Hi Courtney, thank so much for your tutorial. I have followed how you did it and I am so pleased with the result. They look amazing and really look like I have had them done in a salon! thank you again! ♥
I used sticky tabs for the first time last week and when I removed them I didn't soak them in warm water first. I just removed them with the stick. But with water it looks so much easier and healthier for the nail, so I will definetly do it the way you show it next time. I think a lot of people put them on wrong or struggle with instructions (I even saw someone in a review put square nails the wrong way around and complaining that they dont fit the cuticles lol), so videos like yours are so helpful and make the learning process a lot less frustrating for everyone! Thank you!
Great video girl! I have these glue tabs but have never before used them. Your video will hopefully help me save some of my more glamorous bling nails to re- wear.
These are so freaking beautiful and the adhesive tabs are WAYYYY More neat in application. Every single time i use glue it winds up going everywhere and all over the place on my hands, atble etc. I hope it stays on longer im going to try the application now. Thank you!!
So helpful. I just started wearing press on nails but I was looking for something that I can just wear for parties and take it off when i get home. Thank you, this is what I have been looking for ❤
I've just ordered a few bits to have a go at making some press ons and this series has definitely been helpful, I'm quite excited for getting started and have a play, lockdown is driving me bonkers!
This is great instruction! Thank you! I have read that if you apply the gel pads (I specifically bought waterproof ones) and then apply them to your real nails and put a drop of glue on top of them before applying false nails, they will stay up to two weeks, but of course you probably can't reuse the nails - so you can do it either way depending on what you want to accomplish. I admit I have not experimented with this yet.... I am going to try the second method first because my nails are in very bad shape and need to grow out.
So recently I got press on nails and I'm gonna do this method! I'm just wondering how hot the water has to be for the nails to come off? By the way this video is extremely helpful!
Hi there, great video! I just wondered, would you recommend filing/trimming the false nails to size BEFORE sticking them down with the glue tabs? Just worried doing it while they are newly stuck on will make them pop off! 😅 thanks!
Hi Eboni. I’m a fan now. Great tutorial. Tried a new salon and had to cut off all my natural nails so no more salons for me. Going to try your method until my natural nails are healthy again. What’s the trip on air bubbles? Thank you.😊
Great video! I love how you explain things in simple terms. Question about removing press ons with adhesive tabs: Whenever I've soaked them off, the adhesive tab comes off my nail fine, but sticks inside the nail. If I'm hoping to use them again, what's the best method for removing the goo from inside the nail?
Thank you! To remove the tabs for the nail, I stick something sharp underneath the edge of the sticky tab and try to pull it off. Most should come off this way, any remaining can be wiped off with isopropyl alcohol and a lint free wipe without damaging the nail. Xo
I too was looking for a way to apply my nails on a more temporary basis... I bought the sticky pads and have been experimenting with them. I apprecuated the alcohol comnent to remove the sticky stuff after removal.
Hello, love the idea of using adhesive tabs. you mentioned heat softens them... would Florida heat be the kind to soften them and make them pop off too easy? xx
@CoCoCarolyn hi! I've never been to florida, but I did wear them on a hot day in Germany and they popped off with ease by pressing down on the nail. It was about 95deg F . It's worth a shot anyways. There's so many variables that you'll only know if it will suit you, if you try it. :) xx

I have oddly shaped nails and can never seem to get them to lay flat at the cuticle. There is always a gap and every time I do anything with my hair it gets caught under the nail at the cuticle. Do you have any tips to get them to lay flat with out the gap?
I think all you can do in this situation is get it to sit really really really close to the cuticle so it closes the gap. I would also try using an electric file to thin the unpainted underside of the nail so that it would sit closer to the surface of the natural nail. This is especially possible if the presson color or design were created with acrylic. Hope that helps!! Its a tricky one. xo

@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie oh because i used the glue on the press on and put it on my nail and it came off the same day i put them on is there a certain kind of glue to use for them?
@blujaygirl6263 some glues are better. I use "the edge" but there are many reasons for the glue to fail . if the nail wasn't perfectly fitted to your nail or the prep of the natural nail was insufficient or there wasn't enough glue or there was too much glue.. it's not as forgiving as it seems. X
Hello! My question is if I have used the adhesive tabs for once and then removed my nails so if I have to use these nails for the second time will I have to use glue? Or only adhesive tabs are available?
Hiya, if you apply them with adhesive tabs , you can remove the nails, remove the tabs and reapply them with more tabs as many times as you like. You can also reapply them with glue, but once you use glue, you won't be able to reuse them. Unless you let them fall off naturally and then use an electric file to clean away the underside of the nail tip where the old glue is..
@@yihuiwang3494 you could wrap some sandpaper around a small stick and rub it off I suppose. That would work, it would just take longer. I would buy a small cheap electric file. You can find them for 10£ on Amazon. It wouldn't need to be a professional one 😊
It's really hard to say! There are so many variables like how well they fit, how the nails are shaped, how long they are, quality of natural nails, how well they are prepped, applied, what kind of lifestyle the wester had etc... Etc.. I have known people to wear them for 14 days plus. But I think they are the very rarest. A week would be good in my opinion. The best pet about these is that if they pop off, it only takes a minute to reapply them. If you don't lose it! Lolol
Pressons can last anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks. It just depends on how well they're applied, how long they are and how careful you are with them. Xo
@energyatwork9007 I find this happens on old or cheap sticky tabs. You could try warming them in your hand before trying to peel the plastic off but I Don't actually know if that will help.
I loved it but its frustrating how they come off when I do the dishes because I like to use hot water so it doesn't feel as gross but my nails sort of bend after washing my hands
@@gamerashxx190 no, not really. You will need to attach them with nail glue or adhesive tabs. If you are sensitive to both of those things, sadly you won't be able to wear fake nails. 😔
@@chuckgan no, you can't peel the backing off before you stick it to your nail/ the tip or else you'll touch it and ruin the sticky. Try to do it from the corner rather than pulling it straight back. Or press it down harder so that it's really stuck to your nail and has no choice but to release the backing. Not all tabs are created equally either. I've had a problem with one out of a batch of 20 before as well. It could just be a bad batch.
@@valiesari8221 ah! Lol with gel tabs, only a day or so. Applied with nail glue, they can last 2 weeka. But it is dependent on the quality of your natural nails, how well they are prepped and how well they are applied. I've seen people only get a day out of them with nail glue, because they haven't prepped or applied them properly, or their nails were too bitten and shirt or damaged.
Yea. That is common. You need to prepare the natural nail very well, and use enough glue while making sure the false nail fits very well to ensure full contact with the natural nail. If your hair is getting caught, there either isn't enough glue to cover the entire nail, or there is cuticle on the natural nail plate that prevents proper adhesion of the presson, or the presson is too small/stiff and required too much pressure in order to get it to lay flat on the natural nail. If you have to push down hard to make the nail fit, it will constantly be pulling away to go back to its natural shape and won't last, with the edges being the first to remove themselves from the natural nail, where you hair will get stuck.
If the adhesive tab is stuck to your nail, and the nail tip isn't sticking to it, probably the nail tip is too curved, or too small or too stiff for your natural nail shape.
That's a good question. Looking back, I shouldn't have. Sorry about that. They are just wee double sided stickers, so if you use the yoitube feature to slow it down, you might be able to see well enough. Though, you've probably found another video that has made it clearer. Xx
Oh, sorry. I didn't realize anyone would need help with that. Just peel them off the sheet, stick it to your nail and remove the plastic backing. Then it's on your nail and ready.

