    those bass straps look like they put a lot of torque on the neck...ludwig and pearl both sell over the shoulder straps in black and white that are alot more comfortable.

    @pokechatter the 110 doesnt actually march quads. They have dual toms players. If you listen closely tho you can here them. Maybe i just notice them as I am a quints player but still.

    First off its Graham, second it doesn't matter how much or little you do it's all coming from the same place, and third anyone who was or is in the 110 is there for a reason no matter what instrument they play.

    Love this video! My dad is an OU110 Percussion alumni and I've enjoyed homecoming many times and these cadences bring back memories. Thanks for sharing.

    Possibly because they wanted to house more people in the band?
    But probably because it's tradition.
    Plus it's badass.

    @12345timm
    Yes, those are duos. Notice that there are two sets - You can basically think of it as quads split up: Drums 1&2 together for one set of duos and drums 3&4 for the next set.
    It has always been this way since the 110 first came into existence. Ergo, it will always be this way as it is our tradition. You can get a hell of a lot more tonality and rhythm patterns from our set up. Quads and quints are for corps.
    Welcome to the college level of GROOVE.

    @ohioasp even with low quality sound recording and the echo from the room, one should still be able to here a little bit of toms.
