Nice job!! Totally different feel brushless. Sweet truck!!
Thanks man 👍. After I beef the diffs I may swap the mount and go 12s.
Always building something! I'm thinking of throwing something together. Winter gets so boring lol. I'm thinking maybe 6th scale crawler for playing in the snow
Yes sir. I have another cool project in the works
Good build. It was kind of sacrilegious to me to see it be converted. After watching the video KGM approved. 12S? I think YES😂
When the wallet is heavier, the new Max 5 and 800 are going in 👍💯
@@GussCustomCreations that darn wallet always ruining the fun
Sick build
Thanks, much appreciated!
Why did you decide to swap it to electric? Were you having problems with the gas motor or just personal preference? The reason I ask is I was thinking about buying this truck from redcat but got kinda scared away by the reviews. I noticed that based on your videos, you've had this truck for about 2 years. What's your experience with it?
The truck worked perfectly fine for 2 years and about 4 gallons of gas. The only thing I don't like about it is its break system is not the best as most 1/5th scale have 2 brakes this only has one. And the other was the throttle linkage, its flimsy and will warp and cause the engine to rev slightly when you hit the breaks. The other issues were pretty typical for a gas rig mainly screws vibrating out, but I have yet to break a single part. The reason for converting it to electric is I like it so much I wanted one of each and I like to build stuff lol. I'm in the process of grabbing another one and will be putting a bigger engine in it with the buggy gear ratio.
Size comparison with an X-Maxx. pretty much the same right?
Yeah it's close to an Xmaxx. It's wider but the wheelbase is about the same so it's just a touch bigger.
Its like a good xmaxx lol
Pretty much lol
Dude where dide u get the raptor body .
It's a proline body for an xmaxx. Just have to put in a couple holes
Does it do wheelies at all?
Yeah it will wheelie. I was keeping the front end down so I didn't ruin the body. Going to make a wheelie bar of some sort unless they make one
I need help... I'm trying to convert mines to electric
Its fairly easy if you follow the schematic for the Rampage MTE on the Redcat Racing webpage. That is the parts I used and converted to use, but I am changing my current set up for better gearing options so stay tuned for that video.
Can I?
