When I was a junior in high school, the senior class put on this musical. I was on the stage crew and worked the spotlight for the musical, and this song brought the house down. I'm in my 70s now and I'll never forget that time.
@@HorseRacingLive Hey I had exactly the same experience. I watched musical from a catwalk where we raised and lowered sets from and onto the stage. The song, sung in the round by some talented students, was spellbinding and, like you said, it brought the house down. The year was 1970 and I am now 70. Unforgettable.
Same. Love Let it Ride. Very undervalued film. Richard Dreyfuss and Teri Garr were superb, as were the supporting cast. 'I'm having a very good day'. 👍
the Life magazine is the June 6, 1955 issue featuring Henry Fonda promoting his film "Mr. Roberts" ; the Look magazine is the 14 June 1955 edition featuring "The Honeymooners" actors Gleason & Carney ; the Time magazine is the 6 June 1955 issue featuring Yugoslavia 's Marshall Tito
It's actually 'Fugue for Tinhorns'. An old girlfriend of mine's father was Johnny Silver. He's the little guy on the right playing Benny Southstreet. You wouldn't know it from this song but he had a beautiful amazing voice. He was singing this in character of course.
i haven’t thought about this song in probably a decade. suddenly at 2 in the morning i remember its existence and had to immediately watch it.
Lol 😂! Thanks 🙏, happy Holiday

Gold Medal flour used the music with different words of course for one of their TV commercials back in the 60s. " With Gold Medal you can do" .

Good song for a karaoke bar
I just put this in as a link to a question about on-line scams. There is nothing new under the sun.
True. Thanks
But what if it's a muddy track?
Then you will have to make a decision
His father was a Mudder, his mother was a Mudder! he loves the slop, he eats the slop!!

1955??? Hahaha 😂
The McElroy’s did it better
Better than Stubby Kaye, who created the character of Nicely Nicely Johnson? I doubt it.
