🚨updated 2024 plant tour here: ruclips.net/video/fosG745d1Wc/видео.html
It is so wonderful to see younger people so into plants! I kept my first houseplant in the 1970s. You are such a lovely soul. I really enjoyed your tour and I love your passion towards plants. Plants can be such a rewarding and healing hobby. God Bless young lady!
Very true!
I have loved plants since the age of 9, I got my first cactus and kept it alive for years. now i’m 16 and i don’t remember what ever happened to that cactus, but I got back into plants and in two years i’ve accumulated around 40 plants. I have had many ups and downs, last winter I lost a lot of plants but have been slowly replenishing my collection. Watching them grow and thrive is so rewarding. I find any environment to be way more pleasing if it has plants!

Yes yes yes! Beautiful comment 💚💚
If you give away plants send me your plants
Anyone else feel like they wanna watch this a few times lol like you know you have that movie/show you put on repeat when you're doing stuff and need background...this is gonna be my new comfort background plant video for plant chores
Thanks fern!! You know we needed this!!!
no
THE MOST awaited video of 2022 😅 I’ve been so excited for this day!🤗 Ahhh thank you so much fern you definitely made my day with this video💞🪴 I will most definitely be rewatching this video multiple times just like your others 😊
Awwww thank you so much!! I really hope you like it 💚🌿
I admire you for being able to keep up with all of these plants and giving them the respect they deserve! I'm in a studio and I have 135 (quite a few hoya cuttings, they add up fast) and I've about maxed out my viable space without just opting out of having a bed, the temptation has been there, especially after seeing your collection. An icon you are!
why need bed when plants?
great idea - hang a hamic 🤣 or get a loft bed with nothing under it -then buy more plants ✌🏼🥳🤣
29:53 the way she sings “we have a new growth point” meeee everytime I check my plants and find new growth 🥹❤️
If there is one thing I can relate to, it's having a SMALL space and A LOT of plants in it!
I live in a 25ft travel trailer, I have over 100 plants 😅
What a fun tour! Thank you so much for putting names as I sometimes like to screenshot if it's a plant I'd like to add to my wishlist😊
I have a million wild fern screenshots lol!
If you love plants check out my newest video! Let me know what you think!
ruclips.net/video/v3b1CeV0ek0/видео.html
I’ve seen someone who makes the vines circle around on the pole. Especially when it’s a long section. She does it when the vine is fresh and pliable. Makes it look bushier with the leaves closet to each other. You might think of trying that sometime when you’ve got a long vine between nodes. It will harden off after a week or so and you won’t need the clips any longer.
Made it to the end. This video was perfect since I had like 100 plants to water after coming back from vacation. This was perfect to watch while watering 😍
Hi Fern! My experience with zz plants is that warmth and light will bring them to life and cause growth. I live in Pacific Northwest, 1 hour north of seattle. When I put my zz in my south facing window it starts popping off. Maybe u could try that with your raven to see if it makes a difference for you too! ❤️
Mine did nothing in the end of the summer (24/7 on a east facing window), kept her inside for the whole winter still nothing, and two weeks after trying her on the same window in April this year, two beautiful shoots came out! Even taller than the previous ones!
Hey hey. I started getting into plants about two yrs ago. Following the accidental death of my 20yo son, plants have been my only source of any joy (other than my toddler grandsons) I just found your channel on my learning journey & subscribed. Binge watching at this very moment. Love love love it! You mentioned downsizing & rehoming some plants so I must inquire.... Is it at all possible to be able to obtain any, be it gift or purchase???✌🏻️🙏🏻💞✨👼🏻
😮😮🎉 I CAN'T WAIT to get home after a long ass week, make my evening tea, and get cozy and watch this tour!!!💚🌿
Girl. You've blessed us all today. 🙏
What's it feel like to be such an icon? 😆🥰😍
Amen! 💖
I know it's cramped, but you house is total jungle vibes because of it! So lush and green, and I love how varied your collection is!
