This was one of the most uninspired, uninteresting albums I’ve ever listened to. There was nothing for me on this album. I can’t believe this and Donda are the highlight albums for 2 of the biggest names in hip hop to drop this year.
@@solacemoods4586 this true I am, his music is boring, uncreative and lackluster so yes I hate drake and his braindead music. Sorry I haven't had my period in order to listen to him
There’s no way the Feefo can like the same formula we heard for the last 12 years from Drake (albeit I think this album is cool). Still, in the Donda review, we heard contradictions of it sounding similar track by track and at the same time trying to sound like different eras of Kanye’s music. Whether we like it or not, Drake and Ye will ultimately have their albums compared to each other, but one of them sounded much more creative than the other.
25:30…. Kanye gave us 23 songs that sound nothing alike. there’s like 3 songs that sound different on CLB. Not to hate, both projects aren’t perfect but come on
That's the weirdest thing to me. I feel like I listened to a different album than they did. Donda was pretty varied, and CLB sounded like 1 continuous song to me. Idk.
This is a terrible take. Champagne poetry , fair trade, way 2 sexy , knife talk , race my mind , no friends in the industry are all different types of songs lmao
Yeah Idk what they were talking about with that take. Kanye has always been more creative and varied in sounds than Drake. Donda sounded way more creative, CLB sounded way too much like the same song.
One thing I will give Myke is that over time his disdain for certain Drake projects becomes more and more objective and less bias driven. With every project, he becomes more open minded with his takes. Growth is good for all involved.
I think myke is a "you are who you are it does me nothing for me to keep complaining about it" type person. He's accepted drake isn't a artist whose sound he'll fully embrace so it's no point dogging him out for it
Yea it’s a no for me dawg on this album (Randy Jackson voice). Drake is entirely too old to be making this type of music but what else can we expect from Drake at this point in his career? 🤷🏾♂️
21:50 I'm with Ken on this one. It bothers me when I'm discussing music and people start talking money and business. I don't care. Yeah, Drake is moving smart, but we're not analyzing image building or marketing or whatever. If we're judging music, keep it about the music.
Basically this album was Drake’s perpetual “Why can’t I find a great woman”, “I’m the greatest”, “I’m doubted”, “I’m envied” all that shit. Dude bring something interesting to the table
Dude doesn’t sound inspired or interested on this project at all unless he’s talking about Kanye. The production even sounds lazy and a lot of the features just seem forced. This album is a convoluted mess of the same old thing from a bored Drizzy. Super dope review. Appreciate the content fellas
I agree, this is some of the worst production I think I've ever heard on a drake project. Also, can someone explain to me why there seems to be a beat switch-up every 5 minutes lol.

You aren’t wrong at all. It’s comfort food. Even though I fall on the side of I like drake. Drake dosent change much lol. I wish he just made a straight rap album but that’ll never happen unfortunately.
Drake will never change because he has formula and he’s not that creative. Drake drops his albums like it’s call of duty. I repeat again he will never change at all.
Watch this review and then go back and watch the DONDA review and it will prove that everybody that were in disagreement of how they reviewed DONDA were all right. They did not treat that DONDA review with same sense of depth and analysis they do on their other reviews. Still love these guys but it was pretty obvious lol
Absolutely love DEHH and glad we got the review on this. Idk if it's just me, but while I generally agree with most of what they say on most of their reviews, when they're reviewing super-popular records, I feel like I end up disagreeing with them way more. Definitely true for Donda, but for CLB I strongly disagree with Feefo saying this one of Drake's best projects, or Feefo/Rod saying Way2Sexy was good. I think Fantano was spot on saying No Friends In The Industry sounds good sonically, but is just a joke given how many friends in the industry Drake has. Thought Fountains was one of the worse songs on the record, thought Get Along Better was the best Drake singing on the record and a great song, thought Fucking Fans was stupid, The Remorse was forgettable, etc. But I think overall agree with their sentiment, Drake keep doing this if it's getting you streams, but he's definitely not making high quality albums at this point in his career.
I haven’t watched these guys very much yet but it seems like they don’t really review the lyrical content especially in this video. Seems like they’re just checking to see if the hits take off and if it the beats are catchy enough.
@@marcosaguilar8504 Don't worry, definitely not usually the case for them, if you see them reviewing like, Lupe Fiasco's Drogas WAVE, they do an incredible job jumping into the lyrics. It's just with these uber popular albums that aren't usually in their standard lane of music I feel
Don’t agree with your take on no friends in the industry...what happens outside of the music has nothing to do with the quality of the music itself...it’s like if someone drops an album about killing and dealing drugs then says it’s complete fiction...that doesn’t affect the quality of the music...if you don’t like a song then critique the song without bringing in the artist’s personal life which has nothing to do with it
i know it just came out…but freddie’s freestyle over the champagne poetry beat was INCREDIBLE i kinda want him to pick the best beats from this album and rap over them
I am comfortable saying that this is not a bad album. In fact, this album is remarkably consistent with prior albums that many have considered good. I just realize that I no longer am interested in listening to a Drake album from track to track because it now seems that once you've heard one Drake album, you've heard them all.
he half assed that idea. side a wasn’t strictly rapping and side b wasn’t strictly rnb. that shit coulda been executed a lot better and in way less time too
@@lyleugleman9799 Scorpion is seriously a top 3 Drake album for me. If you cut that album down to 12-14 tracks, it's easily one of Drake's best albums + I liked the fact that he rapped a lot on side A. Straight up rapping! I would cut it down to this: 1. Survival 2. Nonstop 3. Emotionless 4. God's Plan 5. 8 Out Of 10 6. Mob Ties 7. Sandra's Rose 8. Talk Up 9. Jaded 10. Nice For What 11. In My Feelings 12. Don't Matter To Me 13. After Dark
Drake makes good music so I'll never feel one of his projects are trash... but this one just didnt do it for me. I usually play his albums on repeat for a few months but I'm already off it after a week for whatever reason... Idk what it is.. after the shock value of the diary raps (intro, 7AM & the remorse, no friends) just sounds like watered down versions of songs he has already done. JUST MY OPINION
Can't believe Fair Trade was only mentioned once in this whole review. That song and you only live twice are probably the only two tracks I will return to on this album
@@alejandroserrano7755 It was still one of the best tracks on the album though. i know this isnt saying much for a song on CLB, but still, both travis and drake delivered good performances.
The only two tracks I can see myself going back to are Love All and You Only Live Twice. Jay personally had my favorite verse on the album and it’s really the reason I return to Love All. Idk exactly what it is but lately everything that Jay has done has been hitting for me. Everything from Jay Elec’s album minus the Entrepreneur track from last year I’ve been a fan of, hoping he drops an album soon. Now I’m just waiting for WSG to drop part 2 of his album and for Kendrick to Drop.
When I found out the album title like months ago, I figured we’d hear songs similar to Marvin’s Room, Come thru or 305 to my city. This album just felt like a bunch of b-side cuts from a collab album he was working on… There’s no cohesion at all with any of these songs from CLB.
Somebody please remind drake is a 34 year old Canadian man with children. Talking about being a certified lover boy and being a lesbian like tf are you doing, man?
Another classic Drake review! This album is growing on me...I agree with Feefo, it's a more polished sound of what we've been hearing over the past 5-8 years. For those who want Drake to evolve or progress his sound, they will be disappointed. Overall, I think this album has some real keepers. I hate the cover art! Favs: Race My Mind, 7am in Bridle Path, Fair Trade, Champagne Poetry, and N 2 Deep
Feefo done lost his mind. This is easily my least favorite Drake project. Even Views (which I found to be painfully boring and mediocre) is a more enjoyable listen than CLB.
So if you found views “boring & mediocre” why would you go on & listen to his next 4 projects? ya’ll say every albums boring but listen to the next one.. like if this is your least favourite project but bet you listen to his next release.

