they're trying to make this game as noob friendly as possible but need a scientist to figure out the aim settings lol
i guess its hard to understand but the controls don't feel great without this
i play gears 5 and they've done the same bs
@Esse Jesse Lol same but if they really want to make it noob friendly they have to remove halo 3 players XD
@@Jaxonstek No please I wanna play Infinite. I won't farm the noobs, I promise! Please!
@@rastislavvassilev8157 You’re too late… I’ve already got on your account and banned you from playing halo
it’s actually crazy how much better the game feels on controller once you change 343’s default settings lol, thank you for helping explain each option! the controls and my aiming feel much smoother!
God bless you for this. They need to include a visual representing your input in the settings menu.
Or just fix the settings
We should just comment this to 343 and let them know we don’t like this system. Im sure many people feel like their sensitivity is slower than previous games.
I agree, they need to give us a modern aiming option like in mcc, witch is something im definitely gonna give aa feedback. The game itself however is very fun.
im still trying to find my sens after its release lmfao. my sensitivity is the only thing holding me back from playing alot better than i should and its annoying
exactly what i was looking for! Aiming feels a bit weird to me and i was constantly trying to adjust these deadzones because I never truly knew what some of these meant. Going to give these tips a try. Thanks a lot bro I just subbed!
Glad it helped!
Ok this man must be a god at minute aiming movements. This is like as responsive and quick as you can get, holy heck
Biggest thing about move Center dead zone is that if your value is just below what causes drift, for me it’s 9.5, the reticle will auto follow when red aim reticle is engaged. This helps your accuracy tons. If you’re at highest value for move Center dead zone the reticle doesn’t “stick” to the target.
When did fps games sensitivity settings make aiming so bad on default? I've been playing fps games damn near my whole life most games are fine on default but games like doom eternal and halo in general have wonky aim.
Hmm reminds me of of the time I decided to learn learn alc settings in apex lol. I'm glad you can customize it like this, that means you can really create settings that give you the mind body connection feel lol. Definitely going to spend many hours tweaking can't wait.
So sorely needed, you’re doing the lawd’s work. God bless you
Thank you for this very well explained video. I don’t use 10 10 but 5 5 sense and it feels so much better
This is exactly what I was thinking but I’m so trying to achieve smooth snappy aim. Will try this
Update: it still feels like a** I’m in pain. @343 save us all
@@needmango something is fucked with the aiming bro. I'm on controller and it's just off, it feels icey is the only way I can explain it and several other people have mentioned it
Put axial to 4 trust me
BRO. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I know how to adjust a few of them well, but the others, I'm so lost. You're the best. So grateful
Needed this. Only video that actually explained what these settings are in depth
This is amazing advice thanks man! I usually understand settings quite well but I was thrown for a loop when I couldn’t make aim acceleration 0 but setting it to 5 does exactly what I want. I hate aim acceleration it messes up consistency so I’m glad I can make it the same speed all the time now and honestly I’m glad they didn’t include 0 as a setting as 5 at 10/10 sensitivity is really good. Still wish you could go higher though.
This is so in depth and awesome, thank you!
Hey guys! Glad the video has helped. I stream on Twitch Mon-Thur 8pm - 9:30pm cst if you have any questions! Twitch.tv/Trypal
This was easily the best video I’ve watched so long and you explained everything in great detail.
Awesome video. I liked it for you. Do you think fov effects aim assist?
I think you might have max input threshold mixed up. I thought it was the higher it is for example 15 the shorter the line is and the lower it is the more space you have and the line is longer so you have to push it towards the rim to get the max input. Please correct me if I’m wrong because I’m literally dieing trying to find my perfect sense lol.
@@lizardon7096 I just tested it and I think you're right. the higher number meant it moved at max speed closer to the center. Which I prefer since I use dual zone in overwatch.
@@lizardon7096 same same youre right tho
My man out here saving lives! Super informative and to the point. Great video.
That thumbnail with the circle and lines going through it and master chief being in the bottom tricked me for a second
Thank goodness, I was so afraid that this was gonna be the one Halo game I was gonna be bad at, but after playing with the settings I think I got it
Id like to point out you made mistake on acceleration.
Look acceleration is not present until your analog reaches its max input threshold which you can also change. Changing its value simply changes how fast you go from max base sensitivity to max accelerated sensitivity once acceleration is triggered by passing look input threshold.
I was going to say the same thing. Nice catch.
I think your max input threshold is actually reversed to what you have there in your pic. It says in the description the higher this is the less slow turn you will get.
I tried it and it gives it more of a balance shot but I’m not out BR’ing anyone .
Correct. The higher the max input threshold, the closer to the center your input threshold line is
actual life saver, guess im a 10 sens gamer now
@trypal Your the man for this. Biggest issue in this game right now. Yes, its just a beta and I'm sure they will optimize on their end for the final build however I still want to own noobs in BTB today lol. thanks again
So good!!
I’m glad I’m not the only one that plays max sens, I’m a linear player from other shooters and I knew default sens felt wayyy TOO slow and I’m so used instant analog stick movement that I can’t track properly with delayed stick movement, so thanks for this video breakdown. For sure best sens guide.