And yes, watched the whole vid though with no skips, forwards, pauses, or rewinds 👍👍
Haven't watched yet, but I'm so excited already; over 1 hour and a half, what a dream! Thank you! 🌸🧡🧡🧡
You’re so welcome! Enjoy 😊
who are you
I recommend to cut the Obliqa runner, and propagate the individual nodes, it can either cause a new leaf or more runners which then you can continue the process, happy growing!
Hi Fern! Thank you for always giving us amazing content!🤩🌱🪴
Awe it’s my pleasure! Enjoy! 💚🌿
My favorite planty youtuber ❤️ I can’t believe I watched this entire video in one sitting hahaha 🥰
Can we see your suncatchers? And where you got them from? Mine are definitely not as effective!
I propagated a zz plant from leaf and it took one year to create the rhizome or bulb that it does, and then I have a stem with two leaves. I started it in Feb 2020, and I am in Halifax. It receives south facing light. I have it in soil but I not ,much has happened since the two leaves came in about a year ago.
Watching this video made me realize how many plants you have inspired me to invest in. . . El choco, campo, verrucosum, melano, frydek, etc. Maybe one day I’ll even try begonias. Lol j/k I’m “one of those” plant people. Great to see your whole collection in one video. Thank you for being so inspiring and easy to watch! ❤️ 🪴 🌱 💚
I have a 580 Sq ft apartment and I only have my plants in my bedroom and outside. I live in FL so completely opposite of your climate but it amazes me how well your plants are doing and how you showcase them!
And here I thought I had too many plants..lol❤🍀. I just got a lot on my huge balcony in Florida!
Your rainbows and plant baby tour just made my whole day 😻🌈🪴 Thanks for the perfect tour Fern 💖💙💚
I havent even started and am so excited to see your collection! 🤩
Im starting to feel a little crappy💩, I got sent home from work with covid this morning.
At least this is perfect timing for your video to enjoy and distract me 👍 TY
You have some wall space up by your front door where the window on your door lights up that wall up by the window! Would be a great place for a wall shelf or a hook up in the ceiling!
Haven't even watched yet 🤣
Can't even describe how excited I was to see this notification and then to see how long it is🥰🥰🥰 💚💚💚
Ahhhh yay enjoy!!!
Agree with this 100%
All your plants are looking amazing! The Anthurium seedlings 100% need lower light though, they prefer to have even less than most Philodendrons. You'll also get darker leaves in lower light ☺
I love watching/listening to your videos while I work a very boring job, Fern!! 💚 I have so much to say, I just saw nearly 200 plants! Haha I’ll try to get back & rewatch when I can pay close attention. You’ve definitely introduced me to so many beauties that I have added to my wish list and/or got immediately. lol
Just got home from work, best video to come home to! I can’t wait to film/post my updated Summer collection as well🌿
the BEST?
This was a great watch. I did plant chores while watching and bought a silver dollar vine and also put a verrocsum in the cart 😂
great job! proud of you!
A little tip for your adorable baby zz plant - put it into a very small pot, it likes to be very tight in a pot, then it will start to grow
Ahh thank you!!
54:20 that new leaf is SO PRETTY woooooooow the colors + light
Got myself a painted lady because of this channel and I´m completely obsessed with her! Such a beautiful underrated plant.
Love the video. You said your hoya compacta isn't growing. Look at his stem it looks unusual. I'd look into it maybe having false mites. I had the same issue going on with my mathilde. Betsy begonia has a great video on these mites. Hope that helps.
just came to like and comment cause you were cute, I learned a lot about plants this day. beautiful space!
Keep at the LECA. You will be pleasantly surprised how well you Hoyas do, especially the obavata. Once I converted mine to LECA it is getting massive. So many new growth points. I actually just converted my last of my plants to LECA last weekend. I love the peace of mind to not deal with bug issues.
I'm just starting to really get into plants and have been watching a lot of plant videos this year. This is one of the best ones I have seen! I will watch this one again. Your plants are gorgeous and I love your little home. At the beginning of this year I had 2 plants which I had for years. Now I'm at 9, soon to be 13 as I will be purchasing 4 from Plant Haven which I discovered through this video. I am looking forward to growing my plant collection slowly while learning. My favourite plant in my small collection is my Krimson Queen Hoya and I loved seeing yours. What a beauty she is! Thanks for sharing your plants with us.
