Nothing better than waking up with Kim and Jonna and knitting. What am I gonna do once I catch up on all the videos? Probably start all over again from the beginning! lol
Hello again from Beausejour,Manitoba Canada. We are still cold and covered with snow here so lots of time to knit. After my granny died in 2007. I received her knitting stash cuz I was the only one who knit like her even though she had 6 daughters. I found a panel of moss stitch in white and lime green stocking stitch baby blanket she had started in one of those yarn divider cases I had bought her from Michael’s in 2000. Even though her gauge was so much looser than mine I figured it out. Made 2 more panels and gave it to my 2nd son when he was born. My fave baby blanket ever. Even though I would never use the colour lime green . Lol
Oh. My. Goodness. This is amazing! My grandmother was holding an unfinished hand embroidered Christmas ornament when she passed and I finished it and it still hangs on my tree to this day. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! :) Kim
My grandmother always knit a blanket similar to the diagonal dishcloth and I have carried that torch forward. It is so durable that it can last through the stroller wheel rolling over it many times!
Beautiful baby blankets. I have knit blankets for my five grandkiddos. Right now I am knitting the Irish Lullaby baby blanket by Impeccable Knits, in a emerald green. Love knitting cables
Our knitting group has made a couple of blankets for members for their babies. We have chosen the Polygon Blanket both times. The motifs are great for everyone to knit one or a few and then they are collected and sewn together, then we share knitting the border. It’s a great collaborative projects for a group to do. I have made a few myself, as well. I’ve also made a Leafy Blanket, a Tulips and Rosebuds Baby Blanket and a Many Hearts Baby Blanket. I love your Guernsey Wrap modified Blanket, Kim and your baby blanket, Jonna. I’m enjoying your podcasts. Started from the beginning. I’ll get caught up soon. 👍🏼🧶
I started knitting baby blankets when I was 20, for a good friend who was having her first baby...and that started an avalanche of babies! These were ALL pre-Ravelry, so I don't think I have photos. I think I mostly knit baby blankets until the 2010's, and I was super excited to make up a pattern for my own baby, which was finally finished when he was about one. I made the mistake of knitting with very light fingering...and it took forever! But it wasn't until that time, really, that my knitting took off. All beautiful blankets, and I am in love with the wide moss stitch border!
Thank you. I got stalled on my one and only baby blanket but Kim encouraged me to just get it done! She's definitely got me beat in the baby blanket department. Such a lovely gift!!
I was asked by my college roommate to knit a bazaar baby sandal (she sent pattern when she asked me) when her last granddaughter was born. Of course, I would never say no so I knit it. But I also crocheted little white lacy booties. I said newborns should have proper booties. I also included a sweater in the package. She sent me close up photos of the baby’s feet wearing the booties. I framed the photos and it hangs in my craft room. It us a treasured memory.
thank you for all yor podcast ! I love knit baby blanket and I knit reversible point because its like well in all side !!!!! I make one for all the first baby . I make 10 !!!! in super wash merinos.
I crocheted blankets for my children and many friends. I'm knitting my first baby blanket right now for a friend of my daughter. I modified a pattern from Purl Soho - Easy Puzzle Blanket. I only had 3 colors and it called for 5 so I adjusted the size of the sections. This is a modification of their 4 Points Baby Blanket pattern which is also adorable.
I have a blanket I started in the 70s, still unfinished, and a couple of years ago, I remember throwing out an old knitting magazine from around that time. I went to try and finish the blanket but, the pattern was no longer in with the yarn and I bet I was knitting it from the magazine I had thrown out. It is a beautiful blanket, knitted in a leaf motif, like what Kim knitted. I downloaded that baby blanket leaf pattern you showed, hoping it'll help me pick up where I left off. It's acrylic yarn that I'm making it out of and it feels a little crunchy. --KateColors
I have lost so many knitting patterns over the years. Pre-Ravelry, of course. But that's why I now keep my notes in notebooks or in my Knitter's Planners. I hope the Leaf Baby Blanket pattern helps you get back on track! :) Kim
Queen Size!!! Wow! I have always wanted to knit adult sized blankets for my adult children to have in their homes, but I haven't gotten around to it. Maybe someday... :) Kim
There is something about baby blankets, I love knitting one for each baby for family, friends. Ive knitted just a little over 30 of them. My daughter has three knitted very special blankets that I knitted before she was born. I never repeat the pattern for another baby blanket, as the one I create is special to that baby.
