How in the world did FIRE Kirby not end up on FIERYjoker's list? Not even as an honorable mention?! from it being an OG ability, to setting yourself on fire in superstar, to incorporating burning dash into it to Forgotten land's upgrades Fire Kirby is iconic.
I was expecting it to be number 1. Especially with how broken Forgotten Land's Dragon Fire is. That ability makes mincemeat out of the time limit and no damage challenges for the bosses.
I love Toy Hammer in Forgotten Land, if you combine it with the Attack Boost, you can literally cheese the arena by one-shotting many of the enemies. It is THAT broken Kirby, Mario, and Luigi all know how to make a hammer the most dangerous weapon in the universe
I just love its aesthetic. The helmet is adorable and the squeaky toy noises are very charming while still having some heft to them. I saw no reason to upgrade it further beyond getting them for 100% and then immediately going back.
My headcanon (which might be true, I don’t follow Kirby lore that deeply) is that the reason water was replaced with poison in planet robobot is because Haltman polluted pop star, causing a lot of the water enemies to become poisonous
3:50 “PORT”? Return to Dreamland Deluxe is a full-blown remake. It gives the visuals a huge glow up and adds a whole bunch of new content. A port is when you just transfer a title in its exact form from one console to another, with little to no updated content or presentation.
Kirby and the forgotten lands has some of my favorite forms. The final sword form is so op. Tornado. Gun. Triple deluxe archer. Clown. Honestly the entire series asleep sleep is very good in a proper game since they all have their uses somewhere. Oh and I just adore spaceship Kirby.
19:26 you missed a key detail. Storm tornado also turns all of the stars bosses drop for base kirby to use into PROJECTILES! TURNING ENEMIES AND THOSE STARS INTO PROJECTILES THAT BLINE STRAIGHT FOR AN ENEMY IS SO USEFUL, IT GIVES TORNADO THE OPTION TO DISENGAGE WITHOUT MISSING OUT ON DAMAGE BY IT'S TAIL END, AND RARELY DO WE GET THAT OPTION OUTSIDE BASE KIRBY TO USE THOSE STARS, AND YET NOBODY SEEMS TO NOTICE THE HOMING MISSILES STORM TORNADO HAS OVER THE OTGER FORMS OF TORNADO IN FORGOTTEN LAND!

@@smh4907Oh yeah, The Whip! Makes you wonder what the current Ninjago series is up to... A second season of Dragons Rising must have some kind of connection, even if voice actors change...
Okay right off the bat, gotta put a defense in for Copy. Its NOT meant to be an ability for Kirby himself; its strictly for T.A.C. for the helper system of Super Star. If anything I would go so far as to say Kirby being able to use it at all is a pretty sizable negative against it, yet even that negative has a valid niche use in the only game it appears in, Super Star, being that getting it in Milky Way Wishes and using it to copy enemy abilities before you have access to all of them throughout the game is very reliable. But Copy does not exist for Kirby; its designed ENTIRELY around the Helper instead.
Poison is my favorite copy ability. First of all, it has a surprisingly large amount of unique puzzles involving using wind to blow the clouds and the downwards spit that no other single copy ability can do. Second, it's STUPID STRONG for bosses. Like, as strong as fighter and HAMMER strong. Each of the 3 puddles and 2 clouds you can have active at once do their own instances of damage, so boss fights require you to think ahead and know where a boss is going to be instead of just where they currently are so you can place your clouds and puddles in the most ideal spots to keep your onslaught going. No other copy ability has ever required such levels of forethought and planning; which is why I love it. It rewards the player for understanding bosses more than any other ability in the franchise.
Beetle is an underrated but favorite ability of mine, which also debuted in Triple Deluxe like Archer. Being that it not only lets Kirby fly cause beetle wings, but gives him amazing vertical and horizontal offensive capabilities that lets him demolish anything in front of, above or below him with his powerful horn. It’s a bit of a one-trick pony, but it was pretty much my go-to ability in Triple Deluxe, and I was more than glad to see it come back in Star Allies.
POYO! Aside from the nightmare endgame with the majority of final bosses the Kirby franchise is well known for its unique copy abilities. Interesting how you get them from literally eating your enemies. (Kirby must have a strong stomach.)

Very good picks there, especially with Water and Poison ranked very high while they’re in a tie. Though I will say that Beetle is also an incredibly fun ability that deserve an honorable mention.
Of course everyone makes the evangeleon and gundam references with the robot outfit, but I appreciate Go! Go! Steel Titan! playing in the background. I just love that cheesy song XD.
