wiring loom problems...had em on new sprinters b4. The lack of radio reception would indicate an earth disconnect as well coz the body acts as an rf negative return path....one half of a dipole antenna missing.

There's absolutely no way that issues such as no wipers, no heater, or non-working radio could possibly be "as designed", because MB would get sued up the wazoo. Your dealer is trying to pull a fast one on you. As for the Renault engine, yes, some use Renault engines. This is common practice in the auto industry. You can easily check what engine is in the Vito before your purchase. Handy list here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_Vito#Engines[59][60]. Personally I wouldn't buy anything with a Renault engine, but to each their own. The issues seem to be electrical, likely a wiring loom fault. Should be relatively easy to fix under warranty. Even my otherwise rock solid Toyota had an easy-to-fix wiring loom fault at one point... can happen to any vehicle.
I have a 119CDi, not had any issues with it really, it does suffer with the standard 2.1L CDI issue that Euro6 Mercs all have - the exhaust sensor that dies after about a year. Other than that, it's great. Your poverty spec (Renault engine FWD thing) looks like a Lemon. I would have taken it back to the dealer and told (not asked) them to sort it out or give me a new van or my money back. Regards to the radio reception - do you have a ciggy lighter phone charger plugged in, the sort of cheap junk you can get off Amazon or a petrol station? They are notorious for causing interference to not only your radio, but everyone in a 20-100m radius!
that engine is the new renault engine FOR CARS,,,THEY DONT (RENAULT) EVEN USE IT IN ITS NEW TRAFIC THAT HAS A NEW ENGINE...A 2.0 (1997 CM·3).....INCREDIBLE
@@szilardparian5730 there are two options for Renault engines...the old one is 1.6 (1598 cm3).....and the new one is 1.7 (1749 cm3)...THINK BUT NOT SURE...CODED OM 622.the renault code is R9M...then you have the merc engines in vitos...2.1 (2143 cm3)..OM651.and the new 2.0 (1950 cm3)..OM654 facts are facts.....as of 2020....if it was produced in that year there is a bigger chance that it is the 1.7 from renault than the 1.6...but also possible .....produced before 2020...and sold in 2020...which is likely..and so it may be the 1.6
Tb honest the radio's are shit but really they are a really good van if you go for the actual mercedes engine. The stories I've heard from lads with other vans think I'll keep my vito
Sounds like German makes, very nice to look at, steering and suspension handle well on the road but reliability standards no where near Japanese makes.

It is a grab van . I have driven 4 of them and the number of issues I had are ridiculous wipers, Tyre pressure system, headlights........and more.

Hi what engine you got the 1.6 or the 2.1 ?
I had poor reception in my old 2015 Vito and it was the sat nav interfering, I have 2019 now and the engine/road noise is incredibly loud
You need to find out if the windscreen has been replaced because the aerial is built in .I have a2017 Vito no problems
U most probably don't lookafter it mate its a brilliant van I love it very very reliable I think u probably rag it
would have been better if you turned phone sideways also your supposed to get the 2.1 its a real merc engine
