Chess is an intellectual battle where players are exposed to numerous mental processes such as analysis, attention to detail, synthesis, concentration, planning and foresight. Psychological factors are also present on and off the board; playing Chess stimulates our imagination and creativity. Every single move a player makes is the result of a deep analysis based on the elements presented on the battlefield.
Chess in its essence teaches us psychological, sociological and even moral values. In a Chess game, both players start with the same amount of material and time. The fact that the white pieces move first is considered to be practically irrelevant -especially because a player typically plays one game as white and one game as black. Consequently, the final result of the battle solely depends on each player. It doesn’t matter if you win by taking advantage of your opponent’s mistakes or by simply avoiding mistakes yourself. Truth is that Chess is an extremely individual sport and our defeats can only be blamed on ourselves and no one else. And this, in the end, only benefits us because we learn to be and feel responsible for our actions and never come up with excuses to justify ourselves.
We also learn that when it comes to our victories on the board, our opponent's mistakes play a more significant role than our own skills. Let’s not forget that a Chess game without any mistakes would be a draw. This way, Chess provides us with another valuable life lesson: be humble at all times.

7:59 if you played Qd5, then they can sac the knight with check and there is a discovered attack on your queen. Qb6 was the best move.
Trueeeeeee 😅
Thanks for that! Loved the recap at the end.
You are more than welcome! 🙌👍
Nice job. Extreme calm under time pressure. Very instructive.
Another great video, thanks! Robert, do you ever play the Nimzo-Larsen attack as white? I kind of like it and would love to see your take on it. Kind of strategic like the Vienna and Kings Indian openings you have covered for white.
Thank you for this video. It is very instructive.
Awesome game. Thank you for sharing.
Another instructive 15|10. Saved in my library!
at 6:08 i would move queen to e3 and check so king has to move so he can´t castle And is blocking it´s own rock and you still get that pawn. Or is this a bad idea?
8:00 Qd5 Nf6+
🤫 😅💪😎
Well done coach 👏
Thank you! 👍😎
after Nxc3,Bxc3, you can just take the pawn on c5 and threatening checkmate in f2, after maybe Qe2, then you take the bishop in c3+
Which board theme and pieces (and animation) do you use. Really loving these videos man!
Boss level lectures!
at 1:42 after ...e5 the complications favor white in a big way
Only thing missing is a strong cup of Cuban Coffee ☕
I preffer the invading Poland and France variation of the Austrian attack
I heard the English defense is good against it
Hi Rob after move 5 why didn't white move their pawn to E , would have caused havoc?
I was looking forward to white playing e5 because I've studied those lines and they are exciting. Then they go and play c5!
3:31 I love it 😂👍
What openings that the pirc defense is the best to play against? Thank you very much!
e4.
Make video on capeblankas games with special queens gambit
At 17:13 in video, you missed ...Nc2, winning a Rook. Sure white was threatening .gxh7+, but just ...Kh8 and black has the a1-h8 diagonal covered, besides, you could always play ...f6 if you got into trouble.
Close with queen d5 I was praying u didn’t play that lmao
very nice game😀
Awsome stuff, hope youve managed to play John on Lichess plays😂
😅 I have to play him 💪
Why not castle before playing ...c5? That way you avoid the drawing line while having a good chance to scalp a lower-rated player. Thanks.
Excellent game
Thank you! 👍😎
To be fair... It was white that destroyed the Austrian Attack here when playing Bb5 and dxc5. 😎
If white know how to play Bb5 or dxc5 I'm not to sure about blacks chances to get some play. Maybe instead meeting it with 1 e4 g6, 2 d4 d6, 3 Nc3 c6 and after 4 f4 d5!? with, after 5 e5, ideas like h5, Nh6, Bf5 or g4 (exchange it with whites knight or preferably bishop if possible) e6 and c5 when Bf8 is not going to g7. Sort of playing the French. More a positional play but maybe white is most displeased with that. 😎
😅 good point 👍😎 I actually played this same line in Thursday's life stream where I showed how Carlsen played it VS Nakamura. It gets interesting.
@@NMRobertRamirez Aha, got to check that out then. 😙👍
