It does feel overwhelming, so I just tell myself a little bit every day goes a long way!

I just got diagnosed with endometriosis last week and hypothyroidism as well. I have adhd too lol. I get in a rut and the house will be a mess. What helps me to get started is putting on makeup and real clothes, usually that helps me get started when I’m overwhelmed. If I stay in pjs I can’t get motivated lol.

I would really love seeing more day in the life videos on good days and bad. I miss those. As crazy as it sounds it's comforting to watch videos were others are going through the same thing. I also have POTS and other chronic illness ☹️. Hope to see more actually videos . ❤️

YES!!! I could not agree more!!! It makes it be more doable too when you see somebody else doing it! All the little difficulties which you face every day and do not see anybody healthy struggling with and you feel so lonely and far away from other people. And also, "tricks of the trade;" how to still have an amazing and happy life regardless of the illness. I think that Aimee is giving us really good videos on it! It is a learning curve to manage an illness and there is much that you learn on the way (which seems simple after you have learned it, but before that is all new).

Thank you for sharing! I always feel like my days are so boring since I'm sick all day 😂 but I see how that also is helpful to know you aren't alone. I'll see if I can do a few of those soon.

Good advice. I try to get up every hour or every other hour and do something for 5 to 10 minutes. It adds up for sure. Like I will wash the dishes and throw in a load of laundry then the next hr put the laundry in the dryerand wipe on the counters, then the next hour sort the laundry into rooms, my son and husband put their own clothes away, then the next hur I might run the swiffer vacuum on the hardwood floors. It's definitely easier to stay in a routine once you start.

I actually know people who don't even have chronic illness that aren't even in the habit of brushing their teeth every day let alone having a cleaning routine! Good for you having these wonderful habits.

Good advice to think in zones. I never make my bed, I have a dustmite allergy so just let it air out. For cooking and doing dishes I use a bar stool, cannot stand that long. Vaccuuming is the worst, luckily my husband takes care of that.

Absolutely excellent video! Very practical and helpful! You know how to clean your house when you are feeling well, but being ill makes it a whole new story!!! This would also work for somebody with depression and getting out of it. All your advices and ideas how to do this where great! It kind of opened me to think this with very open mind. Long-term illness does not stop you having a clean home, the work just needs to be organized and done differently!!! Thank you so much Aimee!!!

Great encouraging video. One little tip, wipe the crumbs in to your hand then put them straight in to the bin, it stops the being trampled in to the floor and becoming another thing to clean up. I’ve been trying to get my dishes done each day, even the dishwasher needs loading and unloading. I have POTS and do it in stages while sitting on an office chair with wheels.

Good morning, I'm just understanding my chronicle illness condition, I have multiple problems and I work far from home, sometimes when I get home I can barely stand, or I have to rest for at least 2 or 3 hours, so I can do nothing of my cleaning. I wuold lire to ask to those of you who works, how do you manage to cope with housecleaning consistency. Thanks for your videos, now I know that I'm not alone!!!

Great tips! I've set up daily minimums for myself probably half a year ago. They are going really well, and make such a huge difference in my home! (And in how I feel mentally.) The extras you mentioned, well, I need to focus more on those😂. I love to clean, but I always feel there are a million other things needed my attention, energy, and time. Maybe I'll try out your cleaning block!!

    • @Aimee_Esther

Yes so many things you can do extra every day. Just pick one thing a day and I promise it adds up really fast! :) You got this!

i use a computer chair to so I can sit and do dishes. I even sweep and vacuum from my desk chair. I have been in chronic pain for decades so I have had to learn how to do everything in a way that I don't hurt myself

I use tv to do chores. On commercial I clean, when the show comes on I lay down and rest. Then work again next commercial. This way I’m working in 5 minute increments. I find this is less overwhelming.

I have 4 zones. 1 the main floor if someone came in the house like a lawyer or unexpected how would I feel with them on that floor. 2 upstairs since it’s not major but needs to be able to get through. 3 basement which is a mess right now lol. And 4 outside

I’m not chronically ill but I have my morning routine! It seems a bit nerdy to have such basic things like brush my teeth on this list but I get overwhelmed easily, so it keeps me on track. Then I try to tackle one “zone” a day :) thanks for the great video!
