Your style is mad funky! And I appreciate your diplomatic approach to the Move; you’re honest about its limitations, but you have a positive way of approaching it. Well done!
That's actually a really decent track you prepared in Move. Your stuff has gotten so much better over the years. It really makes people take more attention in your tutorial videos.
Great track man. Seriously, your productions sound so smooth and funky - I'm always impressed. I think this is one of the few videos I've seen that showcases Move being used along the lines of Ableton's intended usage. Get the core elements down on the Move, transfer to Live to complete it. I really don't know why a lot of people can't seem to wrap their head around the concept lol... Also, I like your attitude - its a limited device for sure, but instead of just bitching about what it can't do, you're taking full advantage of the awesome things it can do to make 🔥 🔥 🔥 Ableton should pay you haha - this video will "move" a lot of product for them! 😂
7:35 oh my God, in the darkness I thought I was seeing an Ableton keyboard! Imagine that, keys with a little Move attached for clip launching. I freaked out a little and I can't be the only one that saw that lol.
Clearly, there too many sampling and shops making devices on market. As you pointed there are synths on Move. I like it and as you shown, tweaking recording automation is real nice. Cheers!
Dope beat homie as usual. Yeah the Move is def coo, but if I didnt have Ableton Live already I'd probably buy it so I could 'finish' a song, maybe thats what they wanted 😂
Depends on what you need, they aren't very comparable. Push 3 is way more poweful but I don't need such a big and heavy standalone device, so I stayed with my Push 2 and bought a Move for its portability.
@ yah understandable, they def not comparable in most ways. i just kinda wonder workflow wise on push 3 as a controller vs move. for me, it kinda seems like move fits me more for the workflow. really like the random instruments being there when choosing new set like in note. i have a launchkey 49 mk4 so may be some redundancy there 🤷🏽♂️
@@randomVEL Push is much better as a controller as well but if you end up doing most of the stuff with the mouse and the keyboard anyway it's a bit redundant and Move does all you need. I think this was my conclusion in the video as well.
I think a lot of the hacks like the pseudo side chain filter add character. Sounds more organic when it’s not perfect. Same for slicing, I’ve noticed getting it close enough sounds great, instead of micro adjusting every start point while losing focus
Great work!! Sounds clean but super groovy! 🙌 I was pretty shocked to find out the Move doesn’t support Hold Pedal, PitchBend or any other CC! 🤯 It might be coming in the future, but sad to see it was not a priority for launch.
Thank you! Yeah, it seems the MIDI implementation is pretty barebones. I can't imagine that it's gonna stay like this forever, we need a firmware update to take care of this.
Positive workflows, excellent tracks. Gee...it's actually like you can make good tracks on the MOVE. What was Ableton thinking releasing something that can work this well? Don't you want go complain and criticize? 🙄 LOL Much respect for your efforts.
I returned it. No Simpler integration to use it as a controller with Live is too basic. And then when you use it standalone the "drum sampler" is cool for one shots and drums, but working with longer samples is not practical at all. Honestly if I use it with Live as a controller, I end up using the mouse and keyboard more. If its standalone, I need to use Live for everything that is missing... No point in getting the Move if you can get the Push 3 unless you NEED the speaker and mic.
Fair enough. The only point I disagree with is comparing it with Push 3 - even if you can justify the price, it's just too big and heavy, for me it didn't fit comfortably in my setup when I tried it.
@@LowHeatBeats I agree. Which is why I wanted the Move to be as capable as a Live controller as Push is with Live. But a lot is missing to the point its easier to do tasks with just the old mouse+keyboard.

Thanks man, really appreciate it!
You dropped some real heat 🔥 amazing groove, love it!
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Damn, the spatial image in the finished track sounds great! Well done!
Hey, glad you noticed!

Really enjoyed this video, thank you!

lol Ableton releasing keyboard would be a dream for me. But until then Novation have some pretty good keyboards that control Live really well.
Only one that’s making the move look good they better pay my man!!!!
lmaoo
Exactly I said the same thing

Bounce!!! Love the Track and the Over-shoulder on move.
Thank you!
You’re one of the first people I’ve really heard talk about moving stuff over to Live. Would you mind doing a Controller Mode video?
Not at all, I definitely plan to do that.
@@LowHeatBeatsawesome. I would also love to see Move used as an Ableton controller.
That beat is doooope, man! Just gotta think musically, with whatever tool we're using. Well done.
Thank you so much man!
Very inspiring work.
Thank you so much!
Good review, it's usefull!
Appreciate you watching it!
@@LowHeatBeats and the other too but I'm often silencious !:) I use Maschine mk3 and ableton too, so ...always interesting !;)
Awesome!
Thanks man!
Fire as usual! Love the optimistic approach and I bitching about this or that feature.
Appreciate you fam 🫡
Can we talk about that bassline? Holy shit. Needed to pause and rewind to watch you punch that in. Not low heat, straight fire.
Thank you so much!

Thank you, glad you're feelin' the beat! I think it's more for starting songs, than finishing them, it doesn't even have arrangement functionality.
@@LowHeatBeats Yep youre basically have to do mutes to arrange like old school way lol,
good sound, good beat.
Much appreciated!
mate that one is FI-RE 🔥

I wish you would come out play live in NYC
Thank you! Who knows, maybe some day...
Given all samplers you have ever used, what is your favorite for fun beat making? Not crazy detailed daw type beat making
I'd say Maschine.

maybe I missed something, but is it possible to change/adjusting the samples' start points after lazy chopping?
Yes, absolutely

Sounds good but to many sounds.
Glad you liked it. It's 13 tracks in total in the final track, I don't think it's too busy, but I appreciate the honest feedback.
For me it’s a joke -> move.
Not in 2024 .
You don’t like jokes? 😊
