Ramsey, your videos are not only intelligent, interesting and fun, they are a plethora of information and history. Your blogs are unique and very different from other perfume bloggers in every way. You do your homework. Thank you!
@@RamseytheRam You mean a lot to the people who watch your channel. Although I am speaking for myself, I believe everyone who watches your channel would agree.
1987. What a year. What a list. Amazing. Think 1987 is the year my favorite tennis player from the women’s side Steffi Graf burst into the scene. Glad you liked untamed oud.
Ramsey, keep on rockin’ in the free world, even though nothing is free except your videos, although we may all be buying you a coffee very soon, except there is nothing free in the world right now, and probably never will be. But, despite all that, I think you will still be rock’in in the free world, and hope all of us will still be free, even though nothing is free in any world.
Ramsey , love youre reviews and passion you put into it ! as a teenager in the 80's i must confess it was the best time to love and wear perfumes ... my favorite of 1987 was Parfum Rare by Jacomo
Loved this one 1987 I was 25 in my prime but sadly not too into fragrances 😮,fortunately catching up now lol 😂but paying a lot more than back in the day ,but happy to still be able to hunt most down cheers Rams have a great weekend fella ✌️🙏👍
I know Parfumo has Bowling Green listed as an '87 release, but I seem to remember it coming out in '86(I was a teen then). I checked Basenotes and Fragrantica, and they show '86 as the release year.
Bois du Portugal for me. The smoothest fragrance I've ever experienced. A few days ago I wore Bois du Portugal on one arm and gold cap vintage Guerlain Heritage on the other for comparison. Both fantastic scent profiles with fantastic performance. #3 and #4 in my overall 250+ bottle collection. Of the ones featured, I have Pacoma Gatsby, Lomani Pour Homme, Ceasars Man, Bowling Green, Salvador Dali Pour Homme, along with Bois du Portugal.
Tbh I’m not the biggest Lapidus PH fan but I think it deserves the first place anyway. I personally see a clear honey/patchouli bloodline going from the 70s (Givenchy Gentleman) to the 90s (A*Men) via stuff like Giorgio For Men and Balenciaga PH. Lapidus PH is the turning point on that line where things get gourmandy. This is way more noticeable in the vintage imho, where the dark chocolatey richness comes upfront
@@RamseytheRam Sure, let me explain. The point is I’m not into the whole honey/patchouli theme, tbh not even that much into many patchouli facets (being it the earthy, the moldy or the chocolatey ones). For example, I’m not at ease wearing stuff like Aramis 900, Giorgio For Man, Pavarotti and many other patchouli-heavy fragrances (even Gentlemen). Of course I bend the rules when it comes to masterpieces like Number One or Balenciaga PH, but the only patchouli facet I really dig is the green camphorated one (eg. Epic Man)
@@RamseytheRam Yeah, it may sound weird but the stuff I like doesn’t always overlap with the stuff I actually wear. I truly respect all the perfumes I’ve mentioned and I spray them with abandon at home but they just don’t suit me, like a piece of clothing you like but doesn’t fit at all. I feel the same about other stuff as well, like Shalimaresque orientals of borderline musks like Furyo
I have finally tried some vintage fragrance that you're keep talking about including Iquitos and others. What a different time it was.... I'm personally not a fun of most of them including Iquitos, waay to old school and masculine for me. I can NOT believe this was even considered as a feminine fragrance candidate, smells like a grandpa cologne to me lol :) But I have also tried a vintage Givenchy Gentleman, omg I'm in love with it, smells completely unisex to me, so beautiful. I need a bottle and a backup one :D Vintage Mitsouko surprisingly smells a lot more modern than the current reformulation, to my nose. How come... %) Overall it was extremely interesting to experience a perfume history, I'll keep trying other vintages.
Ooooo a very decent top 10. 👌 BdP would probably be higher for me, but I haven't tried half of the ones you mentioned! You're correct about the Caesar's Man bottle though. The older ones have the Legendary Cologne Spray moniker. My 'preferred' Drakkar Noir scent.
can you imagine smelling Fendi woman on a Hot lady in '24? its been forever that i've smelled it, but I remember it was a banger! Fendi did not play, both genders of the house's namesake fragrances are slayers

Hey Ramsey, Try to get Kouros Fraicheur and give your review on that, that i suppose is even better then the original Kouros but lets see how you find it, i know you'd love it
Eau de Sport and Fraicheur are poles apart and trust me You'd love it as i know your taste and your love for aromatic fougeres. Its the best Barbershop fragrance ever, just try to get 10ml mini for trying and see if it makes it to your top kouros list or not 😜
Awesome. I miss the boss sport 1987. Do you know if there are any good clones or similar fragrances? I've been looking for one like this ever since my dad's gifted bottle ran out years ago 😔
Lol I used to own Caesars Man very interesting scent although I wouldn’t put it as a top 10 especially after I got exposed to designers and niche brands that have been around for years
Well I am going off of Parfumo and they say 1987 for Bowling Green & Futuros so thats why they are in this video....could be off a year or two here or there 🤷🏻♂️
From all this list I have Lapidus pour Homme and Bois du Portugal, both in the vintage version. I would like to have Iquitos but I do not plan to pay what they ask for a bottle, I hope to be lucky and get it at a reasonable price, this world is going crazy with those absurd prices and the problem is that there are idiots who contribute because they pay absurd amounts for a bottle of pefume, I guess it's just my opinion but I will never contribute to ridiculous prices.
Dont reward that type of scalping behavoir for sure... but it is the open market and to be honest Iquitos is better than most Rojas so for 300 bucks it doesnt sound to crazy in that context...but I know exactly what you mean DMR... thanks for watching 🙏

For your Arrogance Uomo, s p.a. Milano was the first formulation. It's easy to tell because the little "e" in batch codes didn't appear until the 90s.