I was watching this video and you showed the white baby blanket. Today I was putting aways some magazines and there was the pattern in Family Circle Knitting from 1996. What a surprise. I was going to send a picture but I don't know now.
Knitting back backwards (or purling back without turning the work) is a total came changer. It's easier if you tension the yarn with your left hand, but it's also possible for throwers. I did an entire all-over-lace sweater (in pieces) that way, and it was SO much easier to stay in the stitch pattern when working from the public side. I'm doing the same for cables at the moment, too. And sock heels are extra magic with this technique.
One of my first forays into making was a baby blanket for my son, who is now 37, done in broomstick lace. Yep, I used my broom handle and a crochet hook. He used it for a blanket and when he got to big he used it as a cuddle blanket. When he was to big for that i used to lay it over his pillow so he had the soft feel of it when he slept. He used to fiddle with the tasseled edges as he self soothed. My granson now uses it for his daycare blanket. Very heartwarming, for sure.
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Well, I think, now, you can get a really large knitting needle to do this with, but at the time we had moved and all I had was a removable handle from my broom! Mother of Invention, as we sometimes are forced to do!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna when covid hit, people lost their community and family. As a travel nurse, stress was overwhelming. The pod cast helps bring back normalcy. I really so appreciate what you do.
This was such a timely episode as I was knitting a baby blanket while watching! I currently have two baby blankets on the go; one for myself (my first baby) and one for a good friend who is due ~3 weeks before me. The blanket for my friend is the Petits Pens Baby Blanket by Espace Tricot and I'm knitting it in a plain white DK yarn. For my baby I'm knitting the Llyr Baby Blanket by Nat Raedwulf in Malabrigo Rios Cielo y Tierra colour way. I highly recommend checking out the Llyr blanket pattern, it is so beautiful and impactful; thick seed stitch border, no holes/lace work and a really unique stitch pattern. It would make an amazing gift. Loved this episode!
CONGRATULATIONS to you and your friend!!! And so wonderful that you are knitting the blankets. I will definitely check out the Llyr Baby Blanket. I'm always looking for new ideas. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! :) Kim
I make baby quilts for any babies, but for my four grandsons I knit them baby blankets as well. I used Caron Simply Soft yarn (acrylic, but wears well and is super soft) for each of them: one in turquoise, yellow and white stockinette stripes with garter borders, and one in light grey (Alex's Blanket, which I lined the back in flannel) for the two who did not find out the gender till birth; a light blue and an aqua blanket in the Old Shale pattern for the other two brothers to match their room. I've knit many more for family and friends, given with either a matching sweater or cap and booties. It depends on how close we are. ALL in machine washable yarn - learned the hard way a long time ago that new, harried mothers do not have the time or interest in hand washing. If you want them to be used, make them new- mother friendly!
Wow! Your friends and family are so blessed to receive so many hand made gifts from you. And yes, practically speaking, machine washable is definitely the best choice. But I am so drawn to the impractical yarns. Ugh. Haha! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! :) Kim
Thank you. It was a fun knit and turned out beautifully. I didn’t use a cable needle so it went fairly quickly. Next time though I’ll try to shoot for baby’s actual birthday!
So I'm still playing catch up. Haha! So I've only knit 3 of my 5 grandkids blankets so far. For a couple of reasons. One is that my mother has crocheted blankets for each of my grandkids when they were born, and my sister has made each of them quilts too. So they haven't needed any from me right at birth. The other reason is that I wait until the kids themselves have an opinion and a favorite color(s). So I've made blankets for the 7-yo, 5-yo, and almost 3-yo because they all have definite opinions on colors they like. 😆 They also knew I was making them for them and watched the progress being made. As a result, they absolutely LOVE their blankets and use them every night! The younger ones will get their blankets when they get old enough to have an opinion and be a part of the making process. 😊 My favorite pattern that I've used is the Habitation Throw by Helen Stewart. And I usually get one main color of fingering weight yarn to hold throughout and hold it together with fun scraps (in their chosen colors) to marl a fun and colorful scrappy blanket. They love that! And so do I! 😄
Beautiful blankets and stories! Maybe you make a litle tutorial on Baby bear bonnet ;) I have troubles with reading patern in decreacing, so now i have one ufo more and my nephew is growing ;D... You two are real inspiration! I am knitting now my second ranunculus ;)) in this year. Thank you! Blessings.
