Sautéed Asparagus & Mushrooms | Easy & Healthy Side Dish

  • 🌿Ingredients:
    1 bunch asparagus, washed, dried and sliced diagonally
    227 grams white  button mushrooms, sliced
    1 shallot, chopped
    3-4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
    1 red chilli, sliced
    1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
    Salt to taste
    1 tsp white pepper powder
    1 tsp dried oregano
    1 tbsp Sweet red chilli sauce
    1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
    👉Method:
    Pour some olive oil into a pan, once heated toss in the shallots and garlic and cook for a minute until fragrant. Then add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes on medium high until they change colour stirring continuously. Then add the sliced asparagus and give it all a good mix. Season with salt, white pepper, and oregano. Stir everything together until combined.
    Cook for 4 to 6 minutes stirring frequently to get everything cooked evenly. Then add the sliced red chillies along with the sweet red chilli sauce that will give this dish a lovely, sweet and spicy flavour. One last mix and it’s ready to serve.
    Transfer the vegetables to a serving bowl sprinkle with some toasted sesame seeds on top and serve alongside your favourite main dishes or on top of rice or pasta.
