@@SteveAndAlexBuild yer 250 quid for it to sit there all day while you dug the hole out great. some people have never dug round utility and dont know what they are talking about.

Cheers mates
Hi Steve & Alex. Well done guys. I would filled the hole back in and said it can’t be done. But as always you two get it done. I could see it was hard and stressful. Alex what super star you getting in there and getting done. Taking the strain off your dad. Great father and son team. Looking forward to the next one guys. 👍
Great work lads, that looked painful Steve, hoping your Op happens soon for you, keep the content coming, Alex to the rescue in that trnch👍 Regards Russ..
It won't be a problem rodding or jetting the branch on the Y. A jet line can be made to go up it with the right head on or if you use plastic rods they can be bent as their pushed in and sent up the Y.
And we would not let a worker get into a trench with unrevetted sides higher than his head when he is crouching in the trench. Too many men have died from that type of stunt.
Back-breaking work lads, well done. I'm doing a French Drain in a few weeks and I just hope there are no services to hamper me...wishful thinking. Thanks again.
Brilliant work and great video as always!! Definitely the start of a big project. Have you got a date for your operation yet Steve? Hope all is well, take care of yourselves
Well, that was a struggle! But as usual, you've ended up with a neat job. As you say, having a Y joint under the house isn't ideal but at least the main pipe carrying the toilets is roddable. I bet the dig for the foundation and other drain diversion was pretty grim as well. Not to mention bridging over the new sewer and services! You really must want that porch! Sorry to hear about the further delay on your hip operation.
Quote of the day. “If we hadn’t left this for two weeks we would have had it done by now” No sh1t Sherlock. That did make me smile. Nothing worse that doing your own stuff you don’t get paid for. But will be worth it when it’s done and you can laugh about it. 😅

is this your house Steve I have plenty of friends who are either in the building trade and decorators and never have time to do their own, thanks for the video.
The water meter is in a strange location, they are usually at the boundary where the footpath is or where the water pipe enters the house. If there is a stop tap in the footpath I would have been tempted to resite the meter further back in the grass. By the way their is SDS drill attachment you can buy to chamfer the waste pipes, I seen it on another youtube channel. Great work though.
Good lord Steve you do pick them. Thank goodness for Alex (the Bulldozer) remember he is a lot more flexible than you Steve. The only thing is there is no travelling to the job! Stay safe you two, All my best regards Ken.
Only problem the customer going have now if any of them 2 lines block you can only access one of them from the inspection chamber that's why the chamber was in that position so both line could be jetted or cctv'd
They can always take the toilet out and rod from inside....... Had to do that before because them slim manholes are a nightmare to get the rods down and around the tight bend up upe pipe 😖
I don't want to put a dampener on the job but if them are two soil pipes they should have stayed separate believe me when you split the soil pipes into one the chances are they will constantly block I've seen it time and time again but if they ain't soil pipes my apologies

@@SteveAndAlexBuild don't kick it before you try it :-). I realise the dirt was falling in off the sides, but you could put sheets of plywood to shore the sides up while digging and you'd be surprised how little water the pressure washer uses.
