      Great video, can you do one about how to play objective gametypes properly I never know what I'm doing, when I should be slaying, when I should be grabbing the flag, where I should take it, what zones I should hold, when I should hold the oddball or drop it, etc. THANKS COACH! Also, how do you properly jiggle peek?

      I don't mean to be pedantic however the call out for overshield is OS this is something that's been standard in Halo for a long time and I think making that call "O-shee" out may confuse your teammates and make them react slower. Also because you are a prominent educator for Halo so I think it's important for you to use the predominant terminology so that people don't go off in the future using that terminology and being forced to deal with confusion

    I think the biggest thing to keep in mind in crossplay especially is not over extending. Too many games in solo turn into people marching off to die individually in front of a fire squad.

      Best tip i have is walk when u have the flag, u wont show anywhere and it isnt really different from throwing the flag, except people dont see u when u walk. Also try to kill at least 2 of the opposing team before carrying the flag, respawn times are like 12 seconds so youll have a big advantage. Last one, u can check the scoreboard to see how many people are dead to help u with the last tip.

    Such a great guide brotha, instant sub. Been playing halo for many years and this covers not only good practices in just about any arena shooter, but also covers all of the nuanced scenarios that really only happen in halo. Anyone looking to get better can learn a lot from this.
    My favorite thing you did and I wish my team did this more, was using the information your team gives you to properly engage. More so than any shooter, infinite wins come about from team shooting and coordination, there's way less solo hero stuff. In arena, the one constant piece of information you have is exactly where your teammates are, use that knowledge to help determine your positioning. Positioning based off your teammates will help you out A LOT! Also a tip that I like to do, I made my allies the Mint color in UI settings so its even easier for me to tell where my whole team is. Anywho great vid

    I do love informative match breakdowns, PLAY BY PLAY breakdown. The mindset at that particular time, this is what I need. Thanks so much will improve my play in Ranked ten fold. One problem I get ALOT of a team member down ie 3/4 player team and try to fill in for the missing player its the worst more so in Stronghold and CTF large maps. Its a pity its doesnt be like COD and fill in with a waiting player or even a spartan level bot.

    After YouTubing a lot of Halo Infinite advice videos, this one stands out as incredibly helpful. It's a real deep dive into strategy and tactics whereas most other videos are about tips and tricks. I enjoyed your other videos too, and they're necessary for players to learn the basics. But what I have personally struggled with is seeing the forest for the trees, so to speak. Knowing how to feel the flow of the game. It's kind of like the difference between a regular football game with a regular "play-by-play announcer plus color commentary," whereas you're doing something closer to the Manning brothers on Monday Night Football talking about the psychology of opponents, predicting what they're going to do, etc.

  • @JoshuaGutz

    I never really comment but just wanted to say I really enjoyed this type of video and would watch hours of these. I've been searching for something like this far and wide across youTube and can tell you, it just doesn't exist, please keep up this series!! if you know any other channels with content like this I'd love to check them out, but best I can tell it's just people posting highlight reals, which may make a cool montage, don't really teach anything. If anything it just encourages bad play to see someone push when outnumbered and get the kills. I particularly liked the triple grenade hit you had at shotgun, which would never make a montage video because you died obviously, but like you said, it gave your teammates such an opportunity to clean up and still come out with more kills. I would've been so upset to go out with a grenade hit like that and then not have my team clean up anything. Great job, please keep up these videos!
    Edit: I see other comments asking for more like this, and in particular with objective modes too. I just wanted to say that would also be awesome!

    The biggest thing I’ve learned and if you keep finding yourself in bad positions then this might help you as well, stop sprinting and rushing to get kills. I’m finally Diamond and am now too frag every game because I’ve improved above my rank so fast. I get tunnel vision and try to run to a certain spot instead I now walk and peek corners and use cover and find myself constantly winning battles. The other huge thing is at least stick with 1 other teammate. Seems obvious but we all start to wander off and I constantly have to slow myself down and it’s worked wonders for me.

    • @jacobwimberly4446

      I would suggest going into controller only ranked and see how you do. That way it doesn’t affect your D3. If you can hold your own and can place in the high plat range. Then the switch might be a good idea. It will definitely be an adjustment period though.

    • @jacobwimberly4446
      @jacobwimberly4446 2 года назад

      @@SuperStiffla yeah it definitely makes a difference. I love playing MnK too but during close range engagements, it’s hard to compete. I’ve learned over past few years, AAA Games with cross-play that controller will always be better. Especially games that also rely on movement and not just aim. There is a reason that there is not Pro teams in COD and Halo at the highest level. Yes they are on PC now but they use a controller. There is a Pro MnK team for Halo but they cannot come close to qualifying. And developers of AAA will cater to consoles because that is the Majority of their player base. A controller is useless without aim assist. I’m good with both MnK and controller cause I have years of experience with both. But definitely with COD and Halo, controller all day. Battlefield I will say there is more of a Balance between MnK though.

