Jason Bateman's character was basically created by him. They originally wrote his character to be really unreasonably straight laced, the joke was the wooden platitudes he spoke. A fantastic, but lesser-known example from him is "Mean Guns" ruclips.net/video/ZJ1ci5Z12EU/видео.html which I'd love to see a reaction to. If you enjoy it, you may even check out Pyun's "Captain America" (1990) (ahem... or don't. Really)
Dude, I don't think Albert Pyun's own mother has ever said "One of my favorite directors, Albert Pyun . . .".
@@donwhiteley3293 The only thing I can say about that is: probably true :D
Why does Steve gets ridiculed in a town that has the pirate ship attraction thing? Also Pirates in Mens Pants...
This is easily one of my favorite movies! I've recommended it to so many people and every time they have loved it as well.
Love this movie. The original (or possibly just an alternate) ending had them losing (which I saw as a bonus feature on the DVD copy I have). I haven't been able to confirm it, but I heard everything after 26:48 was changed because of the terrible reaction of test audiences. The studio wanted them to change it, but they didn't, so when they were forced, they made everything in the new ending super-ridiculous (and all the more hilarious).
I forgot how funny this movie was
This is one of the most quoted modern movies, imo. This movie is on my yearly rotation along with Balls of Fury which another fun one.
Please watch THE NEVERENDING STORY.
Great comedic cast! Alan Tudyk (the pirate) is also in A Knight's Tale, which I highly recommend!