The hardest part about following a pattern is second-guessing. I often have to just trust the pattern and do what it says. But I will speak with Jonna about doing a tutorial. And I'm going to CO a Ranunculus today if I have time! :) Kim
Love the baby blankets. I can't tell you how many I have made in 21 years. I give each baby a blanket, hat, booties and sweater or dress. I at the moment have finished a baby boy hat and working on a pair of booties. Will do a sweater and blanket. Everything is in cotton yarn from hobbii. The blanket will be done in a heavier weight yarn.
Ladies...you are the BEST! Can't tell you how many patterns, yarns and ideas you have inspired me to try in my relatively short knitting career! You make me brave! Thank you for your genuine, delightfully generous spirit and show.
All your baby blankets are beautiful! I sewed a quilt for each of my 5 grandchildren but you’ve inspired me to knit one for any future baby gifts. Have you picked a 5000 subscriber winner yet? I did not see it on your community.
Baby blankets, I’ve knitted and crocheted some! I’ve given three away three thus far. I’ve made them a bigger size, so they can use it when the baby becomes a toddler as well! I’ve given a big baby crochet blanket made out of Bernat Baby Blanket yarn 3 years ago and found out last July, that the toddler uses it as his security blanket. So he’s going to have a little brother this May. So, I just finished crocheting another big one in the same yarn, different colors. I’ve also knitted the Gansey blanket a few years ago as well as Tumbling Blocks! I’ve tried knitting the Chevron Blanket but messed up a few times! So, I might revisit that someday. You gals knitted such lovely heirloom blankets! It is definitely a labor of love! Yay, I hate knitting them but the end results are so rewarding! I don’t knit or crochet for most people, only family and close acquaintances. For most people, I knit rompers, hats, booties, and cardigans. Congratulations on 5k subscribers, keep up the wonderful work! ❤️❤️
Dear May Joe, Wow! You are a very prolific knitter! And all of your family and close acquaintances are so blessed to have received so many hand knits from you. I have always wanted to knit even bigger blankets for my adult children to have and use in their homes, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe someday... Thank you so much for watching! :) Kim

Where can I find your show notes? I really enjoyed your last podcast about baby blankets. Always looking for new patterns. Now knitting for my kids friends babies as well as my own grand babies! Haha.
I know when you give something to someone it’s now theirs to do with what they want but when it’s something you made then it’s hard to see it not being used and appreciated. Kim and Jonna your baby blankets are gorgeous!
My daughters actually reminded me that part of not using the blankets is protecting them from the pets. I hadn't thought of that, but I would definitely be annoyed if the cat or dog chewed one of them up. Thanks for commenting and watching! :) Kim
Thanks for the baby blanket ideas! I’m expecting my 5th grandchild in August, so you gave me lots of food for thought! Love, love your Quimper pottery collection, too!
I just made that chevron baby blanket for my daughter! It was so much fun to knit. I was looking for the Simplicity Baby Blanket, but couldn’t find it. Can you help please? I really like it. Christine
Hi Safiya! I'm so happy you love the Chevron Baby Blanket as much as I do! And as for the Simplicity Baby Blanket, it was designed by an employee at Flying Fingers Yarn Shop in Tarrytown, NY. Maybe you can call them and ask? Or I can go in there and ask for you. But either way, please email me at KTogwKimandJonna@gmail.com so I can follow up. Otherwise, I may never find this comment again... ~Kim
Yes your body waited for the blanket!!!!! I really wanted a December baby and I went 8 days over. Every day my husband would say we’re having a baby today right? And I’d say no it’s not December yet. Her bday is 12/1/20!
