No movie changed Hollywood more than THE GODFATHER. From the bestselling novel by Mario Puzo to box-office blockbuster, its influential legacy endures to this day. Starring Marlon Brando in his Oscar®-winning performance as the patriarch of the Corleone family, this first installment in the three-movie saga paints a dramatic portrait of the Sicilian clan’s rise and near fall from power in America. Balanced between the Corleone’s commitment to family and the ugly crime business in which they are engaged, it features career-making performances by Al Pacino, James Caan, Talia Shire, Diane Keaton and Robert Duvall. This searing and brilliant masterpiece garnered ten Academy Award® nominations, and won three, including Best Picture.
Featuring: Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, John Cazale, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, Sterling Hayden, Richard Conte, Talia Shire, Al Lettieri

Basically unless you get to see a brand new recently restored print, it's not really worth seeing anything in a cinema; the experience is very ordinary and the quality is often less than stellar. True, I did see Part III when it came out but it was such an awful film that my mind couldn't really focus on any cinematic aspects.

I watched this movie in India years after it released in US. I was 12. I had no idea about American life back then but I loved this movie. Became a huge huge fan of Al Pacino! Have watched the movie again and again over the years! Greatest movie ever made!

Greatest movie ever made in the movie history. This movie changed my life after 2018. I can write thousands of words how, but most of the people won't believe the fact that, how a movie could change a persons life like this way. This movie changed everything for me. I was nothing. Dead. Destroyed. Then Godfather Vito & Michael Corleone came. And which eventually turned out to be a life changing "Canoli" for me, in every aspect. Forever grateful Godfather. 🎩

Anytime I'm flipping through the channels and I land on this movie - or the sequels, for that matter - doesn't matter what part of the movie it's at, I end up watching it. THAT'S the mark of a great movie.

Evan after being released on theaters 51 years ago, The Godfather will forever remain as one of the greatest films of all time. The writing, direction and screenplay was amazing. The performances by the cast (mainly Marlon Brando and Al Pacino) is very well done.
