This was just the impetus I needed to get the Crave back off the shelf and explore it more. Thanks for sharing the ideas in such an easy-to-follow way.
Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate the seq and arp functionality of the Crave. The detailed instructions help a semi-modular newbie (such as me).
I love it! Thank you for sharing, I need to try this out sometime. I did something similar on the Crave (random unrepeated melodies within a scale), but using a different approach. I can't remember how I did it though XD
@@gil_ramos I think it was something with the LFO patched to the reset so it would reset at a different point in the sequence each time, but it didn't sound like it was repeating the pattern, so I think there was more going on but I honestly don't remember.
Great job m8 !!! Pls could u show more tricks/tips on the crave !! Or even on the volca drum (in my opinion are reallly interesting gears to dive into )
Thank you for your kind words. What I know is just a few things, but I put in my discoveries all my effort in simple and step-by-step explanation. Glad you can understand my point on this video!
Just to be a bit pedantic, the notes in C dorian are C D Eb F G A and Bb - these are the enharmonic equivalents of what you wrote, so it makes the same sound, but it's much easier to understand if you only use each letter name once. A C dorian scale is the same as a Bb major scale starting on the second degree.
Yeah, I went to school too. Nobody else gives a shit about enharmonics and the ‘difference’ between Bb and A#. And since you used the word ‘pedantic’, it’s an obnoxious trait that gets on people’s nerves.
@@longfadehe seems honest AND knowledgeable, so I can overlook “pedantic”……. I hope you have Contentment and Inspiration and Good Health in all your years coming…💛 and patience, you need patience within you💛🙏
Sounds real nice and lots of possibilities with the crave. Could it be used as a midi controller for older synths? I like it and will have to purchase one of these soon after Christmas. I'll have to save this vid to be able to see it again for your well explained tutorial. Well done and thank you.
then use the hidden clock-synced LFO in sample&hold mode to drive the VR mix knob and let it meander on its own!
Wow now that’s a great set of Crave tips!!! Thank you!
I intend to other videos. The more I discover, the more I will share!

Thank you for your feedback. Please also share your achievements if you intend to Simon.
I learned something new today!
And for that I am trully grateful
Absolutely amazing, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching. Hope it's useful to you ☺️

Thank you for taking the time to see my content!
Very useful and inspiring! Cheers!
it‘s a great sequence and I could listen to it all night long.
We can spend so much time with this technique without being boring. I will try it on my next song / jam video!
Excellent. The crave is shuch a powerful synth for what it costs. I love my crave, very underrated.
Couldn't agree more!
Really cool I just got one for Xmas
Merry Xmas with your orange device!
This is awesome, I have a crave and never thought of using it this way, I was thinking of buying a Spice to do this.
I will have do dig deeper into this guy now. I´ll document my journey with you people.
Wow !! Brilliant !
Thank you! Cheers!
Fuck dude thats pretty cool ! i love the general patching concept here and would love to try this kind of thing in VCV, very nice original demo
Thank you for tacking the time to see this and process the information to adapt for your ideas!
Very cool ideas! I'm going to try patching with the Behringer Chaos to randomize that play/stop.
That´s great. If you will, please give me feedback on that when you try and if you succeed.

This is amazing, so creative. Thank you 🙏
Give it a shot on this idea if you have a Crave!
@ - I haven’t got a Crave, but I do love ‘random’ controlled sequencing. So I may have to buy one!
Great, thanks!
You're welcome Manu! Cheers

I will try 😃 sub and stay tuned for more videos Jazzman. Hope you make use of this technique
excellent - this is very useful. thank you for sharing
This is very useful for me. Give it a try. Experiment with other scales and modes. Try some rests on the composition. Cheers
@@gil_ramos i definitely will. i am wondering whether it would be best to modulate the vc mix pendulum with an external modulator like PAMs or OCHD?
@@particle-dots You should try yes, but I think you lose control over your mental flow. This way you can compose in a very organic way... I think
Any idea how to control/automate VC Mix?
Brilliant!!!
Thank you for your feedback. Hope we can learn together from each other
