I think it's a good game with some good and bad parts, they leaned from GT's mistakes in enviorment detail but but could learn from GT in the way of physics, and suspension dynamics. Putting both game together would probably make the best simulation driving game ever made but is commercially unthinkable !
No it isn't just you. It does look like the steering wheel and car are disconnected, but keep in mind that the car has 900HP, and with first person view it's hard to judge oversteer/understeer, and with the speed that the car is going I think that the car would be twitchy in real life as well.
the graphics in real game is huge letdown the audiences become paper model rather than 3d no motion blur in final game everything you see in e3 is now hugely downgrade
It's not a lie. The released game is completely lacking loads of detail that are blatantly called "In Game Footage"... Turn 10 flat out lied to it's consumer base. Turn 10, in my book, has until January 31 to fix it, or they're giving me my full $80 back for my limited edition.
yeah, in GT5 i just love the way the fenders pixelate when smoke from the tires goes around them, and how the shadows are all choppy on the dashboards when the sun shines on them, my most favorite part is the black interior of all the standard cars, kinda like cardboard box effect going on, state of the art my friend
Forza 5 has a load of new features. I'm really looking forward to the new AutoVista mode, the new tracks, and the updated Silverstone especially. Aside from that, the new updated controller provides a LOT more feedback from your car thanks to the new triggers. If you ever get the chance after the game launches to play, I'd say jump on it. You'll change your mind, I promise.
We all see how hard Dan and all his Team of Turn10 has worked in that game, just look at the result, fantastic looking, best physics, drivatars, autovista, well done Dan this game deserves to be the best exclusive of the beggining of this new generation.
Forza's been the best racing sim series for a while now, haven't seen anything that will change that. Sooo glad that the Top Gear guys are back for this one.
Were extremely impressed with just how fluid this game looks on xbox one. Seeing this level of graphical fidelity at such a smooth frame rate is truly unprecedented in console gaming. The high water mark for for next gen titles has been set here.
thats bcoz new gen games are using real time rendering and real time weather conditions, means no loading things from start, things might change in real time while playing. to bring us the best
a few games in early development was running on a pc, an example is the new dead rising, bf3 forza 5, killler instict etc were running directly on the console. and the press saw the console running the game.
Nah, I'm just somebody that has some (relatively little) experience driving fast. I've built clones of my cars in Forza 4 and it is unbelievably accurate when it comes to physics and how the car reacts. F4 really lets you feel the weight transfers and how close you are to the limit of grip. Trail brake through a corner and you'll start to feel the rear end loosen up before it even starts to slip out. How they simulated it with an xbox controller I have no idea, but its pretty damn amazing.
I would like to see some longer races and qualifying. As a sim fan I'm excited about the new physics! A recreation of the 1970 Trans Am season would be nice with all the CORRECT cars. (Mustang Boss 429 was NOT a road racer!)
It looks good! it has a surreal feel to it. The cars are extra shiny and the sun is super bright and white. GT & DriveClub seem to try and keep it more "real", in terms of shine and lighting... but Forza cranks it up to 11. Some people like it, some don't but you gotta admit it looks good.
sure, I agree with you, McLaren may be boring, but just look at what they created. A terrifying hybrid track monster. They're still pumping out some great cars.
Man, I just have made a comment for one reason. I have all the Forza series, since Forza 1, until Horizon, but there are details that never change. This was the same story when they were launching the Forza 4. They say " we'll change this and this" and the thing keeps the same.
If you are insinuating that the PS4 is more powerful, you're wrong. Both systems have very similar internals. Plus, the game they're playing is still in production and is a dev copy.
Though Vixxious is being rather vicious, I will say he is right. It will look just as good on the console. They came out and said it would be running 1080p at 60 FPS on the Xbox One very recently.
Wow! This is awesome....the respones of everything that's moving during the race feels and looks realistic...I notice that all those mirrors are realistically have objects..when in cockpit view...I'm gonna play....When doest it comes out?
I love Forza 4 physics, but how can you say that as we know nothing of the physics in 5 yet. Forza 4 was a HUGE step in the right direction. Lets hope 5 continues in that direction.
I think it is on a PC with the same specs as an Xbox One as well as running the Xbox One emulator. That is how they ran Call of Duty Ghosts at the multiplayer event/reveal in LA a couple days ago.
The crew= Open world ARCADE racing game Forza Motorsport 5= Closed track SIMULATION(ish) racing game, with tons of cars. The crew and Forza Motorsport 5 are entirely different games. Plus, Forza has it's own competetor.