I was legit playing piano, looked over at my phone and saw this video and was like “YUSSSSSS”. I am so pumped! 🌱🖤
Hahaha omg yassss - enjoy!!
Your plant tour videos are always a delight to watch! It's amazing to see how you've transformed your small space into a lush jungle with over 180 houseplants. Your informative insights and love for plants truly shine through in every video. Keep inspiring us with your green thumb magic!
Show us your suncatcher. The rainbows are stunning. I’ve got a crystal outside my front (west facing) window. When I can leave the curtains up it shoots little round rainbows all over my living room.
great video, can't believe i just watched a movie! i also appreciate the way you speak, you can tell a lot with good flow and it is very pleasant to listen to you
Sis there can be no one more beautiful than u.
Just got wrongfully fired today. This was just the relaxation I needed and I'm already starting to see the bright side (: Thank you Fern
I need your videos as Podcasts. I love listening to you talking about plants ☺️
2:05 “how did we get here” yep that’s me 😂❤
Wow!! This was awesome!! Kind of a rollercoaster. You have soo many beautiful plants! I had some feral cats we are/were feeding kill soo many of my cactus on my front porch.. a lot that you have.. breaks my heart!! But man I didn’t realize you have so many begonias!! You have a pretty awesome collection!! And soo many anthurium!! YAY YOU!!!
"Rainbow Hour, which is a very exciting time around my place." ♥️
Well done!! That was quite an undertaking, but so worth it. I totally loved the longer video. Exactly what I needed to unwind after a hectic week. Thank you 🙏🏼
Favourites of mine from your collection have to be Hoya heuskilanna variegated (wow!) Krimson queen, sp silver & basically all the rest of them 🤣
I say this every time, but Olive is sooo cute and precious! I really enjoyed the full tour!
150+ plants in my small apartement its so amazing. Thanks for sharing my frend
I LOVE how you say so many if your plants are your favorite plants right now! Means you have a great collection and its all paid off!!
I know I am here for the plants but your makeup. LOVE.
OMG, the Queen of Plants. I'm a farmer and owner of commercial greenhouses. This has to be my favorite houseplant tour ever. You have quite a collection. Just spectacular! I watced the entire video, subscribed and rang your bell. Peace 🍃🍃✌✌♥♥🔥🔥💫💫🍃🍃
thank you so much!!
Tell me you're running out of space for plants without telling me you're running out of space for plants...
Fern: Shows plant on arm of couch.
i think we know your plants enough haha, im so happy for this new video, i was waiting for another long video, love you with all your plants
I hope you enjoy it!! 😊
Hey Fern 😊 Hoya tend to flower after stress. To encourage them, skip a watering here and there. When they sense stress it triggers them to reproduce. Hello blooms 😊 Amazing video! Love the new place! You've made it so beautiful and you look so happy 😁It was amazing seeing all your beautiful plants again. Especially the dragon scales! I always look out for her in every video, lol. Can't wait for the next one! Love, light and happy planting 🌺
I found your channel and I feel identified with you! I live in PNW too! My pleasure be part of your community! 🌷🌎🌷🌎🌷🌎
Diffuse the light in your cabinet with parchment paper. Easier than moving shelves. 🤷🏼♀️
Yayyyyy perfect way to unwind this hectic Friday morning ❤️
Love this, since I also have around 100 plants in my tiny apartment. It makes me really that although the indoor condition is not ideal, the plants will adapt anyway.
Love your collection arrangement
For sure the most awaited video of 2022!! So glad Olive made an appearance on both days🥰. You have such a beautiful collection. I’ll be rewatching this video for sure.
If you have trouble growing certain plants such as the ZZ plant find a friend who has an aquarium and ask him to leave you some water from the aquarium water change, use it for watering no more than once a week, plants should grow faster thanks to the natural compost from the aquarium.
