You can almost see the relief in Steve's body language when the hard thinking stops and the simple bricklaying skills take over - talk about 'muscle memory'! Having said that, 'brick laying skills' are NOT simple, it's just that Steve and Alex make it look that way! Al, great job tidying up after the other fella who makes the mess! Another good job guys, thanks for the upload Steve.
Its great watching a father and son team work so well together, back in the late 70's when I used to work with my mate as a young lad with his father in the building game it was a proper crack with all the banter but they always used to argue, but learnt a lot and had some proper laughs though, as from time to time some pretty hilarious things happened that only someone else in the game would believe lol
With all that you've found so far it makes you wonder what hidden 'gems' are yet to be discovered with the long wall of the garage/extension. Steve & Alex, fixing the UK one 🧱at a time 🤣👍
Good to see you both talking and working things out. Great to see master builders at work....I could even hear the cogs whirring at times! 👍 Superb attention to detail. The broom handle pointer came in handy at the end.
Some jobs are cursed from day one till you finish. I've Had jobs where every compression fitting leaks , solder joints have to be re done , pipes cut too short when bending . For no reason . Then more complicated jobs using the exact same materials you fly through with no problems. All you can do is what you're doing plod on and fix faults as you come across them youz are doing brilliant. Mitch (ex St Helens. Now Galway 🇮🇪
2 nice old chimney pots and a lot of hard work for you two keep well keep safe, when I look at those two wooden lintels I think nice logs for the fire, but be careful of that asbestos on the garage roof thanks for the video.
Watch as much of your videos as possible as they are great, love how both of you work together problem solving as you go and the quality of your work every time. If I ever needed a builder you two would be on the top of my list brilliant guys
From someone not in the trade love watching what you do , if the pillar on the right side of garage door had been rebuilt it would have finished of the work a lot better ,i suppose its about cost,look forward to next episode
Thanks Steve & Alex 😀 it’s a shame you don’t have a set of plans for the job made up for you by the owners. I thought you were going into hospital to have your hips sorted Steve ? Always a pleasure to watch you both work and give people like me an insight into the planning and working out how the job should be done. Keep smiling Tom. 😃😃
Back in the days when you " served time " and did an apprenticeship , cowboys were thin on the ground - but now they're everywhere as Steve & Alex know too well. Recently visited York Minster which was built without any form of modern high tech , laser, plug in tools etc. and marvel at the skills they must have had all that time ago.
Instead of "It's always a drama with Steve & Alex" how about for the side of your van.. "Steve & Alex, increasing rateable values all over Ormskirk".. how does that sound boys.?. another great one.. 👍🏴
This has to be a shit job for you two, you've managed to make a silk purse out of a sows earhole. Well done to the pair of you, really enjoy watching your videos , curious to see this when it's all finished . Thanks for posting from Garry in barnsley, the centre of gods country lol
Blimey this building looks like it's in a war-torn part of the world and certainly a challenge. if asylum seekers see some of these homes, they may not be in such a rush to come here. I'm surprised high profile RUclipsrs like you two don't pass on some of these jobs. Or is it your way of showing subscribers the variety of the real world challenges Bricklayers face. Amazing to see how you can turn things round and make everything look better. Well done to you both.
Still waiting for your hip Steve, i know the feeling well, I have prostate cancer and they have delayed by radiotherapy so im still on the hormone blockers, meat and 2 veg, shrinking like hell lol, im turning into a woman lol good job im 70 and couldnt give a shit eh , from Gazza in Barnsley
Great video as usual from you two. A question if you don't mind. When you go in for your op Steve, what's happening with the business and your income? I guess It'll be a while until you are fit enough to continue with your workload. I'm sure there's an army of builders and your website followers out there, in the areas that you work, who could lend a hand while you're laid up. Just a thought. Take care . 😀📈🍺🛀

Any tomato’s growing in the roof garden? I saw the ties getting installed 👏👏👏👏
It was grim mark 😒.
Well spotted 🤓😆🧱👍🏽
Hi guys, another good looking job but can I ask why they are stepped at the top rather than cutting the bricks so they slope?
No roof to cut it to yet . No plans 😆🧱👍🏽
A lot better than it was. I wouldn't be happy working next to that roof though, my pet hate is azzy, horrible bloody stuff
🧱😬👍🏽
Thanks
Thanks very much pal 🙏🏽😁🧱👍🏽
Love watching you remove the work of "Bodgit & Scarper" builders limited and replace with proper tradesman quality work :-)

Bit worried to be honest no money for 6 weeks minimum 😔🧱👍🏽
Christ that's not good. It's bad enough worrying about getting yourself better without having no money for six weeks. 😒😒
@kprice9004 . It’s a real worry 😔🧱👍🏽
Out of curiosity does the channel decide how many adverts the viewer watches? the running count for me was 14 of them during this video.
No we dont choose. 14 !! 😬🫣🧱👍🏽
Shows your popular i would’ve thought 👍
@gorgen23 Thanks ! 😁🤜🏽🤛🏽🧱👍🏽
