also helpful for tarots. Using tarot cards doesn't save the game, so if you midclick, you can undo using a tarot until you play a hand.
I've seen this hint before, but I play at max speed and it often doesn't give me enough time to actually SEE the card when it flips. So you may have to adjust your game speed down when dealing with flipped cards.
if you have jokers that change what cards are considered being, for example smear, bosses that disable a suit, will also disable the other suit. if you have pariedolia, bosses affecting face cards will consider your entire deck face cards.
I learned the hard way about The Plant when I happened to get lucky to have Pareidolia, Scary Face, Business Card, and Smiley Face... and now I am scared to commit to anything.. because I swear the game *knows* what you're doing and just summons the perfect counter in the next ante or two..
Balatro is easier if you understand one thing. You need a good combination of jokers that gives you chips - around 100 is a good option and the ones that adds multipliers. I played for around 15h without knowing those fundaments and even were selling the ones that gave me 100 chips per play and going only for multipliers one. I thought it maybe required only multipliers jokers but no. You need a good foundtation either from joker or planet cards that gives you fixed points just by playing such figures like double pairs. Also remember that money does matter early game and getting jokers to earn money is very good! :)
Very nice video! The audio is good and the visuals are nice, I suggest maybe some background music, even the balatro one would be cool, just to keep the viewer a bit more attached. Other than that it was a nice watch, so thank you!
You can rearrange your jokers at any point, and they are activated from left to right. this was a game-changer for me. If you have an X-mult joker, you would want it to be the last one to be activated after the +mult. also, you can figure out the face-down cards by switching between rank and suit.
THANK YOU! You are the first person to actually explain Tarot cards correctly. I just started (yeah late to the party) and i baught the cards but then they were always greyed out. Now I know I have to pair certain ones with an Arcana pack. That was driving me crazy....
Many jokers that get stronger the more of a specific type of enhancement you have, (Like Glass Joker and Steel Joker) Cannot appear until you have one or two of the type of enhancement. So if you are doing fine on mult, and don't wanna see those jokers, it could be worth not having their enhancements so you can have a better chance of finding a chip joker. Not a huge chance but I felt it's worth noting.
I just know that hand size will affect random cards when open arcane packs too yesterday.i just found when i use stuntman joker that -2 hand size and open arcana pack.its turn out to be 6 card on the pool which is decreasing probably of when i want to copying my most powerful playing cards by death
Always put Jokers that retrigger cards at the back of your lineup. Jokers, played cards, and enhanced cards that buff your score or eco if the card is in your hand, all trigger from left to right. Jokers that buff themselves and your score always trigger after the card is scored (and the Red Seal takes effect, on cards that have it), so putting retrigger Jokers at the front or in a higher-priority spot will only retrigger the Jokers that come before it. For example, if you play a 6 of Hearts Mult Card in a Two Pair, and you have the Joker that buffs your Mult for Hearts you play, as well as either Dusk or Hanging Chad in your lineup, how that hand is scored is different depending on the order of your Jokers. If the retrigger Joker is in the first position, it will only retrigger that card. But, if you put that Joker at the back, it will not only retrigger the card(s) being played, it will also retrigger the Jokers that trigger before it! So you could be looking at a score that are multiple percentage points higher than the ante requirement, maybe even multiple TIMES higher, from JUST ONE HAND!
You can get intel on face-down cards by using the sort fuctions. The sort will still work, and depending on what cards are visible, you may be able to sus out details of the face-down cards by context, for example what cards are face cards, what cards are the same suit, or even ranks if you have duplicates of that rank in your hand.
I spent a good amount not knowing that you can change the order of your cards other than rank and/ or suit (even though it is written in the select 2 cards, the left one becomes the right one)

I liked it, but I won’t subscribe or give a thumbs up. While the content itself was enjoyable, I find the constant reminders to like, subscribe, and engage to be off-putting. It feels like every creator is repeating the same script, and over time, it starts to feel less like an invitation and more like an obligation. I understand the need for creators to grow and gain visibility, but the repetitive nature of these requests detracts from the overall experience. It would be refreshing to see content that lets its quality speak for itself without relying on these repeated calls to action.
All of this things are pretty easy to know, given that you play even a little bit of the game. Very mediocre video in my opinion, the title feels like clickbait.

Contains 2 pairs doesn't include 4 of a kind, even though it's 2 pairs of the same number.
You really gave a tip on permanent lol…
The game also has a hidden bowling mode.
Good ass video!!! Hell yea I didn’t know a majority of those
Great vid, but using Hand as a "free" Discard technically cost you 1$
What is an ante?!
Didn't see any hidden rules in this video everything but the 3 hidden hands and those are not not rules
These aren't hidden rules these are "10 things you'll notice after 5 minutes of game time"
Some of them. I didn't know extra Planet cards are added to the pool after playing the hands at least once.
another hidden rule: learn to read
one thing i discovered which sucked is that if you 'rank up' an ace, it wraps back around to 2. Do not recommend.
It's actually not that bad. Wee Joker scales with played 2s, and Hack retriggers played 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s.
I wonder if there is a way to rank down a 2 to an Ace.
When the bala is tro
