Give this guy a million likes it's time we see VFX done in Davinci Resolve all we see on RUclips when it comes to Davinci Resolve tutorials is how to create cinematic titles
Pirates of Confusion RUclips are stuck exactly on VFX/post if you're interested. Unfortunately Resolve isn't just stable enough to use it in real vfx/motion graphics/post projects. In VFX you need perfect control on keyframes but timeline in Fusion is completely useless and inconsistent at this moment. Titles are the cap for such poor quality and slow evolving software. :) Seems like Cavalry might hijack mo-graph while Natron will take care of post/comp while Blackmagic cannot fix their amatory critical bugs for month. Need serious VFX ? Go Maya/houdini/nuke instead.
It's simple as in every beginners tutorial. Because the project by itself is invented to present you this feature. In real projects there would be never such perfect incoming footage nor point of view/movements. It will become harder and harder until you hit the bottleneck of Resolve and wouldn't be enable to "resolve" the problem until you switch to something more powerful and high-end. i.e. you'd might seen several wonderful Blender show-offs, demos and tutorials but there are no movies/cartoons/ads made in Blender (for now) because it's impossible to use it in even mid-range real projects because of horrible UX and weird approaches. It's a nice toy but there's a reason why $300 Resolve is for titles only and $8000 Nuke is for Hollywood. :)
Watching your older videos in reverse after discovering your channel. This is unreal. I NEVER would have figured this out and I am so grateful. You are the man!!!!! Little details you add make a huge difference as well like: "click this (which you can find in the inspector)". Other youtubers just say open this or that and they don't explain in detail where things located. To the point with detail but not too much detail. You are THE BEST!!
What do you guys think about this effect!? BTW I answered your question about how I did that ring around my watch in my "watch teleport tutorial." If you havent seen it check it out! ruclips.net/video/dGhqmaN6ccE/видео.html
OMG! I never realised the Planar could be used to track x, y and z axis! Well that’s opened up a whole new world of exploring! Many thanks Jamie, another great tutorial.
Jamie, a fantastic tut! This is something I was looking to incorporate in my tech review video regarding phones and finally I will be able to try it out! Much thanks, very respect, such wow.
Juda zo'r gap yo'q juda foydali bo'lyapti. Biz O'zbekistondan turib o'rganyapmiz. Qoyil. Very good, good job bro. It is very useful for us. We are watching and learning your lessons from Uzbekistan. Thank you , well done ☆》
Your sound voice quality on video is excellent, people don;t always appreciate or realise how important loudness and clarity of voice is in video. That is until they are told.
Right!? Hey thank you for noticing btw.. You're the FIRST person to mention it. I've seem some amazing films/tutorials but then lacks in the audio department which really takes it down a notch for me. I actually got a comment the other day saying that my videos are too loud. (I think its because most people are mixing their audio incorrectly hhaha)
Jamie Fenn Yes your voice was a bit loud when compared with average volume, no problem I just turned volume down a bit. The important thing your voice was loud, sounded natural and crystal clear . Thank you for posting this very interesting tutorial 👍🏻
Man it is definitely a solid basis! Thank you so much for putting in the time for this. The video of it at :20 - I feel like there's something weird with the frame rate, like it's choppy. I'm gonna try this and ad a blur to it - it need some beauty passes (blur, glow, etc.), but it's awesome man!
Amazing tutorial thank you! 2 questions though: 1. How do I stop the rays from being there before and after the shake? 2. Can I move some of those HUD effects in front of the phone (in 3d space) If so, how?
I did a sky replacement tutorial. It’s very rare you try to change the background without a green screen. Usually you shoot the shot with that intended so you would only use a green screen.
Could you make a free pack of free HUD's for Davinci Resolve, i cant find any free ones on the internet. (ur the only one i watch tutorials from, keep up the awesome job)
Jamie Fenn yeah, super busy, but still loving all the videos. Watching your stuff always makes me want to jump on DaVinci/Fusion and put out more tutorials. Thanks for being awesome!
You're channel is amazing, thank you for this tutorials a life saver, I just picked up Davinci Resolve16 a bit more than a week ago and wow this is just what I was looking for. So many hidden cool functions in Davinci have to say I got a bit overwhelmed first, but in a good way like that eureka moment overwhelmed. Probably end up buying Fusion studio eventually, so I did pick up the most basic pretty fast as I been doing video and photography for a long time but this I need to get more info on. So surf the net for tutorials and I stumble on your video, the hologram mobile and this was spot on the function I was locking for at the time. Then a couple days later I was done with my editing but your hologram video made quiet a impression on me, so I went back to your channel and been stuck here all day ha ha....! Love it, thank you once again for sharing and making this videos, I'm now a SUB and l look forward to see what you'll post next. ;)
Pixel heyyy pixel! Thanks for the sub and welcome to the channel. Let me know what you think about my playlists. I have some epic videos I think you’ll love!
thanks alot jamie ... this is actually helping me alot. please can you make a harry potter trasportation effects tutourial and other effects in that film .
could you teach us how to make those little elements but custom? so say we want to use it as a subscriber counter, or a timer or something like that? thanks! :)
I am going to try this effect. It's time for me to take my video FX to the next level. If I get stuck I hope you don't mind me asking you questions. I have never done.

Hi Jamie. Great nice video and very useful! Will you post anything on techniques for changing the background without using the green screen?
I did a sky replacement tutorial. It’s very rare you try to change the background without a green screen. Usually you shoot the shot with that intended so you would only use a green screen.