If you’re playing 10-10-5 your crazy
Hes a maniac, i play on fast sens on halo mcc and the default on infinite felt like double the 10 sens of halo 3..
Now this was a big brain video idea
thank you so much! Been playing m/kb instead bcs controller felt terrible, you saved me :')
I absolutely LOVE that this video exists but equally HATE that I had to look up a video to explain controller settings.
Wowwww, I should have looked up this stuff before I started, I found a good comfortable sens for my play style and now it’s feeling better and more comfortable
this video was very helpful.
Thx for the video aiming in this game felt weird
Thanks for making this vid, changed the settings and def made it better
Your old magnum tutorial was a gift from god. Halo infinite magnum tutorial coming?
You may have fixed half the players problems on the halo reddit haha . Credit for putting out this vid , I wasn’t too far off figuring out myself but the assurance in the video helped a lot 👍
look ACC 3, Horiz 3, vert 2.5, fov 120, weap offset. horiz +100% , vert -100% depth +100%. Im on a 2k 27inch monitor. This gives me best weapon control .
Very helpful video, settings were kinda confusing
Bro THANK YOU, every video I see explaining how these values work, everyone says a low sensitivity is better. I thought I was crazy NEEDING it to be maxed out.
Awesome video my dude keep it up ☺️
Axial dead zones where in all halo titles before radial dead zones came in. I agree having all these options is a bit much, they should just do a better job with default settings, but axial zones exist to create what is essentially guide rails when u are aiming up and down or side to side, allowing for easy straight line movement within the zone boundaries, so if you are in a strafe battle your cross hairs stay in the side to side head level range easier without slight up and down movements. the down side is it creates a box shaped dead zone in the middle which is larger in the diagonals making those movement feel a bit slower
I will have to try your suggestion on maxing look acceleration To be more 1:1 with my sensitivity. i was thinking it worked a bit diff, as if starting at base sensitivity, then moving up to that faster outer ring (max input threshold) of speed that is usually even faster than the setting allowing for faster spin speeds all halos had when holding the stick all the way left or right
Thank you dude
This really helped don't what I am doing but I do see the difference. Thanks
Thank you this fixed a lot the game
Thanks bro
Well, the vertical is slower than the horizontal at the same numbers. So the vertical needs to be like 1.5-2.5 higher than horizontal so they are even.
Very common misconception
Right? I thought so and its really weird when you're doing aim circles to get a feel for your sens
I also agree with this. Vertical covers only 180 degrees, horizontal covers 360. I’m going to go get a sentinel beam and shoot a wall and adjust my sensitivity until I get a circle.
This made my controls sooooo much better
The aiming feels really weird and I’m just adjusting things hoping I’ll get better. Thanks man for the video. I hate all these settings I wish it was the look sensitive stranded setting.
thank your thank you thank you
Thanks bro this is genius
Thank you bro!!
Thank you thank you thank you!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!
Your video was sorely needed, well done man. Thank you :)
I personally play with 2 look acceleration, 7.5 horizontal sensitivity, and 2.5 vertical sensitivity.
It sounds crazy, but it helps me to spin around quickly and aim up/down precisely, which helps me get headshots as long as I'm not jumping over an enemy, or being jumped over. And it REALLY helps with melee
Thanks man God bless
Great job. Thank you
I still think they need to include aim response curve types. Linear would most likely make the game feel more smooth and aiming incredible.
Fr
thats my only problem. i wanna use dynamic from warzone and my life will become so much easier.
Seriously. Right now max speed and fine aim are so massively different it makes the entire experience jumpy or slow. We really need an option to change the response curve so that it lines up more smoothly with the maximum speed. Right now its just awful. Don't know who thought it was a good idea to leave it the way it is.
But your Circular movements won’t be more consistent because the way halo infinite has the Y-axis is actually slower then the X-axis so if you have both on 10 the vertical movement will be a little bit slower then your horizontal movement
And idea how the y axis is scaled to the x-axis?
@@HaloDieHard no I just know if u test out moving left to right you will see it’s faster than moving from up to down I started noticing this because you know how when someone is in front of you and they already beat you to the punch on getting the first shots off on you u start throwing Grenades at the ground at your feet so it hits the ground and blows up right in front of them I noticed trying to quickly look down to do this was way slower then I liked it to be especially when i had my sensitivity on 10 for both when I was aiming it felt fast but then when I would try and look down or up really fast it’s just slower m
Thank you so much 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 btw does anyone know if there’s a vid like this for apex settings? Because those are complicated too lol
Great explanation
FINALLY !!! THX !
Works a treat. Thanks for the Vid
As soon as I zoom in my accuracy goes out of the window, should I change the pistol sensitivity to lower
The pistol isn’t made for across map kills
It’s a medium/up close weapon only…
Don’t zoom at all
GREAT breakdown! I had figured out most of these myself, but zeroing the Axial helped improve the feel of the aim a bit.