    14:30 you positioned well but like you said, it was a 50/50 on what could happen. I would've been checking the flank to see if anyone was coming, first sign of movement friend or foe, I would've dipped to the far side of the middle pillar, potentially exposing myself to anyone coming in from where you had hold of but the potential threat would have had to take an extra second or so to get you in their sights, maybe enough time to regenerate shields. But hindsight is 20/20, tense moments like that we all drop the ball

  • @erichowell1050

    For the bad situation at shotgun spawn, the only thing I would’ve done slightly differently is throw a defensive nade before I set up in the corner with shotty, in hopes it would delay a potential rusher from that side long enough to get my shields recharging.

    The number one tip that has helped me the most is that Halo is a very defensive game. It's almost always better to run away and back off than to be aggressive. Those overkills you see by pros are almost always opportunist plays, not aggressive plays. I'm not saying you should never be aggressive but defensive almost always wins you the game.

What are they doing in this rank ?!? I remember back in 08’ , 09’ that I’d be so pissed off about that stuff. So I only did lone wolves in halo 3. Sadly I only ever reached 43 or 44. Never got General :c I tried so hard. And it’d be annoying cause sometimes I won 2 or 3 games then I still wouldn’t go up on rank lvl. It was out of 50. Then I’d lose one math and go back down to freaking 42.... then had to fight to get 43 back. And for a few years I went back n forth 42 43 44. It was so annoying.

Got my own copy on PC finally and would okay at my dads house on weekends. I even learned how to mod with HMT 3.5 & halomods site. And such. Such hype for halo 2 & 3 and honestly since 343 took over there was never any hype... just garbage and infinite is finally a return for form and I finally feel the hype I felt as a kid! But yeah, I can’t imagine starting a game again, like any other skill based hobby, guitar or skating or what not... the beginning is so overwhelming and with time you just “magically” GIT GUD. Lol. The human body does some amazing sstuff. But it also has some really horrible flaws... so no. Not intelligent design lmfao.
    Cool videos you got dude. I bet it helps a lot of nubbers. Ifnthey listen that is. But the more intelligent players will see this that they will counter your counters and play ur mind lol

    How do you constantly keep your aim at enemy head level, and how can you tell when it's on head level esp when fighting someone at a different height than you?

    5:39 “and this... is where I knew I fucked up” LOL. Man that hurts. Switching away ur shorty to turn around to a mid close engagement by surprise D; ouch that sucks for that guy. So embarrassing he lost that hahah. With BR there’s no reason to get up close and personal if u already put a few rounds in and they tuck/back up in a corner. That’s what nades are for. And he had room to check the corner from a distance. He just got cocky and greedy. Overconfidence killed the cat, kids.

    15:13 the enemy finished off himself with a nade. The major damage was yours. But he spammed nades the wrong way 😂

    So in that moment where you got flanked in the shotgun area you should have played the other wall simply because you already knew an enemy was on that side of you. If you wouldn't have known about the other guy on the high ground then your choice would have been optimal but since you knew he was already above you then you should've waited on the wall closer to him.

    Should I bother with ranked if I have no friends to play with? Or do lots of people play solo in ranked?

    Great, in the situation you should have peaked instead of tucked 100%, better to gain info as you said earlier in the video.

    Really like this breakdown and yeas i bounce my frags on the walls but stickies never. You say "back up and peek" sure sounds easy but when you play idk what triggers us to push it literally happened to you at 22:00 lol i would have done the same. Oh no oh no plays perfectly in the background

    My number one tip: Party up
    This is a free to play game, so most of your random teammates won't know what they are doing.

    Can anyone explain why I played 9 games the other day. Went 7-2, I’m in onyx. And I had pretty good k/d in all of my games and objective participation and I only gained literally 1 point per win but the 2 losses I had I got -3-5 points per loss.

    • @BabuM3RK
      @BabuM3RK 2 года назад

      You can only rank Diamond 1 off placement games. So how did you?

    • @johngartin3118
      @johngartin3118 2 года назад

      @@BabuM3RK it wasn't my placements. I grinded to onyx last week. But I played like 2 days ago and this 1 point crap was happening.

      @@johngartin3118 anyone know an exact algorithm of how the ranking works? I'm 1800 onyx just hit it today. I find that I never lose points when I lose because I'm usually going even/rarely negative. The most points I lose is 1 after a few losses

    15:14 maybe he was panic nading and the bade hit the walls so hi died. because if you engage a person and they kill them self then you wil get the kills.
