    Most informational how to do it, I changed my audi A6 1.8T Quattro fuel pumb and did everyhing exactly how you did it and worked perfectly. That wrench idea brilliant!!! worked like a charm. Thank you for this tutorial!!!!

    I have a question if you disconnected the battery why do you put electrical tape on the pliers

    • @automahntic
      @automahntic  3 года назад +4

      Sorry for the misunderstanding, I just said electrical tape as one type of tape you could use but ideally you can use whatever tape you wish. However the main point is only to protect the rubber hoses from tearing or getting damaged against the hard metal surface of the pliers. It's not for any other electrical related issue. Hope this helps!
      Thanks for your comment!

    Hey is the pump supposed to hum and whine like that? Cause my car does that… thoughtI needed a new pump

    • @automahntic
      @automahntic  2 года назад

      As long as the hum sounds like an normal electric motor then it's normal. However, if it sounds abnormally loud even if the seat installed then it could be a faulty pump.

    i have replaced a fuel pump on my audi a6 c5 2.8 quattro. I used the same kind of clamps as yours , have replaced the plastic fuel pressure hose as well but it's losing the fuel pressure still. the problem is the clamps, i have used several ones but still no result... any help ?

      Make sure you are using the correct size clamps for the fuel line and that the clamps are seated properly on the hose so you have no leaks. Were you getting good pressure before your fuel pump died?

    Do you start with no gas in tank ?

    • @TheFoyer13
      @TheFoyer13 10 месяцев назад

      I had about a quarter tank of fuel in my car and I wish I had less in it. Wear some nitrile gloves to keep your hands dry. Any more gas and you'll be splashing it all over the place.

    I kinda need help, is the return fuel line connected to anything in the tank?