That was epic! My favorite Kirby abilities are fire, UFO, Smash, yo-yo and sword. Speaking of the fire ability, am I the only one who shocked that Josh, who's favorite element is fire (something I can relate to) and often calls himself The Fiery Joker on a regular basis, didn't include the fire ability on this list
I love "Revenge of the King" because Dedede pulls a Meta Knight and tossed Kirby his old mallet while he busts out his new rocket hammer. Defeating him with his old tool never gets old
My top abilities that I will always love using that include a few I wish they would bring back are: animal, beetle, bubble, circus, esp, leaf magic, mirror, poison, tornado, water, wing and yoyo!
Like with the games, bosses, and songs, there are too many great Copy Abilities to really solidify a Top 15, so here's 15 Copy Abilities that I just really like in no particular order (besides number 1): Suplex: You grab enemies and you chuck them in 8 different ways. Far from the only ability with a Command Grab and throws, but its the one with the most variety after the grab Mic: Not quite as iconic or cool as Crash, but the 3 attacks and different areas of effect from Return to Dream Land onward gives it a teensy bit more depth. Plus, the Robobot Armor has a Mic Mode with a more complex move set. Parasol: Probably the single most underrated ability imo. It may seem kinda useless and clumsy with its auto slow fall, but do not be mistaken. The Parasol is great at blocking enemy attacks especially since you can put it in 3 different spots, one spot happening naturally without any input from the player. When used right, this ability's aerial dash attack and down air attack allow for some of the fastest movement in the series and it's no slouch for damage either with it's down attack absolutely demolishing boss health bars and the ability also having a Command Grab with its Circus Throw. And I once again point to the Robobot Armor to mention its Parasol Mode, getting rid of the one real trade-off when compared to Kirby's base move set, being it's inability to fly beyond it's double jump and short hover. Laser: It's simple, not appearing in any game that have more complex move sets, but it's projectile bouncing off slants gave it some really fun puzzle utility. Hammer: It's just strong. That's it. Not much to say here that wasn't said in the video. Archer: I... don't like the fully invincible crouch cuz it's just unfair to use. That being said, the attacks are strong enough that I really like using it anyway. Beetle: An ability that kinda feels like a strange mix of Sword, Wing, and Suplex (spoiler alert, the 2 I haven't already mentioned will appear later). It's improved flight, horn slashes, and dash grabs just makes it really fun to use. Spear: Despite this ability being used by Bandana Dee just as much, if not more than Kirby despite Bandee appearing way after the Pink Puff, it's still really fun to use with a good array of moves and decent range. Especially with Bandee's faster throwing speed and Ground Thrust. Poison: While I still really like Water, Poison's emphasis on damage over time and lingering attacks make it more fun to me. Mecha: Not really much to say that wasn't said in the video but I still really like this ability. Spark: I already really liked the main attack in Adventure and adding Plasma's charge gimmick onto it just made it even better. Unfortunately it does make Plasma itself feel a little underwhelming to me now because its uncharged attack just doesn't feel nearly as helpful. Wheel: Kirby go fast. It's as simple as that. Wing: Kirby go fast, but in the air this time. There are other abilities that improve Kirby's air mobility like Beetle, Jet, Mech, etc, but all the others mostly improve his vertical air speed, where Wing drastically improves his horizontal speed which is more useful in more scenarios. Plus, the combo tree out of his Dash Attack both on the ground and in the air makes this ability the true master of the sky once you get a real handle on it. Smash: A fun reference to the Smash series with a ton of puzzle utility because of its varied moveset. Sword: It's basic, sure, but it just has so many fun moves. It's really grown over the years too, as if Kirby as slowly mastered this ability overtime. With so many fun iterations like the Elemental variations in Squeak Squad and ESPECIALLY Star Allies, the Sword Robobot Armor in Planet Robobot, and the Meta Knight Sword in Forgotten Land with it's Crescent Shots and Upper Caliber combined with all the great fights against MK himself, this is absolutely my favorite Copy Ability. However, despite the episode and comment being based on the Copy Abilities, I want to give attention to the thing that these abilities draw attention away from being... Normal/Abilityless: I don't care if this isn't really an ability, I'm putting it here to talk about Kirby when he doesn't have an ability, because most people put a tad too much emphasis on the Copy Abilities. Obviously they add a ton to the gameplay loop, but I've seen so many people say that abilityless Kirby is just worse in a lot of cases, which I don't think is the case. Sure, you can't always attack bosses, but I think that puts a greater emphasis on dodging attacks, something you might not think about when you can always hurt the boss. Plus, when you do get attacks in, you're gonna be doing a TON of damage. It's also just satisfying to dodge a big attack that drops like 10 stars, inhale them all, and unleash a massive attack right back. I love Abilityless so much that I've beating Forgotten Land's Ultimate Cup Z on like 4 or 5 occasions without a Copy Ability and like doing normal Arena runs without an ability in many of the Kirby games.