I think a big problem is that aim assist is WAY too magnetic near enemies, to the point where it literally stops you from making minor adjustments / tracking a target. Some inputs don't get registered at all. It makes the already sluggish aim feel even worse and I think it's the reason alot of people are saying there's input lag.
Extremely frustrating and I can never get my aim to do what I want it to, close range pistol fights showcase how bad the aim magnetism problem is. Hopefully they do a lot of tweaks before launch, really wanna see Infinite do well.
Yes the aim assist is baddd. I was shooting someone and was one shot away from killing them when their teammate ran by and aim assist move my reticle on its own away from who I wanted to kill smh
You basically have all of my same exact sens settings, but instead of 8.0 Move Center Deadzone n' 3.0 Look Center Deadzone I have them set to 0.5 I recommend getting down to that level for at least the look center Deadzone Because wether there's drift or not it's easily controllable depending on if your controller isn't broken or something. If you go down to 0.0 you're always going to be drifting 24/7 and it's honestly not worth going down the irritating constantly not staying still path that gets more n' more uncontrollable as it slowly makes you lose your sanity. I have no idea on how there are people that are able to even play on a non-existent Deadzone.
I can’t thank you enough for explaining why it felt so off.
Now I can finally blame my losses on my overall skill instead of this.
Same 😭
You are awesome! I've never seen the axial deadzone before and it's so confusing and unnecessary to even have a deadzone in those areas.
After playing a match, I can say the 10/10 sensitivity with your deadzone settings is perfect 🤙
@@kodiakcanuck on which controller?
@@supernice_auto regular series x controller
I'm here a little late but this is amazing for next weekend i was getting so mad because i didn't know what was wrong i couldn't hit any shots when i know that i'm a good player i was champion 2 in halo 5 swat for a little bit but when i dropped into infinite something was very wrong from being top of the team to bottom almost every game
Me and my buddy SpooKeeeZy played you guys on Sunday! Good times.
-Skazbot
Thanks for breaking this down, it makes a lot more sense now.
I now know what those settings do
thank you man goat
Good job dude. Great video.
Thank you
I'm running 4 accel, 3 horizontal, 3.5 vertical and it feels great. I havent touched anything else yet
For some reason when I spawn my gun just starts shooting but when I see enemy it stops auto shooting
Good job, did you experience the red reticle not appearing glitch on pc with mkb and controller? Had zero aim assist paired with these crazy settings, not fun to deal with
Man I was literally wondering why my aiming was all over the place no matter what I adjusted! Now that I have a better understanding of it, maybe I can fix it. Thanks!
I need a little help, I have the best aim in h3 and H Reach on the standard 3 sens. So, what would be the most equivalent to that in infinite?
After this I’ve gone from 1 acceleration and 5 sense.
To 5 acceleration and 1 sense. Which is just as fast. But it doesn’t have the slow uptake. Also I did the threadholds to 0 like you.
Thanks for the info
This man is the goat
Now I'm ready to frag like an MLG pro!
having higher vertical sensitivity than horizontal can actually make sense for making your aim square, as by default it seems that horizontal is more sensitive than vertical and you aim in a rectangle
Geeez, it’s crazy how much better it feels based off the info in this video. You definitely helped ruin my opponents days going forward. :) Thanks man!
OK you get an automatic sub just for this video. I’ve been going back-and-forth constantly in my settings, without this video I’d still be lost. Thank you so much bro
Thank you... you made me hate the aiming in the game a little less
Thanks, this is a great video.
Thank you so much I appreciate this video 👍🏾🙏🏾
Finally somehow explains what axial dead zones mean! It seems obvious now in hindsight but man is it confusing initially
Majority of pros have axial 3-5 and I’m telling you from 9 months of figuring out sensitivity it makes aim snappiest as possible lol
Been going back and forth between the Infinite flight and mcc to compare because I was doing so badly in Infinite, hopefully this helps.
Took me awhile to stumble across this video but thank you 🙏 you deserve a sub
Super Fast but explained well! Thanks!
1:58 well that explains why my pistol crosshair flies all over the place but my assault rifle is fine. gotta change it the next time i get on.
Christ this was an informative video. Thank you for explaining.
So if my aim is basically a circle around my target and headshots are seldom, how do I fix that?
So watched this video a few days ago, and finally got around to sitting down and changing all of my controller settings. Thanks to the clear descriptions you gave, I understood how to change it and the game feels SO MUCH BETTER!
Thank you SO MUCH! I played some Halo last night and had a BLAST because I didn't feel like I was fighting against both an opponent and my own controller.
Aside from the threshold being backwards good vid. The input threshold is basically just the outer deadzone setting from H5 returning, just with a different name. The higher it is, the quicker it registers you pegging the stick, the lower it is, the more range of motion you get before hitting max sensitivity.
Remember the days when FPS games just had Vertical and Horizontal sensitivity, nowadays devs come up with all these settings we don't know about
P sure u got the max input threshold settings mixed up. Making the number value smaller makes the "line" longer while making it a higher value makes it shorter and more snappy
