If you had pointed the camera left at around the 1 minute 30 mark, just past the Thai Palace, you would have seen a post box. It's unusual in that it has the royal cipher for Edward VIII.

Thank you very much for that information. I have learned something and I like that. I had no idea what a cipher was so I had to Google it. Hahahha. How did you learn about this?

@@johna6004 Just one of those obscure facts that lodged in my brain many years ago 😁. If memory serves that pillar box is one of only 6 in the country and one of two used for its original purpose.

It's the only time I've ever been there so I will just take your word on it . I imagine in your experience it may have been in a bit of a state historically?

@familysharing1339 I lived there in the early noughties, and it was too much like a London suburb then. We left Kent 4 years ago, so thanks for putting it up

Nice video,Maidstone gets a bad rap but there is some stunning buildings & architecture,if folk looked above the shopfronts they’d see it….& Fifi’s as it’s called now does a banging Sunday roast

Thanks for that info Steve. I'm glad it wasn't the end of the place. Ciaran sounds like an Irish name??? Surely that cannot be. The place seems to have the feel of a Middle Eastern/Asian influence.

Thanks for that Steve. The joy of finding different and unique experiences is the main motivation for doing what I do. That one is a gem.
