People keep bashing goomba, calling him dumb, useless, helpless and even worst things I can't even write here, and I think this is time that this stops! I'm done with the Goomba haters, and I will Make Goomba Great Again! Today, we will take a look at 10 reasons why Goomba is not useless!

You also forgot that Goombas are very brave and courageous! In literally every single Mario game, who's the first enemy you meet? A Goomba! In Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, there is even a female Goomba named Goombette who gives Mario info on enemies and is not afraid to face giant enemies and dragons, such as Bonetail. That is the 8th reason why Goombas are not useless!

So to recap, the goombas aren’t useless because
1: their extortionists
2: They posses the emotion of love and are more devoted to that emotion then at killing Mario, the thing they’re supposed to do.
3: They think creatively to do tasks as a group that other enemies can do alone
4: They mindlessly follows a destructive monarch (ok real talk this segment was pretty good)
5: They have basic self preservation skills
6: They’re everywhere
7: They help the enemy with fun games
8: Not all goombas are created equal
9: They have basic social skills
10: They can do basic movements with weak telekenisis

Goombas are used to complete jumpless runs, which is actually important for specific humans.
My headcanon was that originally in the mushroom kingdom, goombas were mocked by toads because of their lack of arms and stuff. Bowser comes in, the goombas see the toads panicking and think "Hey- this guy scares those jerky toads, he's awesome!" and Bowser sees the goombas starting to cheer him on and thinks "Hey- these little guys recognize how awesome I am."
One thing is, goombas seem to be effected by the powerups too, so I did have an idea for a fan game called "Rise of the Goombas" where after all this time, the goombas decided they'd have enough of being jumped on and steal ALL the powerups to use on themselves.
And yes, I had designed goombas for every powerup imaginable. My favorite was the Invinciblity Star goomba who's running and looks like he's out of control panicking because he can't stop himself. XD (I imagine you would hear the invincibility tune playing and then suddenly this guy runs across the screen and tries to take a swipe at you)

Goomba is UNDERRATED. He was the first enemy ever encountered in the Super Mario Bros. Franchise, yet he is being treated like nothing. Koopa and even Piranha Plant get more privileges than him >:( Koopa participates in Mario Kart regularly and Piranha Plant even got INTO SMASH! Boos are featured in multiple Mario sports games (like Tennis, Golf, Strikers etc.) and Mario Parties, Hammer Bro is playable in Mario Party 8 and Mario Kart Tour, even Lakitu is in Mario Kart 7 and 8. A more rare species like Wiggler even made the cut in Mario Power Tennis and MK7. But Goomba, THE most well known, iconic Mario enemy? Only playable in Sluggers and Super Mario Party... (excluding the Goombas from Paper Mario 1 and 2). How is this possible? Why are our bois the Goombas so disrespected? We need more Goomba rights activists like you out here, Nico. We need to get Goomba a spot as a playable character across the Mario Spin-Off franchises!

2.Always try to discourage a Goomba from walking off a cliff, no matter what it takes.Even if you have to lose a life to do it.DO NOT force them away from the cliff.
3.If you happen to have a lot of extra lives, let a Goomba kill you. They just want some attention by Bowser. However, don't let the same Goomba kill you multiple times.You might make it feel like it can boss you around.