Looks great, however I hope they focus a lot on the physics. Forza 4 had good physics but there was always a bit room for improvement, specifically on the suspension system.
Steam offers new releases for less, and has amazing sales. There are more PC exclusive titles than there are console exclusives. PCs are upgradable, which is mostly a graphical improvement, but still an option. Many PC games support 120ghz monitors and tvs(and it's usually console ports that don't, btw). PCs are hands-down the best platform for mods. PCs offer the best variety for input devices. Lastly, PC game communities tend to last far longer, which is always a plus.
I game simulators on PC and drive races myself with my Miata. The new GT6 demo has the most realistic handling I EVER played. The feeling for real rubber on your wheels is amazing. So stop spilling sh**.
Because it looks absolutely rediculous when you're using a controller and it would mean that they would have to change the way the car steers making it so basically after every corner you slide from oversteer.
a) easily, though costly upgradeable hardware to improve not only graphics but general performance. b) easier access to mods on your favorite games. c) much greater storage space. d) no fees for shitty services you need to play online. e) games generally cost less. f) you not only get a gaming machine out of PC, but you also get an actual computer.. oh yeah and mouse and keyboard >>>>> big goofy remote controller
Yeah, it's just the way it's supposed to be pronounced. The word is Italian. It means "force." the letter Z followed by a vowel in Italian often makes a TZ sound. Like pizza. Or if you've played Assassin's Creed, Ezio.
I'll agree that nothing outside of Forza 5 has me considering the X1 as of yet, but I haven't seen anything outside of the new Infamous game that is making me itch for PS4 either. I'm likely gonna sit it out for a while and wait for the game libraries to stack up a bit. There's no real need to dis exclusive IPs for Sony and MS. Both have talented studios making damn fine games. It just comes down to preference.
forza 5 is very good for graphics, GT6 is catching up but the series was mainly with physics of every different car on each different track. I wonder how it would be for turn 10 and polyphony digital to improve every time they launch a game, especially as PD have confirmed they're either making a PS4 version or GT6 or making GT7, let's wait and see
you do realize that Horizon did NOT have boosts or powerups if you wanted to get ahead of the competition you would need to upgrade your car if you count that but that only ups the fun
I used to be Forza loyal. Until now. I still have the first Forza for Original Xbox. I hate that they have forgotten who they are. Hello Gran Turismo 6, 7, 8, DriveClub, etc.
WTF are you talking about? I said that in FM3 the view was tucked in closer to the dash and wheel...and ppl complained about it. So for FM4 Turn 10 zoomed the view further back.
Yeah It looks much better because It was built on a GTX 780, but then when they ported it to Xbox One it couldn't run it so they downgraded it to XB1's level, and Forza 6 was designed with XB1 in mind, not the GTX 780. Imagine this build running at 4K/60fps on a GTX 1080, OMG OMG!! It would look MAGNIFICENT!!
I've got three words for ya - MARIO KART U. The ONLY TRUE 1080P60 NEXT GEN GAME. MK U has 12 racers on screen - all individually animated, it has loads of intricately detailed textures combined with effects and extreme physics - like anti gravity and explosions. What does FORZA have on this? Not nearly pushing the same amount.
also I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to maneuver around the towns like that keeping a constant 100 or above km/h. I just don't see that happening
I think it's a good game with some good and bad parts, they leaned from GT's mistakes in enviorment detail but but could learn from GT in the way of physics, and suspension dynamics. Putting both game together would probably make the best simulation driving game ever made but is commercially unthinkable !
Is it just me or does the steering wheel angle appear to have NO connection to what the car is doing in this video?
No it isn't just you. It does look like the steering wheel and car are disconnected, but keep in mind that the car has 900HP, and with first person view it's hard to judge oversteer/understeer, and with the speed that the car is going I think that the car would be twitchy in real life as well.
This looks great. Now show it running on Xbox One
the graphics in real game is huge letdown
the audiences become paper model rather than 3d
no motion blur in final game
everything you see in e3 is now hugely downgrade
Because the trailers were rendered on a PC.
agree
MS and Turn 10 always like to trick ppl
It's not a lie. The released game is completely lacking loads of detail that are blatantly called "In Game Footage"... Turn 10 flat out lied to it's consumer base. Turn 10, in my book, has until January 31 to fix it, or they're giving me my full $80 back for my limited edition.
there is motion blur you can turn it off in the options :)
You're welcome community.us.playstation.com/t5/UNCHARTED-3-Drake-s-Deception/E3-vs-Final-Build-weird-changes/td-p/36897997

Nice arcade game!
what?
