His feats on any of his albums versus the songs with just him, there's a big difference. I think Drake needs to take a break like Hov did when he retired around '03, at the peak of his powers and as the man and just focus on adding more context to his life and give ppl the break they clearly need from his music coz as Charlamane said there's really no next level to where he's at now and so he'll get judged for being experimental with his sound(Views and More Life) and also be judged for supposedly keeping the same formula

CLB was a huge disappointment, the max score is a 4/10😬 1 brownie point added for the fact that he actually dropped it. The album was boring and I skipped about 17 songs 💀
Mostly every song on the album was trash I feel , but some songs might creep up and grow on me over time , drake songs have that effect but I don’t think none of these songs will do that , they were that trash

This is a non-review 🤣. But to me CLB just came across as shallow. Like read the room, bruh! We're all coming out of miserable lockdowns & most folks don't want to hear him rap about how much money & strippers he has, esp when he pushing 40 & has a son. Plus he calls his son a mistake, which is sad af. One reason Donda feels so powerful is its theme of loss is really relatable to most of us now
What was the line where he called his son a mistake? I HONESTLY couldn't get thru this album cuz of how BAD it was that I don't even know what song its on as well. Genuine question of mine though. Appreciate a response if you remember 🙏🏼

- summer jams (Passionfruit, Madiba Riddim, Blem, Fake Love)
- hip-hop club bangers (Portland, Gyalchester)
- laid back hip-hop (Sacrifices, Do Not Disturb)
- R&B songs (Teenage Fever, Get It Together)
And the production on all these songs was top quality too.
