A beast of a song. Im a metal sculptor. This had all the steel in my workshop resonating. A fabulous noise, drove my neighbours mad. Volume creep is great fun
Just saw Neil and Crazy Horse Live at "A Day on the Green" in Geelong Australia. We were soaked through by the end of the show but it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen. Periods of light drizzling rain all night, and then it absolutely poured down half way through "Like a Hurricane" (ironic hey?), but Neil and the boys didn't miss a beat. Absolutely awesome performance and one I will never forget. I feel privileged to have been able to experience Neil and the band live. Just magic.
Agreed. For me this is the last great Crazy Horse album, not putting down what they are putting out now but they are a different band without Poncho. I miss him.
Neil Young is simply the GREATEST Rock musician of our time! Who's put out as many albums? Who has as tremendous a versatility in their sound? Who has as long and storied of a career? Who is as great a humanitarian? And finally, who is as spiritual in their approach to their craft?
One of the most epic pieces of music I've ever witnessed at a live concert. What an album and what a tour. Neil and the Horse just killing it on that tour.....so heavy. Lotta old people who came for a sit down acoustic/piano night with Neil, had their damn minds blown whether they wanted it or not. I was in expensive seats in Vancouver, with lots of old timers who could afford it and there were definitely a few walk outs. When midnight hit, it was Neil's B-day too! Special Night. Psychedelic PIll is up there with the best Crazy Horse albums, no doubt. Long Live Uncle Neil.
My friend best friend of 45 years and I just saw Neil for the (to many time to remember) at the Tuscaloosa Outdoor Theater. Neil and Crazy Horse put on another brilliant performance. This is one artist that is in a genre of his own, true to the music, his many fans, and his life. Long may you run Neil, long may you run.
I just love Neil Young and his guitar playing. He has got a sound that no one else can sound like. I remember when I bought my first Neil Young album in 1971. I was hooked after that. That was After the Goldrush. Then I got into collecting his records. Right now I have around 16. I especially like "The Loner" his first album.
just saw them live in winnipeg.....unbelievable concert....Crazy Horse is THE band for Neil. No words to describe it. Do not miss this concert if you are a true neil fan and not just a fan hoping he will play all his old hits....he plays a few, but the new stuff .... the new songs... just excellent beyond words
I heard this live in Winnipeg back in the before times and I was transported to another dimension that night. Here on the prairies, Neil walks as a giant on the land. We love you Neil. The instrumental in the middle blew my brain up into little pieces. I am no longer the same.
Is "Walk Like A Giant" the final, great, spectacular, old-school psychedelic epic from Neil Young & Crazy Horse? ...so many great electric songs over the decades from these guys. It takes more than words to describe where this song takes us. An anthem, a lament, a poignant flight into the desert sunset on the back of that eagle (on the Zuma LP cover). It's like watching Neil & band when they performed "A Day In The Life" at Glastonbury a few years ago... powerful, brilliant, enigmatic. But there is a sense of loss. A foreboding. A hole in the universe... a profound sadness for the days that are long gone, the things we can never replace. Some memories remain. That old guitar evokes all of this & so much more. Peace & love brother.
Isn't it cool when you discover something "new" that's been around for decades? I'm 57 and just got into the White Stripes by accidentally playing them on RUclips. Now I can't get enough. Life is a beautiful thing!
This entire album plays well as background music, a little loud or... ear bleeding and window shattering volume (assuming you have amp and speakers for it). Insanely relevant and deeply personal lyrics. The best music the 21st century has given us yet. Thank you Neil for pouring your soul through your guitar. Amazing!
I always love Neil Young with Crazy horse! He NEVER has a sucky album with these guys and I am always excited to see them together! Why?? They love to jam together!!
More than enjoyed this masterpiece live in Ottawa concert...The live experience was far better than this video creation, but than again so are most of his live productions. He is truly amazing, this song blew me away...WAY TO GO Neil and Crazy ones...Another winner forever, live on my friends........... WOW !!!!
This just proves than amazing people like Neil Young always have talent no matter how long you have been rocking! What an amazing song thank you for the upload and thank you Neil Young! Keep on Rocking in the Free World!
Whenever Neil creates that...?...sonic super sensation with his guitar and the band follows, all is right and healthy in Rock. His unique shredding stands the test of time and provides the light at the end of the commercial hell music is going through right now. That too will pass and true thundering "garage" rock will emerge victorious once again in no small part to Neil Young and his absolute refusal to sell out. Neil...you are THE best!
I wanna walk like a giant on the land, my 5 yr old son was singing this after making this our morning wake up tune on the way to his school bus this morning, i came inside after getting him safely on it sat down and began whistling, thanks Neil!
We were almost there in the sixties and seventies. Then came in the mid eighties the cold wind..........and it is still blowing...........Neil ,you never have disappointed me.Great album, great song !I wish I could live with the optimistic hope of those years again. But learned in the meantime so much about people and their greed. How so many are grapped by moneymaking and power .And what? No one is aware how we drifted away from that time. They all are parading in the rightwing, moneymaking parade.
Neil Young uses his talent as one of the greatest guitarists/songwriter ever to make the world a better place of love and peace. In my eyes the world is a better place because of his music. I'm keeping the faith. ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE
Mr. Bernard Shakey I like the new one that just came out Americana with Crazy Horse and the dvd is dont in old black & white A Day At The Gallery It was up but now I cant find the full movie . One of the best tracks is Oh Susannah,This Land Is Your Land ,Clementine . My grandpa left me a house full of 60s 70s and up til the mid 90s . He had a record shop .
I love it ... almost playful in genre ... but cutting a swath in the great field of Life ...I am richer for having heard it. Thanks for the gift you gave here Neil. Another offering to the sound gods no doubt.
No Neil, giants want to walk like YOU. Never has an artist been truer to his fans and this song, this CD proves it. This is Powderfinger, Down by the River, Like a Hurricane, Hey Hey My My all in one and on thc-laced steroids. What a treat for your longtime fans.
This album is entirely amazing, an original masterpiece. I wish he made another one with the same atmosphere and, of course, with the fabulous Crazy Horse...
During the Toronto gig I told the guy sitting next to me the first 16 minutes were still just the intro to the song...lol. Long live the extended solo!
Been listening to Neil since I was 15 when Heart of Gold came out and while I love all his different styles, this style is what I love the most. Sitting in the middle of loud, grungy guitars!
Walking the camino from the Netherlands to Santiago de Compostele (Spain) (2740 km) In the early mornings when the shade of my profile was like a giant I was thinking on this song of Neil Young. Fantastic
Saw this live at the first concert of 2012 tour in Albuquerque N.M. Psychedelic pill wasn't out yet. Americana was the last release and that is what we expected to hear. And Neil /Crazy Horse came out with THIS. Amazing show! THANK YOU NEIL!
It is a shame indeed! The more I listen to him ( all of his LP's, with or without the horse ), the more I 'love' this man! I love his music, so pure, his lyrics, his poetry...In fact, I love him much more than Dylan, don't ask me why...He hs somthing...Have you ever listened to 'Philadelphia'? It is a marvel! Like most of his songs!!! I really agree with you! Have a nice day!