Gigant Sword is easily one of my favorite ability upgrades from forgotten Land. It plays so differently from any of the other upgrades, which is something that I wish they did more often for utility reasons. My favorite, from Forgotten Land at least, is probably drill just because of how useful it is to have a semi-invulnerable ability in 3D combat
I'm so HAPPY UFO IS HERE ITS MY FAVORITE. I only ever played squeak squad and being a tiny little ufo with laser beams is sooo cute. You're right that it sucks going up a ledge then finding out you can't go back down 😭
Love all the ones on the list, hammer and sword are my absolute favorites. I wish there was a special shout out to Mirror. I liked splitting into duplicates and ability to reflect enemy attacks made it one of my favorites to use in Super Star.
My favorite copy abilities will always be from Kirby and the Forgotten land. If only because of the devastation they can cause when upgraded. It may be a journey, but it's a journey we take together. Plus the results are more then worth it.
Another ability thats worthy of being an honorable mention is Cutter. The duck hat is cute, the ability is fun to used, it’s based on Ultraseven’s Eye Slugger, and when upgraded to Chakram Cutter, it’s literally Ultraman Zero’s Zero Sluggers.
Josh and Wambu seem to be similar when it comes to the Kirby 64 mix abilities, they both prefer the fire sword over the double bladed lightsaber, they both get triggered when people call the curling stone "a hockey puck" and they both have fridge and firework as their two favourites, with firework being number 1
Shoutout to the Dragon Fire upgrade in Forgotten Land: getting the record time with it is pure bullshit, but everything else about it was flatout amazing. I love the color of Kirby's flames as well, they're so unique: threatening and beautiful at the same time. I'm usually not a fan of the fire ability because of its weird movement patterns and that it's not that great against most bosses, but this is a definite exception. I wish this one would come back.
Shocked that someone nicknamed "Fiery Joker" didn't put the fire copy ability in this list. I get it's not the best objectively, but Kirby being able to turn into a living flamethrower is too cool not to be considered at least an honorable mention.
I know it's gonna sound a bit weird, but my personal favorite copy ability it's sword or hammer... Bomb. It's bomb. Please don't ask why, as soon as you find out it's great for zoning- things are never the same.
16:45 Love that you chose to include the Japanese transformation music for Kirby, which is titled ‘Special Ability is Inhaled’. 4KIDS, WHY DIDN’T YOU USE THIS?!
Sword's my #1 Kirby ability, with Fire at #2. Might not be the best ability, but I like it, especially in the Robobot Armor and the Dragon Fire ability from Forgotten Land.
Ironically enough Wheel is great for bosses actually. Just do that little jump flip attack he has. he does damage constantly, and you're invincible, so just keep doing it and you'll never die.
Unlike bosses and games, I'm not quite as firm in what my exact favorite copy abilities are, since a lot of them are fun for different reasons. I'd probably generally gravitate to the closer-ranged melee-focused powers like Hammer, Sword, Fighter, and Beetle (Hammer's my favorite of those 3 overall, though Sword gets a special shoutout for having some especially fun evolutions in Forgotten Land). Other favorites that come to the top of my head are Poison (and to a lesser extent Water), Leaf, Fire, Sand, Spear, Mecha, Needle & Tornado (both specifically in Forgotten Land), and surprisingly enough Parasol (in the modern games). Spider and Ice are also some of my favorites to plow through regular enemies with, but aren't amazing against bosses.
I gotta stick up for the *Scan/Copy* ability from _Kirby Super Star_ as it's actually most useful in the *Milky Way Wishes* portion of the game, which nerfs Kirby's natural copy ability. So yeah, it's useless for most of the 'games' of _Super Star_ but in *Milky Way Wishes,* it lets you copy abilities you haven't unlocked yet.
No mention of Staff, not even as an honorable mention, this is a crime. Personally, nothing beats pogoing across the stage only to unleash a downward flurry of jabs on my target. And for a melee ability it has some really solid range, then add on the lightning element and each jab sends a lightning bolt down on your enemies or fire to cause an explosion instead. Really hope it returns in a future game since its only appearance so far was its introductory appearance in Star Allies (hopefully the next 3D game so we can get some cool upgrades).
Okay but did we not all abuse the Stone ability in the arena as a kid? If you're a patient enough person who still isn't patient enough to learn the Boss's moves, you could just continuously slam them with the Stone ability and wait for them to move. Did I mention that you have a literal TON of various shapes that you turn into at random with each use, showing of many fun references to past games?
