My friend committed suicide recently because he was DF. They need to wake up and realize that they are destroying people's lives He told coworkers about how much it was hurting him... It's sad the family blames him for what he did, they don't know how much he loved them..I don't have the stomach to tell them what I know but the organization needs to fix these issues
Oh friend, I am so, so, so very sorry to hear that news. He was lucky to have a friend like you to speak up on his behalf. (And yes, the organization will let the family crumble to support the tower. It's unbelievable! ) Sending prayers & love your way 😔 -Falon
TY. This was the first that I’ve heard about the person and circumstances in more detail. A lot to unpack. And yes, the doctrine discourages seeking advice from outside the elders or watchtower. We grow up distrustful of everyone on the outside, even our teachers, or mental health professionals, or even an neighbor, or an uncle who isn’t a JW. How sad. There is no one to turn to but the ones who disfellowshipped you in the first place. And why high-control groups must be made illegal.
I was a JW for about 12 yrs. One of the families I was close to the mother was a JW and the dad wasn't but never challenged her about it so she was raising their children in it. One of their sons grew up, moved out and ditched the organization. He ended up committing self offing. I have always thought it was because he would not become a JW and got shunned by even his family. I went to the elders because my husband was beating me badly and tormenting our sons. They asked me what I was doing to tick him off. I sat there and thought "breathing???".
@@katyc.1969 Wow... that sounds exactly like the standard line of elder questioning... ( "Explain to us how this is your fault") I'm so very sorry you & your boys were betrayed that way! I hope you were able to find safety in other forms. Sending out love, thank you for watching! -Falon 😊

So where was Jehovah to protect those people? There weren’t any angels floating around? Maybe they were busy helping a car make it through a two inch mud puddle out in field service…smh
Like all members of religious cults, they see any kind of attack on themselves as proof that evil is trying to defeat them and it makes them see themselves as martys.
That is a universal question when things like this happen, "Where is Jehovah?" .. Maybe he's on the toilet. It's really sad to live with a false sense of security like this. Thousands of years of injustice and He's out to lunch. Just awful.😮💨
i appreciate your empathie. very sad, indeed. if people want to leave, they should just go. no need to discuss it with elders. i decided not to shun anyone i dont care what they do. if they brake the law, let the police shun them. i am no longer obeying this. i will make my comment in november during the wt study. i sent my friends to a psychologist. there is one in my congregation, some go to her but i would not even use one of us as a therapy. he shot at the members because of shunning i guess. Jehovah can protect His own reputation. I dont have to do it.
some of them cant mind their own business ,think they have a right to dictate your life ,The Bible says ,''We dont want you to Suffer as a busybody, meddling in other peoples business ''
Let's explain what it means to "leave on his own" as a Jehovah's Witness. You leave you ARE disfellowshipped and will lose all your friends and family because Jehovah's Witnesses does not allow close associations with anyone other than Jehovah's Witnesses. So that supposed brother was blowing smoke.

This has always befuddled my mind. If they dont believe in the workung and the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the present time they have no right no authority to formulate elders or judgement in any way now either and must submit to govt authorities only. Unless the anointed themselves come to each congregation and themselves deal with each issue it is not biblical. Where is discernment????

The notion that if you have enough faith, you will receive the help you need is just another form of victim blaming. Obviously, if you're not healed or rescued from your affliction, you are not relying on Jehovah enough. If you are not delivered from distress, apparently, you don't have the faith so it's on you. That makes you a double loser. You do not please Jehovah and you're not using sufficient faith, both of which indicate that no matter how devout and sincere you are, you do not qualify for a miracle. In other words, because of your shortcomings, it's obvious Jehovah has abandoned you. If he hadn't, you'd have received the answer to your prayer.
God said I will not leave you nor forsake or abandon you. We are to imitate Him and His love. How will anyone ever receive the blessing of bringing a lost sheep back if u may not speak to them?? Talk about twisting scripture.
It is so very sad that this doctrine keeps them from Jesus and Holy Spirit power. If you know Jesus and have personally witnessed the power u cant fall into this trap. 'Come to Me' - Jesus
I totally agree. Witness doctrine gives a very skewed sense of who/what the Holy Spirit is (in my personal opinion that is) so while they claim to have God's spirit, they're missing out on all the beauty, grace & peace truly contained within it. Very sad! 🥺 -Falon
I believe that the Watchtower Society's Governing Body should all be arrested for violating human rights by their unfair shunning policy. They should be forced to see videos of the true effects of shunning, like it or not. I don't really care about their so-called squeaky-clean image. It is all a façade to me. It is sad that the deadly shootings happened at that one Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Germany, but this is just one of the effects of the Watchtower Society's cruel, unjust shunning policy, which is backward and unscriptural. As for the Watchtower Society's methods of dealing with members who have emotional issues as a result of their wrongful practices, they are a debased joke, which would be funny if they did not result in suicide. Unfortunately, it's not funny. Thank you for pointing out the tragic consequences of the Watchtower Society's unjust shunning policy.
dont twist the scripture though. Jehovah promised perfect conditions and Jesus made the promise of a paradise regardless of our human conducts. Jehovah made the promise for all and God doesn´t lie. Jesus doesnt lie either.
