    It is sad that so many people's hair is being ruined while they are spending thousands on salon visits and "approved" products while being gaslit about their hair health deteriorating over time. Stylists like Narada end up fixing the mess these stylists made. What is worse is them not admitting their wrongdoing, not trying to revamp their methods, or not being able to assess damage. Narada, you are truly a man of integrity. Thanks for speaking out for so many.

      I agree. I use to get these cuts and the stylist cut more hair on one side then the other. So my hair was uneven. I could tell doing a wash m go. I had to go back for her to fix…and I said this is it no more curly cuts for me. 😞

    No one could make a rebuttal video to Dickie coz he is the true king of wash n go and they all knew that he spoke nothing but facts.
    Why people keep coming for you when Dickie laid this matter to rest ?
    Narada pls keep speaking on this however you see fit, coz there are still many others caught up in that world who are yet to see the light...

    I saw her post and cringed when I saw the part about blown out cuts. I have no idea why a licensed cosmetologist would say you can’t properly see spilt ends on a blown out state. My jaw dropped. If a licensed cosmetologist can’t see spilt ends on a blown out state, I would challenge the stylist skills and knowledge smh

      Yeah I feel like she's trying to "sweet-nice girl" this problem away with a caption and I can't allow her or anyone else to do that. It's emotional manipulation and it's dishonest to say you haven't seen a difference with curly cut vs blow out cut. It's not a matter of preference because no one chooses to walk around with their hair riddled with split ends which is why she's now recommending wash n go styling with creams and leave ins as a base now. If your method truly was working for you, there would be no reason to all of a sudden, switch up and adjust while we all get scrutinized as being bullies, tearing down black businesses, and inciting fear and drama. Like Iyanla says, NOT ON MY WATCH!

    You are correct; my hairstylist (when I had a perm) said that it is best to blow out the hair to see exactly what is happening instead of a curly cut. She handles both natural and no natural clients.She is who I TRUST to trim my ends and she explain to clients options to lead them to healthier hair (like you do). Keep speaking up because so many people lack the knowledge and depend on their hairstylist to provide adequate care.

Provided that the hair is healthy, Can hair shape and long hair length coexist? I feel like curly cuts make you have to choose between style and length and I want both!

    I've been natural for many years & always wore my hair curly. I remember the co-wash days, but I heard a stylist say that co-washing hair is like cleaning your skin with lotion. When I need a trim, my beautician blows my hair out. I find that getting a silk press once in a while helps with length checks & length retention. Thank you for the video 💕🦋

    Hi, I’m a bit late to comment but I had a question. I came across a video of yours that you did years ago where your method of trimming your hair was twisting small sections and cutting the ends of them. I was wondering if you would still advise this method for trimming my own hair? You didn’t blow dry your hair in that video but I will, just not sure if it would make a difference with this method.
    I know you don’t do this on clients but the way you trim is a bit difficult for me to replicate on myself and I can’t afford to see a stylist lol

  • @CherryBerry383

    I was actually shocked seeing the video in question. The ends of all the clients in the video had suspicious looking ends to me personally, their ends were straight but I noticed for a split second that she had trouble running her fingers through their blown out hair. I really like her work otherwise, but maybe health isnt as much of a concern of hers as I thought? Idk anymore, because i took her to be the best/one of the best stylist in the wash&go realm.

      I really hate that her and the rest of them are really trying to act like there's no issue to address.... I'm not going to allow them to continue to gaslight everyone and pretend that this isn't a problem worth being acknowledged, corrected, and accountable for.

    So, is it the fact that hair is being cut with heavy products with curly cuts? Hear me out... because I think split ends could get missed when folks get that "white drape" cut. I feel like stylists are cutting for shape instead of going through the hair although it is blown out.

    • @AfrikanHairGod
      @AfrikanHairGod  6 месяцев назад +14

      No. from what I've seen, none of them ever even assess the hair properly to identify split ends. I think at this point none of them really know how to. I was hoping they would learn from my videos but clearly that is not the case.

    • @AfrikanHairGod
      @AfrikanHairGod  6 месяцев назад +20

      I've also been correcting "blow out cut" stylists as well. I don't know if you have seen those videos as well. ruclips.net/video/otmPv0RADug/видео.html
      I think the critical point here is that many stylists don't know how to identify and pinpoint different forms of hair damage without using beauty school tricks that don't hold up in every circumstance. I had to LEARN outside of beauty school how to thoroughly assess hair damage on textured hair and some things are more specific to textured hair and if you don't know, then you just won't know.

      @@AfrikanHairGodThat was my experience when I got a curly cut out of curiosity about the process. The stylist just cut my hair for shape and never at any time did she assess my individual hair strands. I thought the cutting process was elementary - something I could’ve done at home. My regular stylist blows my hair out for trims and expects my strands to decide if I need a trim or not.