PS. Cheers from Poland.
OMG FERN!!! This video took me I think 3 times to finally get through it because you know. Life. Haha. I loved every minute of it! ♥️ also wanted to let you know that you literally BLEW my mind about the piper. A planty friend of mine has been treating her piper for MONTHS thinking that she had pests 🙃🙃🙃🙃 but it's just sugar crystals!! The moment I saw that, I sent her a message and she was shook!!!! LOL 😅 Thank you for always teaching me something new! Love your content soo much! 🌿♥️
omg hahaha! I'm so happy to be able to help her! and that you enjoyed the video :) thank you so much for watching, I know it was a long one.
Literally binge watching all your videos right now 😅🌿
Hey Fern, love your collection. To make your nepenthes happy, try giving it more light, even some direct light if you can. Also for the soil, use a sphagnum and or perlite mix. They also prefer rain water or distilled. Basically treat it like a phalaenopsis minus the fertilizer.
You are glowing in this intro!!! So excited to watch the video
I legitimately thought the rainbows were added in post, but *GASP* I NEED some prism decals for my windows!!
Loving the tour, your plants are looking so happy!
The hanging vines above the couch is a great idea.
The ZZ plant propbably needs more light to grow. They can handle low light but they prefer to get more. My raven ZZ started growing when I moved it to a westfacing window
you have a GORGEOUS collection. The rat tail cactus is looking adorable! Also I recently got a pendant anthurium recently because of you :)
I’m thinking about looking for a monkeys tail myself 😊
I can make it a drinking game out of this video, drink every time when fern says “all time favorite“. 🍷
Its nice to get tips and ideas and not ego. Very chill very relaxing, reminds me off home and my grandmothers. East Coast middle of winter Nfld and it looked like a tropical jungle in our living room. It was awesome then and still is now. We still have plants clinging to life lol. Keep up the great work.
awe thank you so much for this! really appreciate your kind words ☺️🌿
You plants collection is Amazing. Thanks for sharing.
loved this so much!! as someone else said, the most long awaited fern vid for this year haha 💚 longform is my fave to play as i do chores/cleaning and plant watering so thanks for keeping me company for almost 2 hours!!
Honestly, I keep my lemon lime philodendron in like a corner and I think that’s because I kind of trained it but it survives it’s heavy and it puts out new growth and I have no clue how I got it to just be like seriously I think they’re kind of like finicky you, so that’s probably why cause I haven’t moved in a while 😂❤😊
Take your alocasia black velvet out of the putting media and repot it in straight perelite water like normal ad a pebble tray with water if humidity is a problem which it could be, I did the same with my silver dragon and then put it in my own home made double stacked 10 gallon aquarium terrarium. It's just two 10 gal aquariums top to top to make a sweat chamber for plants lol nice strong light on top a quick puff with the mini humidifier and it's around 70 80% humidity is really easy and fun to do! I love your channel tour fun too listen to during plant and fish chores! Life's a garden dig it!
Oh yay fellow Canadian! I’m on the opposite coast though 😂 I’m binge watching a ton of plant videos because I’m in the process of repotting and getting new plants
My place is 720 sq ft with a balcony and Im like whoa 8 plants, things are crazy here. You have over 100 plants, im flabbergasted and cant wait to see them all
Right off the bat, super pumped to see a 2 hr plant tour!! Your collection looks great!
Wow. My place is much bigger and I "only" have about 120 plants and I have them crammed together in about 4 spots. I can't get one more plant because I feel there is no place to put it. I only have one south window but have some grow lights which aren't very strong. I have a bunch in the small bathroom with no window. So, after I make my bed in the morning I drag all the bathroom plants out and put them on my bed in front of my south window. Then take them back into the bathroom at night at bedtime. Which I hate doing. This ritual is getting old. Lol. Your place and your plants look amazing! Thanks for the tour! I've been watching your channel grow for a long time now.