I have made one baby blanket and it is the umaro pattern by Jarod Flood. It is a great pattern that can be knit adult or child or baby and in any weight of yarn. Thank you for your weekly podcasts they are a highlight to my week!! Maybe we can do a zoom knit together?!🤓
Hi Jan! I will definitely have to check out the Umaro pattern. I'm always looking for new ideas. And a Zoom Knit Together sounds like a great idea. I'll definitely talk to Jonna about it. :) Kim
I've done baby blankets for my 3 children and 2 grandchildren. I then crocheted my 3 children college blankets in their school colors. Your blankets are beautiful!
Just found your channel and love it! I have to knit the Simplicity blanket. I just have to! But I can't find the pattern anywhere...if it is no longer available, do you know of something similar? I can't believe I've had no luck on Ravelry or search engines. What is the world coming to? Lol
Are you from the US? Can you call Flying Fingers yarn shop in Tarrytown, NY and ask them? That's where I got the pattern and I think an employee there wrote it. Let me know if you need more help and I'll try to run over there and buy one for you. ~Kim
I’m half done with a baby blanket. It’s only been recently that I’ve branched out from baby blankets. I was a lazy knitter. Beautiful knits! Thanks for sharing your talents with us. 😊
Knitting baby blankets is NOT lazy!!! It is a labor of love and takes lots of time and care. And I'm sure it has helped you to hone your skills and prepared you to knit so many other things. :) Kim
I have made several baby blankets for friends and family. Some lasted longer than others but it is such a personal gift and always appreciated. I don't generally follow baby blanket patterns. I either make a smaller version of an adult blanket or design my own based on what I want to knit.
I love this episode! thank you for sharing all the beautiful baby blankets, we are welcoming our fist grandbaby this summer and I'm already have a baby blanket pattern!
Hello from France, Kim and Jonna ! I discovered your videos a couple of weeks ago and I enjoy them a lot. Today I noticed the nice collection of Quimper dish on the shelves behind Jonna ! I was born in Brittany and of course Quimper's porcelain is my favorite one. That's funny because at least 12 years ago I exhanged a couple of mails with the Rainey sisters who also have some nice Quimper dish that I saw on a picture of their blog. Continue to produce your videos, I like you 😉 -- Chantal, aka stamm92 on Ravelry
I have knitted with Mountain Colors since they opened. The minute you showed us the ball of yarn, I knew it was a Mountain Colors yarn.. My friend was knitting with a similar colorway when we met last night, Happy to see Mountain Colors across the country. Their home base is Corvallis, Montana. Most of the their colorway names are Montana related.
Pine Forest, Twinkle Twinkle, Basil and Heritage Blanket are some of my favorites. I think Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece is a perfect baby blanket yarn. It has wool for warmth but cotton for easy care. Twinkle is great for when you have some beautiful sock yarn laying around. Basil was the fanciest blanket I have made. I am sure it never got used but I enjoyed making it so much. I have all the details for these including photos on Rav, I’m mbknits. I love this topic, great choice!
Hi Kimberly, we normally do in our regular episodes Kim is wearing the Meadow Moon by Jen Steingass and I’m wearing the Felix pullover by Amy Christoffers. Hope this helps!
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna I really enjoyed your first sweater episode. I knitted The Weekender, however, the Felix and Jennifer's designs have been speaking to me. I love the concept of knitting her color work with a long changing yarn. Oh, the possibilities!!
Such a great array of baby blankets! I have so far knit about 4 baby blankets and one huge blanket with the Chevron Baby Blanket by Purl Soho - that is probably my favourite design. But there is an absolutely ingenius one - the latest one I knit about a year ago - and I will certainly make it again; Learn-to-Love-Steeks Baby Blanket by Purl Soho - check it out - it is steeked so you basically only knit and there is an ingenious facing for the steeks - so elegant! Kim, I cannot get over your Meadow Moon pullover - the subtle contrast and the blue colour! Have you specified what yarns you used in any of the previous podcasts?
Thank you! We have but here they are: Kim: Meadow Moon by Jennifer Steingass in Haynes House "I See Blue Dots" and Ito Kinu "Iron Blue" both held with Isager "Bright Blue" Silk Mohair. ravel.me/meadow-moon athayneshouseyarns.com athayneshouseyarns.com/search?q=Ito+yarns knitisager.com
Congratulations on 5,000 subscribers! I recently found your podcast and always look forward to the next one. Kim, your baby blankets are so beautiful and love the stories behind each one. My next project will have to be a baby blanket!