Tom Waits is the only other artist I can think of who consistently puts out good albums after all this time. Neil's work has never become a shadow of what it used to be, in fact, I think it keeps on getting better. And the horse! What a beast! as full of vitality and spirit as she's ever been. Long may you run.
Oh wow, the Dublin Castle. Saw my son's band perform there to two men and a dog, three years ago. Yep, watching Neil thrash 'Old Black' in such a venue would be worth the commute.
I came of age aware of what y'all almost pulled off; in fact, I thought it was still in process, still happening, and only reluctantly accepted that there was no critical mass to make it happen. It's so rarely spoken of, so thank you. For all of it, but for saying it out loud.
There was a time when Giants did walk on the land. There's petrified mudfossils of them all over the earth. They were massive and GOD speaks clearly about them in the lost books that were left out of the Bible. When HE flooded the earth they were densified. Every time I listen to this song the guitar at the end sounds just like these giant beings walking on the land. Neil must have known about them back then when he wrote this amazing song. I wish I could have known Neil young. He was always a little different in sort of a strange way. He stood apart from all the rest. I've always been a little different myself, even from my family. That's part of what draws me to Neil on a personal level. I think we could have been great friends if given the opportunity. But all I have is his great music and I'm great ful for that. I still feel like I've missed something by not knowing him personally.
If there were any justice, I'd hear this daily on any rock station. When I was a kid, anything this good by Neil would be played all the time. Nobody wants to hear this anymore -- the sentiments in the lyrics or the music. What a shame...
If we follow the true path of God..we become much more than giants and those who have goodness & love always win in the end. Even if the whole world dies...good souls will always live on :) ~ Love, peace & God Bless Neil Young ~

To me psychedelic pill is Neil's most underrated album. As much as I love Neil this one far outshines the few albums that came before or after it.
Totally agree.
Agreed. For me this is the last great Crazy Horse album, not putting down what they are putting out now but they are a different band without Poncho. I miss him.
Yes. I agree.
This album is reminisces of his four greatest albums on the beach, American stars and bars tonight's the night Zuma
Absolutely amazing! Neil is unlike any other 🤯👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎸🎶🎶
Neils guitar=one of the best sounds in the world.
He's all I want to listen to lately. At least the last six months. And that's after listening to David Gilmour for about that long.

My friend and I have made a clone of this amp. It is the Neil Young tone I promise.
I have come to the conclusion, that the sound of Neil's guitar playing, is one of my favorite sounds on earth...
@Zen for sure....Im gonna listen all day...thanks for reminding me of this post👁☯☮🎶🍄😎🤟🤚
