Once configured test the controller out on the emulator game for example. Playstation emulator epsxe use the controller and configure as you would like it to be done. The red flashing lights up top where it shows which player you are won't be specific. All of the flashing lights with consistently be on. This is okay as it does not matter which controller you have just as you remember which controller is player 1 or 2 etc. As it is configured and you are running the iso on the epsxe (just an example) press the buttons and make sure your character is moving as you configured it to move. THIS IS HOW YOU KNOW IF IT WORKS. To connect controller follow this video as it is correct. I can make a video to show as an example if anyone would like and I support this video 100% as I have followed it and it has worked.

Because the controller might not support bluetooth, some can, but be sure and get a proper sony one.