I think I’ve knit 11 baby blankets in the past few years but my favorite patterns to date are the baby shale blanket and umaro blanket, both by Brooklyn Tweed. Usually I try for some type of washable wool in DK or Worsted weight, so it goes a bit faster. 😉Thanks for sharing your blanket story.
I have knit several baby blankets - I love gifting them also - just fun to imagine it on the baby - who knows if they ever use it or not. Lately I have been knitting the Elizabeth Zimmerman Surprise baby sweater. Check it out - not on Ravelry - just google - it’s great fun - and again I often have no idea if the baby ever wears it but it’s great fun to knit. I love your video’s - as other say I feel like I’m sitting with friends when I watch you! Would love to meet you both some day!
Love the gorgeous baby blankets! I crocheted my first one using the "Baby Blanket" pattern by Alison LoBianco which is in a gorgeous shell pattern and probably used Bernat yarn. I loved this pattern and would probably make it again. Another baby blanket pattern I loved was the ABC Baby Blanket by Jenny Williams which I made in Blue Sky Fibers Organic Cotton Worsted.
The blankets are gorgeous! I've wanted to knit the chevron blanket from Espace Tricot for several years now. Just the other day I noticed the Little Tern blanket from Tin Can Knits and the Firelane 1 by Seth Richardson. The little bear hat is definitely going in my favorites on Ravelry. As for purling, Arne and Carlos just taught me how to Norwegian purl, but I think that technique may be better suited for ribbing. Knitting backwards is genius!
Hi Julie, You should definitely knit the Chevron Blanket and the Baby Bear Bonnet! And I'll have to check out the Little Tern blanket. Always looking for new ideas. Thank you for watching! :) Kim
What timing! I am knitting a baby blanket that I was commissioned to duplicate. It is a favorite blanket that had lots of use and lots of holes. The pattern is easy, but trying to find just the right shade of blue was difficult. I have knitted a lot of baby blankets and they usually take a lot of time.I like the blankets by Anne Hanson of Knitspot and I have made the Gramps blanket a few times. Knitting back backwards was a technique I learned when I was knitting a regular sized blanket with bulky yarn. Picking up the blanket to turn it each time I got to the end was just too much! I would have to figure it out and practice it before I could do that again. I don't remember changing hands to knit it, though. I believe I kept my yarn tensioned in the same hand. I just recently found a podcast called the Kitting Man and he has some gorgeous baby blankets. His first and second podcast is full of them. All the blankets are a labor of love! Thank you for sharing yours and the thought put into each of them. Thumbs up!
Baby blankets definitely take a lot of time, so I don't love to knit them, but I do love to gift them. I've always wanted to knit each of my children a full size blanket to have in their homes, but haven't been motivated enough yet. Haha! And I've never tried knitting backwards. Have no idea how to do it, but definitely want to learn how. And I will definitely check out the Knitting Man and his baby blankets. Always looking for new ideas. Thanks for watching! :) Kim
Two baby blankets that I loved making are www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/scarletts-reversible-cable-baby-blanket and www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hachi-blanket
Thank you! I usually make fingering weight to wear with shoes. I’ve made one pair holding fingering double, however I really want to make a pair of true DK weight socks. I also saw a new (free) pattern on Ravelry for a strand of fingering + mohair. would love to try those. I’m really interested in using more natural sock yarn, without nylon or super wash treatment. I recently bought some Mondim to try. Do you have a good DK sock pattern? Thanks for watching!
I absolutely luv your blankets! Wow a lot of work to knit that many! I have crocheted at least 10 blankets but have never knit one, probably because crochet is sooo much faster. I do want to make a knitted baby blanket tho, so maybe I will check out your blanket patterns. Congrats on your milestone of subscribers! Sending love from Canada ❤️
Hi Charlene, My mom is the crocheter. For every baby blanket I've knitted for my grandchildren, she has crocheted one. So they always receive 2 hand made baby blankets. :) Thank you so much for watching! ~Kim
I love giving baby blankets but lately people in my life who have been having babies have had doctors tell them not to use blankets for young babies. The new mothers will still use small blankets for the car seat - but somehow that doesn’t seem to scream “heritage blanket”. I do really love Berroco yarns for baby blankets because of the easy care of the blanket as well as the reasonable price. Salam wa sa’aadah
I know my daughters didn't use blankets for sleeping babies either. They use those blanket sleep sacks. I agree, I think blankets are better for older ones and for strollers and carseats like you mentioned. Also, for floor time! Berroco is a great choice! Lots of nice wool + superwash options + colors.