@energyatwork9007 I find this happens on old or cheap sticky tabs. You could try warming them in your hand before trying to peel the plastic off but I Don't actually know if that will help.
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie thanks, I ll try it... 😊
I loved it but its frustrating how they come off when I do the dishes because I like to use hot water so it doesn't feel as gross but my nails sort of bend after washing my hands
I agree! I have the same problem when washing up. Nail glue is a better option for that.
what if you are sensitive? because im very sensitive but i really wanna put them on
If you are sensitive to adhesives you should avoid them. X
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie ok ty! Do you have any recommendations? I really wanna try on fake nails
@@gamerashxx190 no, not really. You will need to attach them with nail glue or adhesive tabs. If you are sensitive to both of those things, sadly you won't be able to wear fake nails. 😔
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie ok ty 😊
Having impossible time putting the adhesive tabs on. Can get it applied to the nail but can’t peel off the other part
Oh no, do they not have a little tab on the plastic protective sheet? Maybe try sticking them to the nail first xo
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie they have the tab. Should I peel it off before applying to my nail?
@@chuckgan no, you can't peel the backing off before you stick it to your nail/ the tip or else you'll touch it and ruin the sticky. Try to do it from the corner rather than pulling it straight back. Or press it down harder so that it's really stuck to your nail and has no choice but to release the backing. Not all tabs are created equally either. I've had a problem with one out of a batch of 20 before as well. It could just be a bad batch.
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie thanks for the advice!
Finally got it done!
What color polish is that nude?
It's TGB sepia 😊
How do they stay on?
You apply them with the sticky tabs or nail glue, just like other press on nails. I don't know the science behind what makes them stay.
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie Sorry..I meant how long do they stay on.
@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie ok thnx a bunch. 👍👍
i am getting mine in three days
Hoooooray!
Are you courtney?
Huhu 🥺 I want this.
Every time I've tried press ons my hair gets cought under them by the cuticle area it's so anoying please help .
These are only sticky on one side I don’t get it????
They're sticky on both sides. You need to peel off the protective layer x
God I’m so confused!! I peel the adhesive tab off and put it on nail then pull it off but the nail doesn’t stick?
If the adhesive tab is stuck to your nail, and the nail tip isn't sticking to it, probably the nail tip is too curved, or too small or too stiff for your natural nail shape.
The main thing I want to learn, is how to put the dam adhesive, and u did so fast, dam!!!!!
I just bought my first set and I already lost 3 :( I don’t know what I’m doing wrong!
Oh no! What is happening? Pm me on fb facebook.com/courtney.crosbie29
Why would you fast-forward through the steps of peeling off the sticky tab when that is what we are here to see?
That's a good question. Looking back, I shouldn't have. Sorry about that. They are just wee double sided stickers, so if you use the yoitube feature to slow it down, you might be able to see well enough. Though, you've probably found another video that has made it clearer. Xx
is it smart tip?
no?
they look like acrylics
Yea they do eh. They've got a nice little curve to them. They're not as strong as acrylics but the do the job.
Should I file the fake nails before or after putting them on??
Either is fine but if you're painting them, you will want to file them before you paint them.
It never stay put for me 😂 idk why
It only had tape
💅❣️😊👍
Thanks for stopping by the comments!
Wish I was a girl so I could play with nails 😭
Some of the best nail techs in the world are men. Don't let something so insignificant stop you.
These are so good for muslim girls
Anyone in 2024
Here
Should show how awkward it is to do tabs on right hand with nails applied on leeft hand.
It's painful to watch 🤣🤣
Not helpful when I need to see how to take the tabs out and put them on, etc...not speed through that part...sigh...
Oh, sorry. I didn't realize anyone would need help with that. Just peel them off the sheet, stick it to your nail and remove the plastic backing. Then it's on your nail and ready.
That’s my issue too. It’s hard to remove the plastic off.
My nails never fit this perfectly.
That's a shame, it can be tricky especially if you have really flat/really curved nail beds. X