Dude, I got a brilliant idea for these Kirby Copy Abilities! 😁 Since you are only able to talk about only 15 abilities on this list, maybe next time, you can make a ranking of all of them! 😉😉😉

TOP 15?!
Greatest plot twist ever. Did not see that coming.
I'm so HAPPY UFO IS HERE ITS MY FAVORITE. I only ever played squeak squad and being a tiny little ufo with laser beams is sooo cute. You're right that it sucks going up a ledge then finding out you can't go back down 😭
When I use the Fighter ability during a boss fight, I always finish them off with a Rising Break.
Love all the ones on the list, hammer and sword are my absolute favorites. I wish there was a special shout out to Mirror. I liked splitting into duplicates and ability to reflect enemy attacks made it one of my favorites to use in Super Star.
I didnt think id ever hear a sabaton song in a josh video. But you know what? Now that i have, im not suprised
Josh: JUST ONCE!!! I WOULD LIKE YOU TO ENTER LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!!!!
Shaman: no =w=
The Zelda soundtrack over the UFO makes me giggle.
You can feel the power of number one, you can see the power, you can hear the power.
It makes sense that it’s number one.
I heard Tank Tolman on hammer…thank you sir, HAMMAR!!!!
Shocked that someone nicknamed "Fiery Joker" didn't put the fire copy ability in this list. I get it's not the best objectively, but Kirby being able to turn into a living flamethrower is too cool not to be considered at least an honorable mention.
A bunch of copy abilities getting fire added to them probably made the ability redundant.
have you guys noticed the Men in tights song in the background of archer
That ending... Even on this channel, you can't stop the intruders...
So that's why Ryu showed up in Smash Bros, he's there to get the Hadouken back from Kirby.
Sword will always be one of my favorites particularly in Air ride and Return to Dreamland.
Hey can you do a top ten worst bosses list
My favorite abilities are archer and buzzsaw cutter
Glad you decided to cover RTDR individually. Especially that you didn’t include it in the games list.
Nice use of Evil Emperor Zurg’s *Hyper Death Ray* line from the Buzz Lightyear animated series.
Personally, I'm surprised beetle didn't even make the honorable mentions.
I know it's gonna sound a bit weird, but my personal favorite copy ability it's sword or hammer... Bomb. It's bomb. Please don't ask why, as soon as you find out it's great for zoning- things are never the same.
Can’t believe you snuck in the entire wampum list
My god this list was incredible also sword is my favorite copy ability if my PFP didn't tell
16:45 Love that you chose to include the Japanese transformation music for Kirby, which is titled ‘Special Ability is Inhaled’. 4KIDS, WHY DIDN’T YOU USE THIS?!
Sometimes to defeat your enemy, you must BECOME your enemy.
Did know : in amazing mirror, fighter kirby can spam the rising break/shryuken.
Am I the only one who thinks of Tales of with the sword? It's got Tiger Blade, Sword Rain, Tempest, so many classic moves!
Sword's my #1 Kirby ability, with Fire at #2. Might not be the best ability, but I like it, especially in the Robobot Armor and the Dragon Fire ability from Forgotten Land.
Adds in all combination abilities
Briefly lists them down

Refuses to elaborate
Moves on
Funny how his top 2 are the same as Wambu’s
0:53 copy i's for multiplayer so a friend can copy an ability
Indeed. Plus Milky Way Wish's gimmick of requiring Copy to use abilities without collecting them.
If ranger is Kirby with a gun, then space ranger is Kirby with the BFG9000.
Here are 15 of my favorite copy abilities:
1. Sword
2. Ranger
3. Fighter
4. Hammer
5. Cutter
6. Wheel
7. ESP
8. Beetle
9. Water
10. Fire
11. Ice
12. Sand
13. Mecha
14. Beam
15. Archer
10:33 my son has returned to deliver the stabby stabby
25:19 was that a voice clip from tank tolmen?!
i begin to wonder if Nintendo/HAL saw DBZ and someone pitched the idea of "Majin Buu, but Kawaii."
Since you are only able to talk about only 15 abilities on this list, maybe next time, you can make a ranking of all of them! 😉😉😉
16:05 nice to see wambu got to you in another way
I was hoping you'd reference your outro when talking about Crash.
also did you know that toy hammer, or maybe hammer in general, can be used to glitch insane hight in forgotten land?
Oh hello soundsmith reference
Also, did wambu write the Kirby 64 entry?
Robin Hood: Men in Tights = Automatic win!
i don't know what's scarier... Kirby with the needle ability or being sentenced to the iron maiden,
How dare you not even give Mirror an honorable mention. That's literally my only complaint.