It's been working for 10 years though. That's how a lot of artists keep their core fan base by not changing the formula too much, look at Curren$y he don't experiment too much and has a formula it's been working for him for over 10 yrs. And ppl love Kanye bc he's always been an extremely experimental artist I mean dude started off producing.
@@latanda96 That core fanbase argument doesn't cut it to me. Sure you'll loose some fans, but you will also gain some new fans. Currensy is a niche artist and i don't believe anyone views Currensy as one of the goat mcs. I think when it's all said a done an artist is judged by the body of their work (Classic albums). Drake albums have a playlist vibe to it. He has not put together a complete body of work imo.
Great review, people have to come to terms with the fact that Drake and his album are like an Apple iPhone release. It must serve the masses before anything else, whether you desire something different the music had to work across the board. Thanks
I heard this album once and not in full because it was that bad, Drake going to always play it safe and give you his fast food music because he knows his audience and knows no matter what he’s gonna do numbers
While I don't agree with Feefo, I will say for me this is his best album since 2015 and second best project counting More Life which was a playlist. I had high expectations for Drake to step outside of what he has been doing these recent years and first listen left me with massive disappointment. But running the album back multiple times made a new song get stuck in my head each time. I've been going back to 10 joints on this thing consistently. Not a great album but I would say it's pretty good with some catchy r&b tunes as well as dope rapping cuts. Typical Drake but he really does need to switch it up going forward, or at least go back to the massive r&b/pop hits he was doing earlier in his career like Find Your Love and Hold on, We're Going Home.
I listened to this album once and thought it was good, but nothing new. It's not a new experience for me and it's hard as someone who isn't a hardcore or casual fan of Drake to be served the same meal every single time. There are great songs on here but it's just hard to get into for me.
How does CLB not sound samey? It sounds like everything else he’s done in the past but worse. There’s better songs on his other projects that are similar to this. This is just a repeat Drake album that stays in the middle and doesn’t add anything sadly
Not gonna lie when it comea to Drake reviews. I come here to hear Myke C's review. Also glad you guys acknowledging Wayne's crazy feature run this year

@@tropical9913 all of those songs are awful, imo. Haha. I genuinely didn’t like 1 song on scorpion. Some were okay at best. Most were terrible. You only live twice, 7am, and knife talk are some of my new favorite drake songs. Gods plan is the only one off of scorpion that has any real staying power, even if I hated it. There are a few songs off CLB that will be played for years to come and considered drake bangers.
@@tropical9913 substance in nonstop? Where? Haha. I respect your opinion as well, but that song is the epitome of basic. I think that song is entirely lacking in substance. He’s not talking about anything, he’s mumbling some basic flexes over a basic beat. Literally anyone could’ve dropped that song. Sounds like he’s sleeping through the whole song. I’ve heard many, many freestyles w more substance. He literally isn’t talking about anything at all and doesn’t stay on topic for more than a few words in a row. I’m genuinely curious, what substance do you hear? Or were thinking of a different song? Nonstop is literally a song that would come to mind if someone asked me to name a song that has no substance whatsoever, haha.
They really need to explain that Donda review.
