When you disconnected the display and the touch screen was there glue on the display? And the new touchscreen is glued, or the display is simply inserted into it?
Be really (I mean REALLY !) careful separating the digitizer from the LCD. As the LCD can crack really easily. Don't ask how I know ;) Maybe use a hairdryer to soften the tape/glue a little.

it's glued but it's simple to detach with a blade, at least on Yoga 500-14ACL
