Great break, last I surfed it in 2006 with only 15 others in the water with a hangover. Probably a bit more in the water these days but wouldn’t imagine it would be like Tea Tree or Snapper Rocks. Works best on ENE swell and in Cyclone season but when it’s on, it’s on.
“World’s longest point break”? Not even nearly, bruh. Check for yourself before making such a claim. Mates and I have ridden 2 longer point breaks here in Africa, but those (and yours) don’t match up to Chicama’s 4km.
Yeah mate I remember hitchhiking on the beach to get to this spot mahalo to the bradahs who picked me up! It is a mission to get there too only two back packers no Wolies just good waves and good people 🙌🏾🤙🏾
Went pretty much every weekend for a couple of years. That's better than I ever saw it personally but had some great days still. Back then if eight people were in the line-up it was a crowd. And no hassle. It's a fucking zoo now. Wild horses couldn't drag me back there.
That’s fucked, one of the last bastions of refuge for shorebirds and heaps of tools with no environmental clue or consciousness just ripping up a sand highway. As humans we’ve managed to get cars to almost every inch of this planet, there is no hope.
wtf are you on about? Birds nest below the high water mark do they? By all means call out the morons who needlessly drive through undisturbed dunes, but there wasn't one vehicle in this video above the high tide line. FYI there are regulations where you can and can't drive and National Parks will fence off nesting locations that experience decent traffic.
@@timxvx really, really Tim. After 2 years you have a dialed in that the entire Australian Surfer population doesn't give a s*** about the ocean or keeping our ocean clean. I took the trip once. Slightly onshore, I would jump into the water and if I did not catch a wave within 20 seconds I would be swept out of the take off area come out of the water 300m down the beach, run 1/2km back jump in 200m outside the take off area and try again - never to succeed. But it looked nothing like this and was nearer the point proper which was less bad that day than this beach area.

Joel. What are you going to tell your son, when one day he asks you where have all the birds and wildlife gone. You’d be scratching your head I’d assume.
I'm not going to apologize for the idiots who go on Google Earth and figure this s*** out. What I will apologize is for the fact that I haven't broken out enough fins on douchebags boards who show up with Five Guys on a fully loaded SUV with a snorkel thinking this is the trip of their lifetime. Those are the people that need to stay the hell away from beautiful places like this. Yes I am regular foot, natural footed
Heard of Skeleton Bay? Now that is LOOOOOOONG
Where is it?
"Worlds longest point" then the longest clip posted is about 15 seconds. Looks fun and all.
Lots and lots of things that have sharp teeth and will bite hang around.
Thanks for post this, next swell there will be 200guys with you there
I surfed that place. Is amazing but doesn’t work very often. Also already crowded.
Good to keep cameras off

Australia's very own skeleton bay

Fraser Island is probably the sharkiest spot in Australia and I've never met anyone who has surfed there despite it being reachable from my home.