It is an arcade lol although the realism makes it seem like it is. Its not a simulation forza has always been arcade
Chris Nelvin lol, no
Forza 5 has a load of new features.
This game looks nothing like this. :\
Is great
Why didn't IGN show outside the cockpit view, so much for gameplay demo!
We all see how hard Dan and all his Team of Turn10 has worked in that game, just look at the result, fantastic looking, best physics, drivatars, autovista, well done Dan this game deserves to be the best exclusive of the beggining of this new generation.
They've done a great job optimising the game for the consoles relatively weak hardware, great job! It looks fantastic!
Forza's been the best racing sim series for a while now, haven't seen anything that will change that. Sooo glad that the Top Gear guys are back for this one.
You have to remember that this is ONLY a stage demo XP
nothing you see here is of the final product.
Were extremely impressed with just how fluid this game looks on xbox one. Seeing this level of graphical fidelity at such a smooth frame rate is truly unprecedented in console gaming. The high water mark for for next gen titles has been set here.
thats bcoz new gen games are using real time rendering and real time weather conditions, means no loading things from start, things might change in real time while playing. to bring us the best
forza has been a really great community of it's own it's players like us that makes it a community we love to drift race and just mess around.
I Know is not HUGE thing to improve the mirrors and trees in a racing game but it helps to have more immersive gameplay.
a few games in early development was running on a pc, an example is the new dead rising, bf3
forza 5, killler instict etc were running directly on the console.
and the press saw the console running the game.

It's a dev kit. The only game that ran on a nvidia high end card was lococycle. Ps4 games were ran on dev kits (PCs) as well. Look it up
God ray is what that particle shader effect is called with the lens glare where you can see the sun beam.
kinect is for tv, apps, and some little commands in games, seen in that way, and not just like a motion controller for some games, kinect isn't bad
it will. it will also be avalible on the ps3, ps4 and pc!
I loved Forza 3, this game could be the reason why I would buy an Xbox One.
The McLaren P1 was always my favourite McLaren car
Can't wait for gran turismo 6, Driveclub and forza 5! This is going to be the best year for racing fans!
Yes, chances are it will be more authentic, and hopefully you can get more parts tailored for the cause..
sure, I agree with you, McLaren may be boring, but just look at what they created.
Both DriveClub and Forza 5 have windshield reflections which is fucking amazing.
If you are insinuating that the PS4 is more powerful, you're wrong. Both systems have very similar internals. Plus, the game they're playing is still in production and is a dev copy.
Though Vixxious is being rather vicious, I will say he is right. It will look just as good on the console. They came out and said it would be running 1080p at 60 FPS on the Xbox One very recently.
not always, because you didn't write like you were sarcastic.
Wow! This is awesome....the respones of everything that's moving during the race feels and looks realistic...I notice that all those mirrors are realistically have objects..when in cockpit view...I'm gonna play....When doest it comes out?
its all graphical purposes too keep a steady frame rate.
The delorean is also one of my dream cars!
keep looking at the left side mirror and you will see trees popping out all the time
I love Forza 4 physics, but how can you say that as we know nothing of the physics in 5 yet. Forza 4 was a HUGE step in the right direction. Lets hope 5 continues in that direction.
for all people says gloves or textures are bad
remember... THIS IS ONLY THE DEMO!
don't thank me IGN
Not much left in the final version. :/
2:04 Tree disappears, then reappears.. okay haha..
the reflections in the windscreen look nice, but are they not a bit exaggerated? I mean, they seem VERY visible, to me a bit unrealistic.
I can't live without forza
What do you mean "just a demo"? The demonstration is the moment that you actually make an impression..
Chill broooo. It's still in development.
I think it is on a PC with the same specs as an Xbox One as well as running the Xbox One emulator. That is how they ran Call of Duty Ghosts at the multiplayer event/reveal in LA a couple days ago.
The crew= Open world ARCADE racing game
Forza Motorsport 5= Closed track SIMULATION(ish) racing game, with tons of cars.

Thats because there's no tire smoke coming from any car in this race.
I game simulators on PC and drive races myself with my Miata. The new GT6 demo has the most realistic handling I EVER played. The feeling for real rubber on your wheels is amazing. So stop spilling sh**.
I am a PS-Fanboy but Forza looks great, especially the reflections on the windowpaine, wow!!!
@ 4:10 White tree on the left pops out and then back in. Ghost trees confirmed in Forza 5.
Wow.... That is gorgeous.... I had not decided on my first ps4 game, you just made the decision a no brainer, thank you.