Oh my gosh - knitting across with your left hand. That is genius! Thanks for the rabbit hole to check out later today. I just stumbled across your podcast and I am so glad I did. Thanks for sharing!
I taught myself to knit back several years ago. It is such a convenient skill. You will want to swatch using it, though, because it can change your gauge. Beautiful baby blankets. I have to start one for my great granddaughter who will be born in August. You made me want to cast it on this minute.
I loved seeing all the knitted blankets. I crochet all my blankets. I will have to try to knit one. You two didn't tell us what sweater you were wearing. I love the pattern Kim. Rachelle in Seattle
We usually don't talk about what we're wearing in our Minisodes, but the information is always in the show notes. In this video, Kim is wearing the Meadow Moon by Jennifer Steingass and Jonna is wearing the Felix Pullover by Amy Christoffers. Thank you for watching! :) K&J
Hi, I really love your podcast, and your friendship. Now I'm going to say something about your intro that makes me fast forward through it with my eyes closed. I hate that I have a criticism, but it hurts me so much when podcasters do this. Please know I love the show and just close my eyes and fast forward until you start talking. I personally, probably most people love this, but I personally don't like seeing all the projects you're going to chat about in the intro. I know. I know. Don't be mad. Oh, alright, you can be mad. I understand. To me it feels like you're giving away the show. I want to hear about the objects and then see the pictures. You could show the pictures a million times while you chat about them, and of course at the end. There, I feel better now that I've gotten that off my chest. It is of course your show, and I know it will not change. I will continue to watch and speed through the intro with my eyes closed.
Hi Jan! We are definitely not mad. Haha! Promise. We love the feedback. We are discussing shortening the intro and using more general pics of our knitting adventures. Kim has wondered about this for a while, and Jonna saw your comment and agreed. We are always open to suggestions, especially from our loyal viewers like you. So thank you so much! You have contributed to making our channel and videos even better. :) K&J
I love your podcast, but Kim do you realize how it is all you talking! Jonna has so much to offer and is so knowledgeable but doesn’t get a chance in most videos. Let her have some time please.
Hi Lorraine! I do realize that I talked most, especially in this video, as I am the one who has knitted a lot of baby blankets, but I didn't realize that I do it in "most" videos. I will definitely try to be more mindful. But thank you for watching anyway! :) Kim
Thanks, feels so close with the experience of making Baby Blankets!
Just so precious as gifts!
Love all the baby blankets. Milk yarn is fabulous for baby stuff!
Looks like it’s mountain colors twizzle yarn! Loved that yarn!

I was watching this video and you showed the white baby blanket. Today I was putting aways some magazines and there was the pattern in Family Circle Knitting from 1996. What a surprise. I was going to send a picture but I don't know now.
Cool! You can send it to ktogwkimandjonna@gmail.com. Thank you!
I definitely have to learn how to do that. Bucket list skill for 2022. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! :) Kim
What in the world is broomstick lace? Using a broom handle? I'm definitely going to have to look that up. Wow! Thank you for watching! :) Kim
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Well, I think, now, you can get a really large knitting needle to do this with, but at the time we had moved and all I had was a removable handle from my broom! Mother of Invention, as we sometimes are forced to do!
Girls, you two are amazing. I love the conversation.
Thank you SO much! Glad you enjoyed it.
:) Kim
Love all the baby set and blanklet
:) Kim
Stunning, I love the Cuddle Me
Thank you. It was a fun knit and turned out beautifully. I didn’t use a cable needle so it went fairly quickly. Next time though I’ll try to shoot for baby’s actual birthday!
I knit back and forth. Easy if you are left handed and already hold your yarn in your left hand.
Ugh. I'm knitting a baby blanket now. Hate how long it takes but it certainly is an easy knit while watching podcasts, netflix.
