The cardinals front office has stated their goal is to be competitive. It seems the goal is to make a wild card and take their chances. This isn’t cardinal
Baseball imo. The front office seems to be doing just enough to keep fans coming. You can argue the team is top 10 in spending but that’s solely because Mozeliak give horrendous contracts. His track record is abysmal. Until he goes I don’t see this team ever being a legitimate contender and Dewitt’s going to have to get over not paying for top pitching or the cardinals should draft pitching the top three rounds year after year after year so they can finally develop a legitimate ace

Didn’t the blues do something similar to what Nashville is doing now back in 2018? Getting ror, maroon and other pieces were a smaller version of what Nashville is doing. I like their aggressiveness. They’re all in to win while forsberg and Josi are in their prime. As a blues fan I hate it but I like the moves as a hockey fan

Makes me a little happy they went win now though because they will be past the prime of the roster in 2-3 years around the time the blues are playoff contenders.