I put 90% of my plants in self watering pots, a little soil, Lechuza pon, perlite, charcoal, osmolite. They are thriving and soo easy to care for all of my plants,
You have a lot more room for plants if you install shelves and hang more plants, if you’re renting it’s super easy to fix the holes from the shelves and hanging hardware. super easy. Just a thought
11:02 100% amazing with shade gradients on foliage. I am not vine expert but think some systematic pruning can boost “trailing”.
That krimson queen and those solid white leaves!! 😍😍😍
Okay, I finally finished watching this hahaha, Fern your collection is amazing! I can definitely see how you think your space is small, but I think that it's more than enough. If I were you I would get more grow lights and do more hanging shelves on the wall, it would free up a lot of floor space and then you don't have to worry about your clients being in front of the heater in the winter. I mostly do my plans on floating shelves so that I am not using up valuable floor space in my 600 ft² apartment. Also, you could get like a shelving unit to put between your couch and your kitchen over by where that table is and install grow lights on it. A bookshelf would look cute there, and you can put a surprising number of plants on a bookshelf, especially little ones :-)
Hey Fern 😊 while watching the part about your monstera obliqua peru, I remembered reading about climbing plants that: when they climb more than they grow new leafs, its a sign that the plant needs more light. Hope it helps you out 🥰💪🏼 I recently moved my monstera adansonii to the south east side of my house (not in direct sunlight obviously 😉) but ever since i moved it to this bright room, it grew a lot faster and better. Love watching your videos while doing my own plant chores, keep it up! 🌿🌈🌱💚 from The Netherlands
Ooh helpful tip! Thanks!
21:31 buy a wall mount premium tv extender angle thing. Check your weights but could have that thing angled in any direction and moveable and up of ground; just need mount for pot which could be done easily.
Love love love your long videos! This was a treat for me, thank you!
I sure wish I could get that crystal star soilless mix, it looks so good! You have made such good use of your place!
It does work! My Snake Plant leaf snapped and I braced it with a couple of toothpicks and a loosely applied rubber band. Within a week, the leaf was straight and rigid again (and that wasn't even during the growing season!). Brilliant video, Fern. An absolute delight, as always!
I think you should keep growing your painted lady! Those look so gorgeous when they get really tall on a pole, like 6ft, in a corner in a big beautiful pot. Yesss
Can see a lot of work went into this video. Fab work and gorgeous collection! 💚
Finally got the chance to watch you show off all the beautiful plants in your collection! For the penguicula-- make sure the things swimming in the water reservoir aren't mosquito larvae! They love stagnant water sources.
Loved the video so much! Was definitely looking forward to it. Also I agree so much about the regular wide form adonsonii, I have such an appreciation for it and honestly it reminds me of a non fenestrated Peru.
Great video. Had a great time watching it. You are so good with your presentations, you are a natural. Keep up the great work. 👍
Thank you Fern:
QUESTION: living room corner greenhouse with doors - what is the brand name & where do i order it?
&&&
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and beautiful plants 🌿 with us - wish you the best - i really appreciate you going over all the plant names and your experience with each too --- my Grandma taught me to garden and keep house plants properly long time ago - i have about 30 plants because of small apartment too and i really thought about what you were saying about using smaller pots until i can't - because i always buy bigger pots - so i have less room in small apartment
(i love CHINA DOLLS for long time and have had 2 just die like they "went South" within 2 days once they started to look strange & yes shed all the leaves less than 48 hrs -
nothing was apparently wrong and i have 40 yrs experience with any plant and big gardens//
they truly are temperamental (they were outdoor plants and only became a house plant in 1980s too - yet i've always loved them like i love Japanese red maple - queen ann lace fancy lacy leaves.
you gave me a lot of great ideas !!! again thank you
cheers ✌🏼
🇺🇸Southern USA 🦅
I seen a video a guy said he got his from ikea
I LOOOOVE these long videos!!! I’m here for it
It's been so amazing to see your plant collection grow over the year!! OMG! It's blows my mind how dedicated and passionate you are about your plants ☺️ where do you get your clear medium/large pots? Are they orchid pots? They do look a little different from orchid pots!
