Loved the sample of this so much I bought a bottle. And what a disappointment! I'm suspecting they reformulated this. Compared to the sample, its like they took out all of the smoke. All of the magic and darkness that brought me to love it was gone. Still somewhat wearable, just wayy less deep and intriguing to me.
I've been buying samples like a madman to find another wearable smoky scent ever since lol.

omg what? Nooo! I decanted most of my own bottle thinking I'd just re-up soon to replace the one in my personal collection. Now I'm scared to buy a new bottle lol. Where did you get your full bottle? I'll have to try a sample of the new version to compare. The version that we both love that you tried from DecantPlanet was from LuckyScent purchased in May 2022. Since it's a pretty under-the-radar fragrance and that wasn't thaaat long ago, maybe someplace has one of the older bottles still!

@@fragrancenotes Bought it a few weeks ago from Luckyscent.
If you manage to find somewhere selling older bottles, i’d be thrilled to hear about it!

I purchased a full bottle of this after I fell in love with a decanted sample. I noticed something similar--though I love it just as much as I did before. I also purchased a bottle of Copal Azur from a decanted sample (check this one out if you haven't, it's smokey but intensely marine) but noticed the same thing. The dry down and notes were quite different for both fragrances. I wonder if it's the density of the application--a full droplet vs the atomizer. Perhaps this affects the rate of evaporation or dispersal of the scent molecules?
