  • Many of the Lunar Hexes in Hades II got huge buffs in the recent Patch 3, Lunar Ray having one of the most drastic changes. I took this video as a chance to highlight the power of this ability in the game, as well as mention the interesting way the developers changed the Path of Stars to balance the massive buffs that many of the Hexes got in the Patch.

the kamehameha hex rocks. You can even control the directions while time stopped Chronos, and if you have the upgrade that makes it fire three beans instead of one it absolutely melts the enemies and bosses hp at close range.

As someone who cleared 32 heat with every weapon, I'll say that Hades 2's hexes are pretty disapointing. You either have something that you didn't level that much that is quite underwhelming (or pretty much useless), or you invest a lot to get something "okay". The problem is, investing in them means that you didn't put as much in the rest of your build, which 95% of the time, is the wrong play.
I much prefered Hades 1's calls. They at least synergised quite a lot with the rest of your build, so it didn't feel like they were competing with something else.

I think the devs have realized that it's an issue lol, improving Selene's keepsake and constantly buffing the hexes have shown that. They're still at the point in development that they could change the entire system, so I'm sure it'll find its place