Thanks for sharing
Yay for baby blankets and other baby knits! Your friends and family are very blessed to have you knitting for them. ~Kim
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna thank you.
Ladies...you are the BEST! Can't tell you how many patterns, yarns and ideas you have inspired me to try in my relatively short knitting career! You make me brave! Thank you for your genuine, delightfully generous spirit and show.
just great to watch
Blankets are beautiful and I need that flower pattern.
All your baby blankets are beautiful! I sewed a quilt for each of my 5 grandchildren but you’ve inspired me to knit one for any future baby gifts. Have you picked a 5000 subscriber winner yet? I did not see it on your community.
We just posted the winner this morning! :) K&J
Dear May Joe,
Wow!
:) Kim
Love the blankets! I like crocheting baby blankets for friends/family. I’m working on one now for my great-nephew. I love your sweater Kim!

I am knitting my grandson a baby blanket out of Scheepjes Stone Washed. It holds up amazingly and can be washed!!!
Have you watched the Happy Knitting podcast? Julia made a baby blanket using that yarn, I believe. It was lovely! Jonna
Guernsey is actually a place. It is an island in the English channel between England and France.
I read that book, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society! The movie boasted some spectacular scenery. Thank you !
Where can I find your show notes? I really enjoyed your last podcast about baby blankets. Always looking for new patterns. Now knitting for my kids friends babies as well as my own grand babies! Haha.
Directly under each video is a "Description" box. You usually have to click a tiny arrow to reveal it. ~Kim
Always a pleasure spending time with you two beauties! ❤️❤️
I love seeing all the blankets you have knitted. Such a variety.
I am so glad I found you girls to watch! You do a great job and I always feel like I’ve been sitting with friends knitting!
My daughter married in September and hoping to have a baby. I am thinking of starting a grandma knit box. Thanks for all the inspiration
A grandma knit box. What a lovely idea! :) K&J
Congratulations! Grandbabies are THE BEST!!! :) K&J
Continue to produce your videos, I like you 😉
-- Chantal, aka stamm92 on Ravelry
The Quimper has been in my family for a long while. I keep adding to the collection when I see something nice. Thank you for the sweet note! Jonna
What a lot of nice baby blankets!👍 I have just knitted Terracotta Dreams for my newborn grandson👶
I love all your gorgeous blankets . I also love your podcast . I look forward to watch all your beautiful projects 🥰
Going to look right now!
Have just discovered you two...what great sharing! Ladies, would you share what sweater patterns you are wearing?
What a great idea for the Steeks baby blanked
Thank you!

We would love to meet you too! And I'll definitely check out the Surprise baby sweater. :) Kim
I love your videos!!! And I so appreciate and love that you always add bloopers each week 🤣… they always make me smile!
Hi Julie,
You should definitely knit the Chevron Blanket and the Baby Bear Bonnet! And I'll have to check out the Little Tern blanket. Always looking for new ideas. Thank you for watching! :) Kim
Beautiful blanket’s ♥️♥️♥️♥️
So many great blankets! Really great patterns too! I made a TLC yarn crafts gingham Tunisian that turned out amazing!
Love all of the baby blankets!! I’ve also knitted the chevron baby blanket for my oldest daughter, it’s still my favorite baby blanket I’ve ever made.
I know, right? I love the Chevron Baby Blanket SO MUCH!!! :) Kim
Another great video. I am always looking for ideas to knit and you do a good job of inspiring me.
So funny, I am knitting a baby blanket as I watch this! Pure coincidence….
I generally crochet baby blankets, just because it is faster. But I have to say that your knitted blankets are beautiful.
HI Kim and Jonna. Beautiful blankets! I was wondering what kind of socks that Jonna likes to knit and wear most-fingering weight or DK weight? Thanks!
Always look forward to Fridays!!!
Hi Charlene,
My mom is the crocheter. For every baby blanket I've knitted for my grandchildren, she has crocheted one. So they always receive 2 hand made baby blankets. :) Thank you so much for watching! ~Kim
The baby blankets are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing, 😊
love all the blankets -- its so beautiful to gift a baby something for themselves and knitted.
PS There is no community tab if the videos are watched on an iPad.
Thank you for mentioning!
:) Kim
Always look forward to Fridays!!
