Excellent video. Thanks for not talking / playing music / doing a ten minute rambling intro / talking about sponsors etc. I’ve serviced my bottom bracket based on your video and the difference is amazing. I know a new unit wouldn’t break the bank, but there is something satisfying about keeping things going.
Very nice to see you repair things instead of just throwing away. 40 years ago when I worked in a bike shop, we had a solvent tank to clean parts. The tank makes it easy to get all the grit out of the parts.
What a godsend! My bottom bracket was making clicking sounds when I do hard peddling. I have an odd ball size bottom bracket with sealed bearings that I can't find. Found this video and followed it step by step. Everything was bone dry. Even the sealed bearings had no grease. I greased the bearings like the video. I anti seized all the threads. The annoying click is gone. THANK YOU!
I just completed installing one of these bearings on a very old Giant brand Canyon bicycle. I just bought a new bearing. It was pretty inexpensive and was very simple to install since I had the proper tools. I just saved myself some money.

What about a clunking bike? The clunking is happening in the bottom bracket, as I'm pedaling, and on the non-drive side. It happens on the downward stroke, but only on the non-drive side. For now. What's going on?

Note, this is only 1 out of dozens of types of bottom brackets. Make sure you know what type of bottom bracket you have and how to properly remove it or you could end up damaging both the bottom bracket and your frame.
8:35 You showed that the BB rotated 8 times after cleaning, but you need to show how many times it rotated before cleaning so we can know whether it is effective or not.
Yes, it's an ordinary syringe from a pharmacy, but it has a nozzle for glue or flux from a hardware store. Green grease is Divinol thick calcium grease

There’s no way to revive bottom bracket bearings. Replacing only bearings is also senseless, because they are unique dimensions and expensive. Buying new bottom bracket is the only economically justified way (10$ for cheap one).

It's very strange, but my bike has threads in rusted poor condition. The bike is a rare classic. Early in its life, the one side of the shell was thread Italian which has the same pitch but deeper threads. That side gave me problems before rethread. The other side is the original English thread. This is possible if you thread Italian from the tap with correct thread direction. Phil Wood retaining ring with Italian thread one side, and English on the other. It wont be for long. If it werent for the water... The balls itself are rusted and have caverns on surface. Better just changne the bearings/cartridge. Even the cheapest kenli one will be better. Those bearings sounded rough at the end and don't think you are supposed to grease the square taper BB crank interface, it's supposed to be a dry fit.
