I find I perform better at higher FOV (Currently at 118 but have experimented with a lot of options from 100 up to 120) on a 32" slightly curved monitor, the reason for this is multiple things; 1) It feels like you move faster which just gives that more focused feeling on the game, I prefer it when the game feels faster, I feel less impatient and sluggish. 2) Enemies are smaller, but aiming requires less adjustments and enemy strafing is much easier to counter due to them being smaller and "further away" which means their movements are a lot less exaggerated compared to higher FOV. 3) Long distance fights definitely become harder aswell as headshots, but this is a con worth trading for the 2 pros. Another thing I found helpful believe it or not is making enemies green. I had many issues with various enemy colours of various maps where they blend in with the background or hill/stronghold zone. Scientifically the Human eye can see and differentiate Shades of Green at a much higher rate than any other colour, I have found it does help a lot ingame in seeing enemies clearly in all maps.
Hey everyone’s got their own preferences no one setting is perfect for everyone so it’s really what you prefer ..these vids just try and help you find what you like
@@alekbriceno4999 I’m all for people showing gameplay and promoting the community…I’m just not going to lie and hype them up. Reticle placement is important but this person isn’t applying them correctly and is a D1/2. They are the last person that should give tips. Play your game and stop trying to “teach” for content where lesser players will develop bad habits.
Such a strange comment thread. The first comment was a little funny, I’ll give him that. All y’all are what, reticle placement pros? Checking up on tips videos to see if it’s the right info? Doubtful. Genuinely interested where y’all are placing your reticle if these are bad tips😂
@@mattg7777 yeah I’ve heard of that too , I’ve came across a post that says when you start the game and it says press start use your controller not the mouse and keyboard , it works SOMETIMES
@@mattg7777 yeah it sucks , do you run windows 10 or 11 Also I noticed my AA was working fine and than I plugged in the charger to the external battery on my controller and boom my controllers sensitivity runs as if I’m playing mouse on controller
I used to get this a lot in the early seasons of Halo inf, but lately I find it happens less. When it does happen though, I just unplug and plug my controller back in. You have to be alive ingame though for it to work. If you do it while you're dead, it can make the game ignore the controller completely, forcing you to either quit or attempt playing KnM.
Tbh I wouldnt put that as much in reticle placement category as it is aim/ tracking. The placement of an enemy moving would be same fundamentally, would just come down more to tracking. Of course shooting a rocket or something would be further out, but this was more in general for the bandit, or other weapons you will use more often.
Man I’ve been playing like trash !! I’m on controller and feeling like I’m getting no aim assist. I’m on field of view of 112 I’m I just trash Diamond 3 hard stuck ?!?
Man thank you. Thanks to you, I've gone from a garbage player, to a less garbage player 😅 But i really appreciate these!
Just trying to help some with the fundamentals! Glad you enjoyed it🙏🏻
Good video. One common misconception i see is that aim = reticle placement, and this video does a good job at differentiating the both.
Was actually talking to my mates about this last night then your video pops up. Perfect!!!
We love to hear it 🔥

9 times out of 10 if I feel like I can’t win a gun fight it’s due to lack of sleep.
Lack of sleep and halo do NOT mix 😭
Why is my reticle a pinpoint? Any fix for this?
What are your Weapon offsets?
ACody I keep having aim assist just disappear and I run PC controller wtfff, do you know how to fix this 😭😭😭
This happens to me too. Also after a couple games my aim just feels incredibly slow - almost as if someone is holding my aim back

Yeah I do that but doesn't help for me. I usually have to restart my game and hope it fixes itself 😢

why on earth have you not mentioned leading your shots?

If/ when I do another aim video, this would certainly be involved
@@AboveAverageCody i've noticed its only necessary for S7, and br/bandit OUTSIDE of red reticle range.

Dude diamond 3 is not trash.
Tbh it can just feel really inconsistent at times. Just have to focus more on your left stick, and supplement with lighter right stick movements
@@AboveAverageCody okay heard that! Thanks 🙏🏼

This is camp lol isn't aim tips. For this type of noob exist to many campers hahahha i miss the old era of halo to many noobs at this time