From e3 you can tell what the final product will be like. What product are you on about anyway, Driveclub or XB1?
This is the system seller for me. I don't care if the PS4 is cheaper and all the other advantages. This game looks superb.
watch the left side mirror, the objects disappear after... 100 meter? and THAT is next gen?
Will there be drifting on Forza 5 like there was on Forza motorsport 4?
This video is what made me buy forza 5, but all i ever do on there is drift lol
This looks amazing. I haven't played a racing game in a while, I'm picking this up first.
Actually the most recent driveclub footage, looks exactly the same like this one (in terms of graphics) and it's just a Beta test
Keep in mind that the game is still in production. They probably already have the problem resolved by now, anyway.
No, Games shown at E3 2013 for X-Box one were actually run on gaming pc's, this is well known. along with them paying companies not to show ps4 games.
Tree lighting bug at 2:03. Don't worry, this is not the final product..
It's the only tree that did it, and it's not draw distance that's the problem. I wouldn't be worried about that.
they both have good car physics
It's harder to see than that when you're driving into the sun.
Yeah, it's just the way it's supposed to be pronounced. The word is Italian. It means "force." the letter Z followed by a vowel in Italian often makes a TZ sound. Like pizza. Or if you've played Assassin's Creed, Ezio.
Anyone else seeing the frame rate dropping off pretty bad during cornering when he is close behind the konigsegg?
I'll agree that nothing outside of Forza 5 has me considering the X1 as of yet, but I haven't seen anything outside of the new Infamous game that is making me itch for PS4 either. I'm likely gonna sit it out for a while and wait for the game libraries to stack up a bit. There's no real need to dis exclusive IPs for Sony and MS. Both have talented studios making damn fine games. It just comes down to preference.
It's the same Demo, they just reply it on every video that comes out because it's difficult to get direct feed from the games at this point
forza 5 is very good for graphics, GT6 is catching up but the series was mainly with physics of every different car on each different track.
I wonder how it would be for turn 10 and polyphony digital to improve every time they launch a game, especially as PD have confirmed they're either making a PS4 version or GT6 or making GT7, let's wait and see
"Google says" is incredibly vague. Mind stating an actual source?
CoD4 truly was the best, none of the ones after that would've been as big of a hit without it.
I am a huge huge GT and Froza fan, I'm hoping Gran Turismo 6 & 7 doesn't make the same mistake with their pricy DLC
you do realize that Horizon did NOT have boosts or powerups if you wanted to get ahead of the competition you would need to upgrade your car if you count that but that only ups the fun
Anyone notice the sudden fps drops that last 3 seconds?
If you guys can add codemasters quality damage modeling, this game would be unstoppable.
The Forza Horizon had the best Soundtrack of any game ever!
I agree, nothing like a tuned Lancia Delta :D
I've never realised this. I'm from Australia, so down here we don't put any emphasis on it like that. Everyone's different I guess :)
I saw gameplay for this at Fan Expo, and the graphics didn't look nearly as good. I wonder why
I went to PAX and this is how the game looks.
i want to know if the speedometer is in KPH or MPH because that mcleran is NOT faster than a bugati veyron because it was doing 256 on that track
I used to be Forza loyal. Until now. I still have the first Forza for Original Xbox. I hate that they have forgotten who they are. Hello Gran Turismo 6, 7, 8, DriveClub, etc.
graphic wise, it doesn't they are pretty equal. have you watched the trailer?????
not going to lie there is something about the graphics that is very pretty. gameplay is super smooth and nice sense of speed. fix that pop in though
WTF are you talking about? I said that in FM3 the view was tucked in closer to the dash and wheel...and ppl complained about it. So for FM4 Turn 10 zoomed the view further back.
this looks better than forza 6 apex running ultra settings on pc.
FM3 had this perspective...and EVERYONE bitched about it. That's why the view zoomed back for FM4.
I wonder if the drive-atar is going to smash repeatedly into my car, or, driving on the track backwards. That'd be realistic.
Guys, they say Fortsa because that's how it is pronounced in Italy, Forza means speed in Italian
When they say 500 cars for Forza 4, was that really true? Didn't seem that many.
@5:42 is "god rays" a thing?
I've got three words for ya - MARIO KART U.
The ONLY TRUE 1080P60 NEXT GEN GAME. MK U has 12 racers on screen - all individually animated, it has loads of intricately detailed textures combined with effects and extreme physics - like anti gravity and explosions. What does FORZA have on this? Not nearly pushing the same amount.
