Nuggets of wisdom I've heard Anakin say that have helped me: - Defense: Actually knowing what they are doing. Having the Answer. Being able to execute on that answer. - It's not a pattern until you've seen it at least twice. Don't overthink it if they do or counter something just once. - Most people will look at how to deal with an interaction and stop there. Next level is to think how you got into that situation in the first place. - Act like you've done it a thousand times. Slow to the mission, you're gonna fail it. - Laws finisher always works. (That's just a reminder to Low parry these gd Laws)
I needed to hear that second part. People been breaking my grabs or parrying a low and sometimes I immediately think they're just that good by the movement and combos they use, then find out later that they will not break again the entire FT3 and the first one was just a fluke. I already wasted a whole match adapting my playstyle to something they aren't even doing.
It’s common strategy to keep testing the opponents even at the highest level in tournaments. So at the lower/middle ranks it might even be in your favor to ALWAYS take that doubtful approach when playing. There’s just no way your opponents are that good. Make them prove themselves.
It’s mainly down to knowing the majority of moves and noticing a pattern from it. I’d assume Anakin would agree in him finding it easier because he knows the possible moves of a char (neutral)
i think they are using the the sound effect from the 50s Godzilla when it died. Film trivia... Spielberg used it when the truck dies in Duel. when the shark dies in Jaws. probably used in Jurassic Park some place lso.
The first 30s of this, I see a lot of players around my ranks (Mighty Ruler -+2) who will let me tee off for a round or two just to see what I'm throwing at them, they will literally press nothing until I take em off their feet(sometimes not even then) and then try to come back from a 2 round or even a whole match deficit. Sometimes they actually pull it off.
These educational videos have been amazing! They are giving me so many new things to think about. I really hope I am lucky enough to catch big boss on stream for a replay review. I think my case is also going to be interesting overall, cause I feel like some of my fundamentals are really really high level, for a red rank Steve. While others are pretty despicable at times/most of the time. And I've been struggling to get the whole package going, could really use a personal pointer like this to take my game to the next level!
Again gg! I was the shaheen at the end your tips you gave me after the match legit alreadt helped me get tekken king i hope to play you more in the future!!!!!
Reading their habits is the easy part, but it legit takes me forever to do something about it. My habits cloud me from countering their options until it's too late. Then I'm frustrated because I lost to it😂
@@Nmglotus infinite matches made 7 easier to rank up most specially if you found an opponent that's no match for you and keeps rematching then you leave when there's no more big points to get from him. The downside in 7 is when you get demoted. You have to earn like half of the points to rank up again. In 8, its easier to get back to your previous rank.
I have the exact same issue lol, trying to turn off the autopilot and actually apply what you've learned is super difficult in fast and stressful situations
As far as I know it's always written in the tournament rules. And if I remember correctly, the Tekken World Tour thing allows only binds on buttons the game allows you by itself, so both kicks/punches, grabs, heat etc, but f.e. multiple directional inputs are forbidden.
@@Azghalore First off you can't really use keyboards in tournaments since they aren't compatible even with converters on the ps5. So having the ability to press multiple directions at the same time is possible with leverless controlles like a hitbox, snack box micro, etc. where theres a button for each direction instead of a joystick. These are legal, the twt doesn't have any set rules on being able to press multiple directions, but note that these controllers will default a direction when two or more are pressed at once. Usually forward and back at the same time = nuetral and down and up = up but these can be changed. In Tekken it only really allows you to sidestep into the foreground out of crouch which you can't normally do. Aside from that it doesn't really matter so they don't care.
Maybe. Happens to some. But not everybody is the same. Depends on how fast you wanna learn and how committed you are to it. Some people just wanna have fun and if so it’s okay to switch and enjoy yourself
In my experience playing a bunch of characters will make you miss a bunch of punishes and drop combos, but it’s also the fastest way to thoroughly learn matchups.
Mhh i Do it myself because for me its the easiest way to learn the matchup. I grind every Character into blue ranks and higher to see how other ppl respond to some bs in the game and learn from it.
Controller? Slide your finger from df, to d, then df again. You don't have to be precise, you can just rub your thumb over down and forward twice and it'll register

I feel like pros ability for pattern recognition is what separates them from otherwise good advanced players.

I am here for the amazing character customizations. And that one comment where Anakin responds "noob"
I’m looking for that comment… haven’t found a suitable candidate yet 😂
why does king sound like a dying t-rex when he get's Ko'd when he's supposed to be a jaguar
hahahahaha bro i ask this myself every time

4:00 Steve's start with that stance so often I've started doing a running attack to hit them out of it.
I learn once Im 2 rounds behind 💀
🤣
When the opponent has a half life lead on you too in the last round, and as soon as you got it figured out they one and done you 😭😭
for reals
Same, my brain don't start braining till I'm under 30% and usually a round or 2 behind lmao

If only tekken 8 had infinite rematches a lot of ppl get away with murder bc their not used to only doing ft3

@sharkaholic2171 yeah, but the benefit I guess that comes with it is if learned properly, you can learn how to adapt to opponents quickly

Your original "How to download the opponent" video taught me how to read in smash ultimate lol thank you sensei
Anakin outfits are always great 😂😂
Offence: Maximize your options
Defence: Minimize their options
I wish i could low parry faster/react better and sadly i brain fart when it happens cause it feels like a miracle i even did it 💀
First time I low parried I couldn't believe it lmao
Anakin should do a defensive guide
Just me hitting 1,1,2 sentai3 with reina and jab check afterwards everybody presses lol
Wow you make law look amazing
Any tips for video games?

Hello! I have a question: players on keyboards can bind movement both on wasd and 4 extra buttons for LS. is it fair? Is it allowed in tournaments?

@@xenophontis8178 the thing is that game allows keyboard players to customise both d-pad and LS movement buttons.
